Not all Honda dealers function with the same level of high integrity. I needed a torn lower ball joint dust boot replaced on my Element. The dealer quoted around $930 to replace the entire steering knuckle. I declined. I took the Element to another Honda dealer who simply replaced the boot. Cost was $110. Since then I have learned to replace torn dust boots myself. The B1 service is worth the price if done as depicted by Parkway Honda for those owners who do not, or cannot, do their own work. Peace of mind comes from a job well done.
We're sorry to hear you didn't have a great experience with your local Honda dealers, Finley! We certainly take a lot of pride in doing a job well done. The safety of our customers on the road is so important to us.
so true, i normally decline b service, just get the oil change. they charge extra for these so call inspection meanwhile the car is still under warranty
Hi there! B service typically includes: • Replace oil and filter • Service front and rear brakes • Check parking brake adjustment • Inspect tie rod ends, steering gear box and boots. • Inspect driveshaft boots • Inspect brake hoses and lines (including ABS) • Check all fluid levels and condition of fluids • Inspect Exhaust System • Inspect Fuel lines and connections Sub-Item 2: • Replace air cleaner element • Replace dust and pollen filter • Inspect and adjust drive bell. For more information feel free to get in touch with our service department!
Idk if you still care since it’s been 3 years since you commented this, but this is not mandatory in the slightest. The only important thing here would be the oil change and a quick overlook of the vehicle’s condition as well as topping off fluids. A service like that should be done every 3,000-5,000 miles, depending on the vehicle. Basically, they’ll check out everything on the car when you bring it in for an oil change.
IT IS, BRAKE PADS DON'T NEED TO BE CLEAN, I BET YOU JUST DO IT IN THIS CAR FOR THE VIDEO BUT WHEN YOU TAKE YOUR VEHICLE THEY ONLY DO VISUAL ISPECTION AND CHARGE A FORTUNE
@@te69penenemy neighbor took her HR-V in for a simple oil change and when they got done fleecing her she left with a $360 bill. But she was happy that she got her car washed.
