Someone in my area posted on FB Marketplace a great deal on a Alesis strike pro 14" kick which I'd love to add onto my Nitro Mesh Kit since it's a much bigger pad for my double bass. Is this as simple as plug and play? Is it compatible with my kit?

no, that's not the meaning. Dual zone refers to 2 different 'zones' you can hit for two different sounds. It's essentially 2 triggers in 1. In this situation it's the pad is one zone, and the rim is another.
@@demonicsweaters hey thanks for responding so fast. Im buying the surge mesh or the nitro mesh, used to have an acoustic set. They both seem the same.

Question... is it possible to hook up wireless headphones to the nitro mesh by using a Bluetooth to headphone receiver and then connecting the headphones through Bluetooth or do you think it would be delayed
Press the 'utility' button on the module, then hit the pad you want to change, then turn it up or down using the arrow keys. Once it's set how you like it, press save until you see 'save pad' then again and it'll save.
Great video! This is completely unrelated to your subject matter in the video but what is the drum fill/technique called that you played at 9:36? It sounds so cool and I want to learn how to do that!
@@BassGods well maybe you'll have better luck. But the ones I had would get stuck choked then you'd have to peel off the pad to fix it. I had two, sent them back, same exact thing on the replacements. Pintech is really janky overall. But their single zone crashes are good for how cheap they are.
What kind of arms did you buy for these and where can I find them? It looks like the pintech TC's don't come with a boom arm/choke/any kind of arm. Whats the best arm I can buy that's compatible?
i read reviews about the Alesis nitro mesh kit by customers. one complaint was the Module user manual being confusing and not helpful. i bought the kit and i agree the manual is horrible. everyone who does demonstrations of how to use the setting goes to fast.
Does anyone know any other affordable 10” snares that might work better? My only grief with the nitro is the size of the snare, as i’ts sometimes a little uncomfortably small. Then i could have the orig snare as a 2 zone ride...

@@adamontoremember Yeah for not that much more you get quite a bit of upgrades on the Surge amzn.to/3aVL5TA
What cable did you buy to hook it up to the cymbal cause I’m about to buy the cymbal and don’t have a cable laying around
ah, I should have mentioned that. It's just a standard 1/4" guitar cable.
Demonic Sweaters okay I thought it was I was just making sure but that’s definitely the most over looked item in the e drumming world for good reason cause who thinks about a cable lol thank you btw :)
Do you know if the alesis 12 inch snare from the crimson kit will work with the nitro module?
yes, it should
Where can i get the bigger snare drum pad
reverb.com is a good place to look
what would be the maximum number of expansions i could add to the standard nitro kit ?
It has two extra trigger inputs on the module
hi do you know if the snare of the alesis surge would it work on my alesis nitro?
yes I think it should, I'm pretty sure they use 5he same module
How did you make your open-close hihat not cut off quickly??
I’m not sure what you mean
@@demonicsweaters cause everytime I'm trying to do hi hat barking it cuts the open hihat sound instantly it sounds unnatural
@@timothye5042 I've never heard that term "hi hat barking" before, so I'm still not totally sure what yo mean. But I didn't change anything on my hi hat as far as settings go. I did create my own custom kits and keep the hi hat sound a lot lower than the default.
What's the best snare settings
it really depends on the person, preference and style of playing
Are roland Cymbals compatible with the Alesis nitro module?
The cymbal inputs on the nitro module are single zone. So any single zone trigger will work.
Do you have a video on how to make your tom 2 rim into ride? thanks.
No, but it's easy. Move your snare pad to tom 2 position then program the rim to be a ride.
@@demonicsweaters got it, thank you so much man.
If I got two of these kits, would one module have the capacity to build a monster kit?
Oops I misread that the first time. You would need two modules
Does the lemon 12x4 work with the nitro mesh?
It would surely work, but not sure how well it would perform since settings on the nitro are limited.
I just bought a crimson 2 module
Does it come with a cable so i can connect it to the alesis module? Or do i have to buy it separately?
You need to buy one, a standard 1/4" guitar type cable works,
does dual zone mean there are only two possible sounds, ie, there's no velocity sensitivity?
no, that's not the meaning. Dual zone refers to 2 different 'zones' you can hit for two different sounds. It's essentially 2 triggers in 1. In this situation it's the pad is one zone, and the rim is another.
All drum triggers have velocity sensitivity.
@@demonicsweaters hey thanks for responding so fast. Im buying the surge mesh or the nitro mesh, used to have an acoustic set. They both seem the same.
The surge has a better rack and dual zone tom pads. Other than that, the modules are the same.
@@demonicsweaters yeah, i think the surge then i can have a 6 sounds from the toms rather than just 3 allowing a cowbell, always gotta need more cowbell!!
can you add thing from newer alesis drum to older alesis drum
You mean like a trigger? yes it should work.
@@demonicsweaters even if i add a yamaha hi hat to a elesis nitro mesh kit
for this intro mesh kit, I read from one of the comment that when using the aux, the sound is delayed. is that true??
Not with mine. I run an aux in sometimes to play to music no delay. And I aux out to a sony stereo sometimes no delay. Very good module for the price! Good luck
Question... is it possible to hook up wireless headphones to the nitro mesh by using a Bluetooth to headphone receiver and then connecting the headphones through Bluetooth or do you think it would be delayed
I'm sure there would be some delay, which would make it very odd to play.
Demonic Sweaters I’m just trying to figure out how I can use wireless headphones I hate the wires getting in my way
Esimmons91 Me too, I just use headphones with a long cable and have it run down my back and onto the floor back up to the module
@@danielrawlings2820 same here, I was hoping Bluetooth would work
Can you tell us, how to adjust the hi hat sensibility?
Thank you! Huge fan from Panama City, Central America.
Press the 'utility' button on the module, then hit the pad you want to change, then turn it up or down using the arrow keys. Once it's set how you like it, press save until you see 'save pad' then again and it'll save.
@@demonicsweaters Thank You
Great video! This is completely unrelated to your subject matter in the video but what is the drum fill/technique called that you played at 9:36? It sounds so cool and I want to learn how to do that!
What is going on with that ride thats also triggering as a tom?!?!?!
all the tom inputs are dual zone, just not the drums. Switch your snare pad with the tom pad.
How do you get the rims to play as a ride?
seems that he swaped snare pad with 2nd tom. Now snare lacks a rimshot sound but he got an additional crash instead of ride.
Are the Pintech TC series choke capable?
no
is the ride cymbal chokable?
No
Why not get alesis surge snare
Last I checked, they don’t sell them on their own
@@demonicsweaters they do used my good brother

My high hats are broken, any suggestions?
what kind of problem are you having with them?
@@demonicsweaters well there are times that the triggers are not working
@@andreorlino773 check your cables and adjust your sensitivity.
Does the pintech cymbal have a choke?
no, not this one. The Pintechs that do are pretty terrible.
@@demonicsweaters OMG! I may regret ordering the choke version. Oh well! Thanks anyway.
@@BassGods well maybe you'll have better luck. But the ones I had would get stuck choked then you'd have to peel off the pad to fix it. I had two, sent them back, same exact thing on the replacements. Pintech is really janky overall. But their single zone crashes are good for how cheap they are.
@@demonicsweaters I paid $57 on Ebay for the Dual zone. I thought that was kind of cheap. So if it does that, I wouldn't be surprised.
I didn't watch the whole video. Is there a snare upgrade you can get? the 8 inch snare that it comes with is really small
Is the Pintech PC14 okay too?
looks almost the same as far as what I can tell. I think the only difference is the PC series come with an Aquarian spring mount.
Demonic Sweaters but is it good quality?
@@haejoon2007 I've never used it. The cheap Pintechs are good for the money though. Mine is still working great.
Demonic Sweaters Okay thank you
Same situacion with roland pads , but its alessis nitro module.....
What kind of arms did you buy for these and where can I find them? It looks like the pintech TC's don't come with a boom arm/choke/any kind of arm. Whats the best arm I can buy that's compatible?
You can just put them on a standard cymbal stand, which is what I did. amzn.to/2ZKIGEB
i read reviews about the Alesis nitro mesh kit by customers. one complaint was the Module user manual being confusing and not helpful. i bought the kit and i agree the manual is horrible. everyone who does demonstrations of how to use the setting goes to fast.
That cymbal is 44.99 now.
Still worth it
Does anyone know any other affordable 10” snares that might work better? My only grief with the nitro is the size of the snare, as i’ts sometimes a little uncomfortably small.
Then i could have the orig snare as a 2 zone ride...
I don't think a cheap one is really worth it now. Pintech though makes some 10" dual zone snares you can purchase on their website for $189. Since they've been in the game a long time, I will probably try one of those next.
also, I've switched to using 7a sticks on my Nitro, and that seems to be better with the little drums.
@@demonicsweaters good tip! I find the smaller size of the ekit hard to get use to. I have a yamaha dtx532k and it is small.
do not buy a PINTECH crash...its made of cheap plastic and the one i got the foam didn't line up to the curve? the ride isn't that bad, but you cant beat Alesis DM drum heads Command, Surge, and their 12 and 14-inch cymbals, I built a superset after beating so disappointed with the Turbo, I got 2 12 inch dual mesh pads and 2 10 inches, I added 2 real china cymbals,4 inches, and 8 inches. and need to switch mods, and or go MIDI into my PC and add it to a DAW/program....using a regular amp you get no deep kick.
ill have a 12 and 14-inch Pintech TC Cymbals on sale on Reverb for 55 bucks..
lol the snare he said alos this dude look like a gay tom kenny
Junk
Does the pintech come with a cable?
I actually don’t remember
