Thanks for watching hope you enjoyed!
I have a old jamo sub which sadly had foam rot. Refoamed it with my dad, that thing plays down 30hz with no problem. If you find any jamo speaker for a reasonable price grab it
Its a shame there wasn't a pair of those Jamo speakers. They are nice looking retro speakers and quite collectable. Even if the foam gaskets are rotted they can be replaced or if the driver is screwed the boxes on there own are still nice and other drivers can be put in to them.
i do enjoy these videos. especially what you have made with the old woofers and box, keep up the great work man
Happy Birthday dude! Keep this content up, I love learning about these things :D
This was an awesome video! Definitely would like to see more of this, especially with the idea with the speaker box.
Nice to see you uploading today and happy belated birthday
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LOVE YOUR VIDEOS.. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!:)
Happy birthday man!keep up the great work👌
i think the crosover coils are on the magnets becuse it means they can have a higher inductance with less turns of wire
Happy Birthday and great video! would like to see more of this!!
Happy b’day from england! I have been a subscriber for 2 years
I really like the casual style of this video. funny stuff more of this :D
Loving your videos!
Happy birthday! You have a lot of ability and knowledge for a 17 year old. Top stuff, lad.
Richard Cai wait... He's 17?!
Teh Huaweiier Watch the beginning of the video. He has a lot of excellent knowledge in the physics and electronics departments for his age. I am also impressed with his cinematography and camera abilities.
He just have the opportunity to tell common things about speakers :/
Nice
Happy birthday man best videos everr
Nice! Always fun to see a new video. Keep it up!
Happy birthday! keep making the great videos!
I have in my room a panasonic SAHT870IN in total of all the speakers is it 1000 watts
Great upload and hope you bday went good :)
These are really fun to watch. This could maybe be a series?
JAMO produces fine speakers!
Happy birthday man! I love your content it is awesome! Also i can't wait to see what the shit box will look like after a month from now on XD
The coils on the back of the drivers are the inductor coils that would be placed on the crossover, but to save money they seem to be placing them on the back of the magnets. This eliminates the need for an inductor core as the speaker magnet provides the nessecsary magnetic field in order for the coil to work effectivley.
Happy birthday!!; first i like to thank you for your videos, ive always had a thing for speakers your voice and explanations of them is very good your voice is good and very easy to listen too its not annoying but your video production quality can be better thump ups!
so was it a fake Jamo speaker ? because some time ago i bought a set of Jamo E 500 from a thrift shop, and they sounded really good. They were really high quality, with good build quality, real crossover and high quality components and just overall a really nice set of speakers...
It is a real one. The one in this video is from the compact series, made around 1987. I own 2 of the compact series myself ( compact 120 and a compact 70 ), i refoamed the woofers ( they had foamrot just like the one in this video ), and the sound is pretty good.
Love these inside vids
*Happy Birthday, Been on this Channel Since 3k*
They are cross overs stuck to the back of the magnets, they do this on cheaper speakers as a way to reduce electronic noise, by sticking it to the rear of the magnet, it stays with in the same magnetic field snd you dont get any outside interference. Aka that fuzzy noise that comes out of speakers when they are plugged in
They all have decent lil subs in them
Panasonic, LG is super budget friendly
NerdyBassHead 2004 🌚
I have a nice Sony powered sub it's a little older probably early 2000s it has a 6 inch driver and man does it shake the place
You can sometimes peel off heat shrink if soldering is needed.
Amazing video as always!
"It means that one has to go" or in other words you crank it up to 11.
Also happy birthday! I always thought you where like 20 or so :D
OMGGG I LOVE THOSE VIDEO SO MUCH
I have used speakers in the garden for quite a few years before they go bad maybe 3 to 5.
Ive made a cool speaker that has 2 80 watt subs with great excursion and 2 all range 6 watt over powered literally speakers in a box, like an actual shipping box, its very rad. Very bassy, dont know wattage of my 1st external amp its conected to... Also i have a little wired speaker thing with two drivers.. All speakers used are salvaged by other projects or boxes
Doublsmm: “touching the wires together and we can hear it twerking”
Me: *I didn’t know speakers could twerk :3*
Im so buying those sweatshirts!!! the design is amazing :D
Finally some good speaker related channel.
The coil is part of the crossover!
Happy birthday ^^
Happy birthday my dude
Dude if I have a soundbar with subwoofer that is 130w and I want to change the sub what I should buy better then the original?
The last one you opened up is actually pretty decent, I used to have one and I couldn't get it to blow. But then again my amp only puts out 250 watts
Jamo speakers are actually pretty good especially the jamo 256
I really like your videos, they are enlightening and interesting.👌👍
Nice! a new video after my boring schoolday
holy sht you are 17?! Great videos!
Do more videos like this !good video btw
I think the coils on the back of the mid and tweeter are crossover coils.
Do you still have the sherwoods? If you have them pls do a whats inside thrm:)
Happy birthday! you earn more subscribers!!
You are able to refoam drivers, you just need to buy a surround, and that will usually come with glue, and then spend an afternoon putting it on. That speaker isn’t worth it for sure, but you are able to.
Get rubber
@@hashvolting Not always the best solution. Rubber is heavier (especially the cheap eBay ones), and if the speaker isn't designed for it, it's detrimental to the performance. The new foam will last longer than you'll keep most speakers. And, some rubber does crack or go brittle.
Do a what’s inside, and buy like 5 $20 speakers from your nearest dollar general, or and other gas station like store which has speakers for sale.
Oh wow I have the Panasonic subwoofer, it's actually really nice but mine has no port noise
I love content like this
How do you get these woofers?
Happy Birthday Doublsmm hope more wishes to come.
yo... why didnt you just say all the 5 comments in 1 comment?

Where can I buy one of those Panasonic or LG sub thats in this video? I had one but busted out :(
It's nice to see Doublsmm uploading video again!
Dude love all your vids I will also give u a shoutout
I really enjoy watching your Videos because I do just the same! I just really like taking speakers apart and look for something nice 😂
I just got a Sony MHC-V73D and the bass rattles my windows. Anyone know if Sony speakers are good? The woofer is massive.
Jamo actually make some decent speakers
Decent not Only Decent They do really good speakers
You should show inside of PC speakers such as trust raina 2.1 sub speakers and what not.

Happy Birthday!
Have you tried blowing lightbulbs with the cv-2800?
Dont work refoam ?
Only 16.. I thought you were at last 20.. but happy birthday
What kind of speakers do you have in your room
Jamo speakers are very high quality speakers. I have a 7.1 surround sound system with Jamo speakers
banaanpower332 Most Jamo speakers are good. He just brought The budget stuff.
HI I am from monterrey México, yours videos are cool.
Can you learn what a filter is and how it works ?
U can also use the screwdriver to open the lg cover
Good idea
Happy birthday!
Happy Birthday:D
That Jamo looks like a knock of of a old realistic system I seen. The crossover components are most likely glued all over to save a few $. Instead of mounting them on a board and soldering them in place they just glued them wherever they fit.
Happy Birthday bro
Happy Birthday afterwards :D
Ayy Happy Birfmas and whaddya thinking bout a david vs goliath speaker? like you create the david. this box literally covered with speakers? there are quite some concepts that do so...and since that one is gonna be shitty im pretty sure you can have some fun with it after it got like 7-8 speakers in it? :D
Jamo is a higher end brand , very big in the late 70s through the 90s, the one here is a late 80s version.
thats the way jamo build speakers i have a set that says on the back not to compare with other speakers
More more more I love these videos
Do you have speaker that you don’t wanted anymore
What song to you play
I wasn't told about when your birthday was but hey happy birthday.
That LG sub on the floor looks exactly the same as the zenith sub.
I been wanting to get a subwoofer
I had that gray lg subwoofer when I was 6 years old XD
manda esses 4 alto falante sub para mim!por favor
Crazy how you destroyed that jamo speaker. If i'm right, isn't jamo like some sort of off brand of klipsch?
....jamo are very good speakers...there *one* of the best speaker brands on the entire world
aw man.. woofers from the other videos were all a bit beefyer than these were... but not bad notheless! nice vid

Wszystkiego Najlepszego
it's a very nice video to watch ;-)
