It looks like a modern portrayal of a Wendigo. The native American wendigo was just a large, pale man, A skinwalker is a smaller version of that but they can shape shift and mimic they're past victims voices.

However, Skinwalkers are native American witches. Able to shift their form by using the animal skin on their back, most skinwalkers come from doing a heinous act like murdering a family member.
