Age is just a number, I remember flailing around the dance floor to Pssyche, The Wait & Requiem back in the 80's. In my head I'm still that age when I hear them.
@@TheWolfsnackHear here! Turning 61 next month. Was a teenager 1st time seeing KJ live. Fan for life. Still going to shows. Wish KJ was still on the roster, but their music is as amazing and meaningful as ever, even moreso in many respects.
This song dates back to 2009. A proto version is on Geordie's MySpace. Track 7 if I recall correctly. Early versions of Penny Drops, The Great Cull and Honour The Fire are also on there.
Stumbled on this track before the rest of MMXII, and can't stop, can't stop... listening..easily the best one, IMO. If not mistaken - SHOCKS to the brain on theta like a killer big-O while all the others in play throughout the song, if not simultaneously. I cannot describe this. Perfection! Overwhelming genius unrivaled by ANY, there is nothing else close to KJ. Most relevant, powerful, life embodied in sound. Gratitude and amazed. Yes and pay homage!
Fantastic!- need this to be on the next 12" b side now! intro reminds me a bit of (or a lot of..) 'der mussolini' by D.A.F. MMXII LP is an absolute GODZILLA sized monster of an album, incredible face pummeling majesty from start to finish.
I believe MMXXII would be a comfortable title for the album. Ahaha. Colony Collapse is a perfect song for this period as well. Actually the whole thing is really great; was just listening now. I have a hard time making out lyrics on New Uprising and it can't help if it was released as a lossy digital file on itunes and then reuploaded. A repressing of MMXII with any "b-side" material would be great. The Absolute Dissent LP has extra tracks....it's good to have a hard copy of some kind.
Funny you should say that...saw em headlining Saturday night at Elephant Fayre in 1985 in a torrential downpour, complete with lightning, howling wind etc. Was storming (no pun intended), elemental...no point trying to describe it, you get the idea. 'fakestonbury ' made me laugh, thank you
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸 I can play on guitar in e it takes every bit of energy to pull it off really tricky Rift it's like two songs in in 1 tricky Geordie''' thank you for your guitar
Such a good closing track to MMXII, it shouldn't have been an iTunes exclusive though. To me, it is concentrated KJ, everything they've been building throughout their history condensed into one, note perfect, super-tight track...from the best album they've ever done.
Great song. It's a shame it's not on the record. But for some reason I don't like the production on this album - you can't even hear the guitars clearly, the mix is just TOO chaotic. But a great album nonetheless.
It is disappointing that KJ falls in the failing of "itunes bonus track" ...it nearly sucks that KJ, in some way, partake in the growing influence of Apple.I'm sure that Apple are good products, but why should we all have or use Apple products ? Apple seems to me like a dictatorship on is users: if you have an i-pod-pad-phone you're bound to use i-tune...and one day you'll be bound to wear i-pants to listen to your music !!!! But I'm sure that many guys are waiting for the issue of the i-pants.
Oftentimes decisions like this are made by a record executive and not the band. It’s quite crazy at times. I know the Cure were not allowed to release their 2004 album how they wanted it because Geffen forced them to pull 2 songs off. You’d think the band could say Don’t mess with our vision, but apparently they can’t.
i stole this track from the tinterweb when you were knee high to a grasshopper, Its shit. on all hallows eve is all you will ever need to be a great human.
another riff from hell Thx Geordie we miss you
Rip Geordie. Bonus??!! Hell yeah!!
Bonus track !!!! I say it was mega, I am pushing 51 years old now & still love this band

Indeed!
Um...I turned 70 last September....been a KJ fan since 1980....

Love it, Killing Joke is still on top of their game 33 years into their career!
"33 degrees, I do as I please" - Dark Forces
The script makes it's appearance obvious now and again. 😉
I can't believe this track didn't make the album, so good!
Nor I.... Would have been maybe the best on it.

fuck me this song has balls!! ...playing it loud at 6.30 am prepares ye for dealing with any scumbags coming your way!
Totally... song makes me want to kill. ;)
Yet another song that had predicted the future turmoil. All these years and no one has taken a stab at the lyrics?

Invoking nature's chaos or embracing it?
I have this album, but I do not have this song. Guess I need to buy it again WITH the bonus tracks. Awesome song!
Just come across this track, can't stop playing it. It's the dogs bollocks!!
My big black male Standard Poodle agrees!
Goaddamnit, i wish this was a hidden track on the album. Damn iPods.
Why did they not put this on the regular album??? Great track.
Love it
personally i've never cared that much about their production. it's all about the attitude and songwriting for me.
Listening to it high.

This is great why wasn't it on the album?
Agreed.... one of their best
Great is not good enough for Killing Joke. :-)
@@princeofcupspoc9073 It's better than over half the tracks on the proper record.
Either done after the project or seeking folks to buy the album with the additional. Much like everything else. Cheers!
It's on it, just for ITunes. I believe that the label forced them to make this gem exclusive(
ROCK

That's Ok, Killing Joke...I wasn't using the rest of my brain anyway...go ahead and just keep blowing me away...

Just keep slamming that number 9 in your keyboard

Love their early work.. this sucks
How the fuck is this only a bonus track? Best one on the album easily
