In all honesty it looks great, even better than season 1 imo. The thing I didn't like about s1 was its poor compositing and the stiffness of some animations. Season 2 has improved on both aspects and it's frankly looking like Shibuya will be done justice by MAPPA.
i mean the art style is cool and all to make the animation more fluid but in the trailer when choso moved his body he literally have no head like attention to details is important too
It doesn't look bad but since they have changed their animation style detailed to simplicity that's what people can't seem to accept including me. They should have pick this style from the start rather than changing it later.
There's detail when it matters though, in the first five episodes there were several shots where characters were actually pretty heavily detailed, just not in the more fluid scenes. The Sukuna vs Gojo fight in the trailer is an exception though since the main animator behind it just animates that way specifically. The only real changes to detail that are always noticeable are the clothes and the hair, but idk how you could look at those 2 things and have it ruin the show for you, when there are so many other ways that this season looks better. Like the compositing, direction, background, colouring, consistency, animation, etc...
They just ruined the sukuna part everything else is fine They could hv kept the manga angle Nd the flames around him was menacing But overall cant blame them as many groups work on different scenes so ideally its a good trailer
