There are many diverse definitions of what it means to be Two-Spirit. For some Indigenous Peoples, Two-Spirit means having both a masculine & feminine spirit and to others it means existing outside the colonial binary. Across definitions what is most consistent is that Two-Spirit is an umbrella term that describes sexuality, gender, and/or spiritual identity specific & unique communities and Nations.
