    Gigi, all is working on my TL 18 with Tex 70 except for loading the bobbin. Every time I try, the bobbin thread is loose and, thus, the bobbin thread on the fabric is too loose and bottom stitches are a mess. When loading a bobbin with Tex 70, should I be doing something different than with my regular Glide thread? Thank you for all the support.

      Its not cut out to sew leather daily :) However in industrial is. Industrials are very one purpose driven machines so its nice to still have the Tl to do the lighter weight materials and industrial for the leather and heavier stuff only. We will do a video on this soon.

    What is the reason not to use the thread cutter with tex 70? Also, will the TL-2000QI sew as slow as the machine you are using in this video? I know it doesn't have the speed control on the machine, and speed is only regulated with the foot peddle. But wanted to know if the 2000QI can go as slow with this machine. I sew a lot at slow speeds and use tex 70 thread a lot. thanks!

    • @JukiJunkies
      @JukiJunkies  Год назад +1

      It will be hard to be consistent on a TL2000... The thread cutter isn't designed to cut industrial threads. It will work once or twice but you will jam it fast or dull your blades.

    Hi, info i was looking for my local store didn't know. I'm considering adding this machine to my stable, and my work horse for leather goods is my post bed industrial machine, but like idea of this for lighter weight leathers & having flat bed! I use Tex70 & some 45/46. When you say don't use the auto cutter on "heavier threads", what is that cutoff? Does that include cotton top stitching threads, too, or just any size of bonded nylon? Thanks!

    • @JukiJunkies
      @JukiJunkies  Год назад

      TEX 70 is the thickest you can sew and cut with this machine. We recommend not using the cutter a ton as it will dull the blade faster than normal quilting threads.

    • @The126869
      @The126869 2 года назад +3

      I think you are confusing TEX weight with thread wt. a TEX100 is way to thick for your domestic TL series....but a 100wt would be super duper thin. Yes, thread weight is very confusing. I would recommend a TEX40 or TEX45 (for reference, a TEX30 is all purpose thread weight) you could use a TEX70 also. Wawak (in USA) sells thread and lists the TEX weight. Guterman is a great brand to use too.
