- Our trip to Doi Inthanon National Park near Chiang Mai in Thailand was an EPIC FAIL! Do not make these mistakes.
From one thing to another, things just kept going wrong, but at least you can learn from our mistakes. We still managed to explore some of Doi Inthanon National Park, home to the highest point in Thailand. This beautiful national park is worth visiting if you are planning a trip to Thailand. It's the perfect place to visit if you're in Chiang Mai as it is only a few hours away from the city.

You mentioned one needs to get better prepared. Can you please advise HOW? I have the LP that doesn't go into details. So, where shall I look for all the info? Are their tourist information centers in Pai that explain everything even though you are not going to buy their tours?

😂 yes we definitely didn’t make it up! But we still had a good time. we think it’s important to share real experiences. Not every trip is perfect, and that’s okay. You can still find good things and enjoy it when things don’t go to plan
I think the best thing to prepare what you want to see would be online. You can find a map of the park if you google doi inthanon and find all sorts of information too

Thank you for the video. A few questions:
1) How do you know where to take the shutte buses? Are the signs or it's near the majn attractions?
2) Was it foggy due to the rain or will there be a fog no matter if the weather is sunny or forecasted to be rainy?
There were signs for the shuttle, and when you arrive you are given a map and they will explain a few places to you then that you can visit. The shuttle also leaves from quite a large car park so it isn’t so difficult to find.
The weather was just because it was rainy. It’s not also foggy. If you get a clear day then you can actually see all the way to Chiang Mai apparently 😍 we hope you get it like that!
If you mean tour bus instead of shuttle, then we would recommend looking into a tour beforehand. We don’t have any recommendations for those unfortunately
