Chomsky spoke at my school in 1992 for three hours, TESTIFYING, impressive knowledge of US foreign policy and sharp dry wit, I had never heard anything like it...
One can say of Noam Chomsky what Einstein said of Gandhi: "Generations to come will scarce believe that such a one as this walked the earth in flesh and blood".
Piers and Noam have pretty different political views tho. He usually tends to interject much more in interviews. I agree he showed the due respect needed to interview the GOAT.
Two people I wouldn't have expected to see in the same video. It seems Piers is capable of conducting a serious interview with a serious commentator. He should do it more often.
Until 19:02 when he begins spouting his opinion about "woke." It's no longer an interview. No group identifies as woke. It is manufactured term by a group of people to label another group as a label. Rhonda Santi can tell you all about it.
Chomsky is unique, unprecedented personality, he is at the level of ancient philosophers, a huge thinker. I am excited he has existed and still is here. A point of reference for the past and the future

A masterpiece interview, Chomsky is the few remaining crown jewels of our time. I noticed Piers moving his head back and forth trying to say something but eventually let Chomsky speak for the most of the time. Not a lot of people can take on to debate Noam Chomsky.
Chomsky has a very outdated perspective on war and particularly nuclear war. A good example being nuclear winter. This has been debunked as nothing more then a theory for some time now. Also this idea that China is not becoming on par with the US technologically is also outdated information. As someone who's been to China I can tell you that China is on par with and have even surpassed the US in certain military capabilities.

When this came up on the algorithm I couldn't believe it. The combination seemed so unlikely, yet it was a fine and nuanced interview. I listened to hundreds of hours of his speeches and interviews since 2006-ish. Beyond epic. Morgan is NOTHING compared to Chomsky. He doesn't talk about 1% of the things Noam ever does.
I might be at where you where at 2006. But Im don’t consider myself a connoisseur at history nor politics. Which books would you recommend me in order to begin to understand his point of views. Also , which interviews and speeches. I want to understand the system better.
Chomsky is intelligent but wrong he ideologically aligns with Anarcho-Syndicalism and Libritarian Socialism. Both center on a worker controlled economic system. This idea is fundamentally flawed and here's why maybe you work at Wal-Mart, maybe you work in a factory, maybe you work in warehouse, maybe you work in an office building, perhaps a hospital or a stadium. Well the workers didn't spent the millions of dollars it took to buy the property, clear the land, build the facility, stock the facility or maintain the facility BUT now that someone has done all that for them they just want to show up and own the place and rather than being greatful someone took a risk and invested hundreds of millions of dollars in creating a place that will provide you and many others the ability to work and provide for your family the view is because that person becomes wealthy from their investment ( that provides you the ability to feed your family) they're supposed to be the oppressor. Well worker man why didn't you build a factory? And of you did wouldn't you just turn it over to the workers ? Capitalism has pulled more people out of poverty than any other economic system in human history but I digress let's just look at Anarcho-Syndicalism that believes the role of the state is to protect private property while Libritarian Socialism doesn't recognize private property at all . So now you've created a system in which people are subjugated to laccepting the lowest common denominator .
@@matsauvageaactually the workers clear the land, built the facility, stock the facility, maintain the facility, and work in the facility. The someone that has done all that for them workers, are workers just like them.

@@AmazinglyAwkward Civil service being useful. Climate scam. Trump being more dangerous than Biden.
He is no longer Noam the Grey, he is Noam the WHITE!
@@peterjuvinall4835 Get off your political high horse for a second, it's ridiculous to say that. He is easily the most significant linguist in the last 70 years, and that is undeniable regardless of your political affiliations
This is a great interview. One of those interviews that aim to become a point of reference after this person is gone. Both understand it, and so that is why not much interruption is happening.
@@matsauvageaworkers take risks - I risk great personal suffering and also bodily harm from heavy things falling. Personal bodily injury or death is possibly the greatest risk you can take, so I’d be interested why taking a financial risk gives you the moral right to own capital but taking risks with your personal safety does not give you a moral right to have some say in the economic decisions you’re party to
@IWannaGoMissing maybe you should go missing?
Thank you professor chomsky for educating this man with facts!
Piers shows a lot of respect for Noam. I thought it was funny that Piers facial expression betrays his impatience at wanting to cut in when his guest is speaking.
Piers knows he can not interrupt a man of pure knowledge.
Translation ? Propaganda
Pure knowledge??? He is a linguist. That is his expert subject, his only authentic academic qualification. And he said that those who chose to not receive the experimental mRNA clot shots should be jailed. He talks like he is an expert on subjects he has no expert knowledge on. Belief is different to knowledge.
Pure BS.

I must thank Mr Morgan ... he showed the right respect and gesture to Mr Chomsky ...
Noam Chomsky is a legend! He lectured at my university once!
Only once ? 😂
A rare occasion. A coherent Piers Morgan interview
WhAt dOeS tHaT mEaN?
Yup because he shut up for most of it.
He’s been cool since being on RUclips. Used to be a tough listen back on his MSM days.
This is an absolute gold dust. Morgan surprised me - restrained and artful in the interview. Loved it - will come back again and again for seconds. None inspire more than Noam - he is such a blessing
