Well I don't know who this Tim character is, but I hate how relatable it is that Megan Dunbar pauses as if he's going to continue, but then abruptly ends the sentence with filler words, like...

My name is Megan because my father thought we were having a woman-- he was having a wom-- a child that was going to be woman, and he was a very stalwart figure at the time, refused, stubborn as a bunion, and he wouldn't change his mind." So many quotable parts in this

I always understood it as: He didn’t work out what the sex (was); ie gender. He just knows there’s a beautiful, short haired blonde (with a bushy beard on a man face😍) that shares the same name as him. And because of that he’s interested in having this person as a roommate (regardless of if he’s a man or a woman) simply because they’re both Megans. I could be wrong of course, but this is how I always interpreted it
These 2 fkin’ guys have probably created the GREATEST CATALOG OF COMEDY in history. T & E have a tremendous amount of work out there from the shows, movies, Tim’s “trial” his run for D.A! Tons more is out there and basically every second of it is LAUGH OUT LOUD Hilarious

At the very least, I think they're gaining wider appeal (although it's hard to appreciate E's deadpan until you've seen how ridiculous he usually acts).
