H Frendal while this is a really high quality light I understand that it is very expensive compared to other lights that claim to be just as bright. I got a good deal on this light otherwise I wouldn't have bought it. I will be comparing this against some cheaper options. check out my review of the nitecore p12... it's a good option.
The price is not the problem, its the options, its also an inch too long for my taste. My biggest issue however is that it comes in only one option when it comes to the power output, I want a light with more options. I am sure the build quality is great, but due to what I mentioned above its not the right one for me, I am planning to switch out my old one with a new one, so I lots of time finding the right one for the job after all.
I agree. The single function can be an issue... but like you said, its all about what the purpose of the light is. The issues you point out is also why i carry my Nitecore P12 more than I carry the Surefire p3x. I get multi modes of function and brightness which gives me alot more options and saves me lot on batteries. While I love the multi mode lights I also love the simplicity of the single function lights... no fumbling around through the modes... if you need a ton of light right now... you got it! Again, all about what you plan to do with the light.
Please like, share and sub for more!
Probably a good light, but not the right one for me, thanks for telling me.
