What really improved is that I stopped using directional air dodging to land and instead just use neutral air dodges. Nair dodges are seriously busted lol.

@@ThMnCompwnnt yes, you can footstool anyone at anytime they are not in hitstun. if you footstool someone when they are attacking or shielding, you wont jump off there head, but simply bouce up off them withoit putting them into that footstool.animation.
Stall with dair to mixup timings, fastfall airdodge, fastfall to ledge, shift your momentum with down b reverse etc. I legit watched an amazing ROB lose because he kept landing with nair and it got really predictable.
It may also be noteworthy that b-reverses can help a lot when using drift to land, since they can reverse your drift instantly. Especially with cancelable specials like limit, aura-sphere or peanut gun.
also b reversing. As a chroy player, b reversing neutral b is very helpful becomes not only does it completely reverse your momentum and is a great mixup. it also throws out a hitbox so if they realize "o wait they just did something big brain" and run back in they get hit. this will also work with something like a neutral b projectile (fire arrows, wolf blaster, etc.) probably the best landing mixup imo, especially if it's a projectile - hard to react to, makes your movement complex, and throws out a hitbox that if it's a projectile, just walls out the opponent. top 8, here you come
Elwind puts you in freefall so it isn't great beyond getting back to stage. Try b reversing neutral b and side b to mixup your momentum (drift one way and then b reverse). Going off stage and shooting an arcfire to cover you is pretty fancy as well. If you can catch them off guard, fast fall upair (cstick up + fast fall) > up smash/up tilt combos at lower percents and up air at higher. If you have thoron, tomahawk f/b throw > thoron is a combo that will catch people sometimes if they don't mash jump.
@@slendeaway7730 At high percents if you angle it right it can launch the enemy off stage. and you can fast fall while in free fall. If there are platforms you can easily recover from that free fall. Its not perfect but its an option. A rather situational one, but something I feel bears pointing out. Your options are far more reliable. I was just pointing out that standing directly under certain characters can lead to death or a loss of advantage. Especially if you save your double jump to bait out their attack. Elwind has a weird hit box and parts of it are much stronger than others.

Maneuver around the projectile and land in front of him: this allows you to be hit with an up tilt instead of an up smash 2. Let the up smash hit you: now you’re back in the air and you can try again next time 3. Air dodge through it: you will be dash attacked. Now you will be offstage instead of above it, making you less vulnerable to up smash. 4. Drift into a grenade instead: this does less damage than option 2 and gets the same result. And last but not least 5. Die: he can’t hurt you anymore. You’re safe now.

Obviously you just use Kamikazee. The invincibility frames really help you land when you're SDing

Another tech is if you're in a 50/50 take the damage if you can survive the hit or trade if you're stock ahead.

Is there a how to recover properly at the ledge video?
This was helpful. I had been using Robin's elwind to keep from getting juggled. So this info can make for some nice mix ups.
