exactly! before the advent of modern deaf schools and standardized sign languages, there were communities/villages around the world where both hearing and deaf people used sign language to communicate with each other. these "village sign languages" emerged because there were high rates of deafness in the community passed down through families. it was normal for hearing people to just know the local sign language. a lot of these village signs are no longer in use but it's a fascinating way people have adapted to include and accommodate everyone in their community.

    I am a hearing person.
I have been self-taught ASL over 10 years.
I am very sad I don't have the resources I used to, so I can communicate with friends using ASL. I would absolutely LOVE to connect with anyone deaf/HoH whom I can refresh my ASL skills with. I will also love to share some of the ASL I know with any hearing person. :)

My cousin doesn’t hear or speak and he married a girl like him that doesn’t speak or hear they have a baby boy and they had to take him early at the kindergarten because he started talking and hearing but his parents could only teach him the sign language
I pray to god that this beautiful baby girl talk too because they do have a hard time in their life if they don’t communicate verbally

Rather learn it at the College give kids the chance to learn it... kid's learn faster when they are young.
I learned in grade school & right before I graduated High School I was working at Physical Therapy & we had a deaf man we working with... I was the only one who could communicate with him.
    You Never Know! 🐾😉👍🐾

✝️People don’t want to accept the fact that we are horrible, miserable, sinful beings thats deserve eternal damnation in the fiery pits of hell ,and deserve to burn for all of eternity for the sin that we have committed, we deserve nothing good we don’t deserve heaven we deserve hell. But there was one man, who died 2,000 years ago, so we can have eternal life, and all you have to do to receive that eternal life is Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; repent of your sins and turn to God follow in Jesus’s footsteps, and you will inherit the kingdom of God.✝️
Romans 10:13 for "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved."
Revelation 21:27 and nothing unclean, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.
Galatians 6:8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
Revelation 21:27 and nothing unclean, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.

Sign language is awesome to use with young children bc they are able to communicate nonverbally until they are able to speak. Great for parents to interact with children!!!! Recommend this for every family

Language development in children brought up wïth sign from birth generally runs about 6 months ahead that of children brought up with spoken language.

They are moving their hands way to fast. I am impressed the kid have picked up anything at all, but if they were doing it propperly she would know more.
When teaching a baby to speak you must make it simple and slow so they catch the nuances. Always be just out of reach of their current level, forcing them to move slightly out of their comfort zone.
They hear/see enough normal talk from their surroundings, so make it simple when communicating directly to the child.

This is amazing. I love it. We taught our son asl signs from a baby signing book, even tho I am not fluid ASL I learned signs and would be able to tell him eat, all done, more, bath, milk, etc….and we felt he was less frustrated by not being able to talk but could still communicate. In fact he was signing milk at 4 months and talking not long after, using complete sentences by age 1. I think every family should teach basic signs to help babies learn.

What I hate about GMA is that they'll take this family's story and use it on GMA's social media and even tell us that they family is on social media but won't put the family's social accounts in their description box. It just makes it seem exploitative.
