The way you use language can be very detrimental. It didn't completely ruin your life, it partially ruined a particular part of your life. Words like "never" can become a self-fulfilling prophecy. Read, listen to Shad Helmsetter's "what to say to yourself when you talk to yourself". As for healing, Havening and EFT (Tapping, or a variant called FasterEFT) will cure it in usually one session. As in totally remove the painful memories. Loads of info on them on RUclips. You will have complete healing using those. Also, get full flush Niacin, a 'b' complex, magnesium and start getting out, work-out.

@freedomfirst5557 Of course, mate. The problem has always been internal. Even eating fruits or drinking water, in excess, can kill you.
That being said, this is quite clearly more on the negative side, than it is to positively benefit you in terms of survival

@freedomfirst5557the problem is porn! NO amount of porn consumption is okay. It’s all toxic! If you think a little bit of Erectile dysfunction and violence again women and children is okay, you need to look into the symptoms of porn use and addiction!

@@jeanettedini7259you're totally correct but access wasn't as easy. My problem was many of my friends' parents had magazines and movies. My parents didn't, and whenever I'd get a magazine home and my mom would find it, she'd throw it out. I really thought my parents weren't the normal ones, and that they were too strict and being prudes. If I only knew....

The fact that this woman's teen boyfriend was acting out his addiction with her shows you the potential effect of teens being attached to pornography. Parents must be the first teachers of their children; they must guard their child's access to the internet and not just hand them a smartphone and trust that all will be well. This woman's story is a picture of what the consequences will be like.

In this video: "How Porn Destroyed Sex (and Narcissism, of course) (ENGLISH responses)"
Sam Vaknin explains World journalists say that feminism has caused women to not need men, that they are independent women etc
... but Sam Vaknin explains that from a psychological point of view it is exactly the opposite: "Thanks to porn, men feel that they don't need a woman, because the man's brain is more focused on the visual a woman's site, and porn websites provide him with it for free, they also provide him with various fantasies in the form of stories, then a man does not want a partner for life... it is said that this leads to very big problems in society, the disruption of society....... ..... women are more focused on verbal contact with a man or with a partner than visual, so the male brain is convinced that the porn content is better..... that's why he feels that he doesn't need a woman, because the human brain doesn't know the difference between fantasy and reality, so the brain gives him the signal "I don't need a woman, 2D movies are better"... or he is overwhelmed by that culture. But women need men in every way to have offspring, to have someone to talk to, because women like verbal contact, etc. This is another phenomenon that, according to him, is not talked about at all. ......but journalists convince the world that women do not want men, that they are independent, etc. even if psychology says otherwise. In addition, porn reduces the ability to feel intimacy and love for a partner. that the number of people who meet in a cafe for a romantic dinner has decreased, because they are not able to feel intimacy with the other sex or a normal form of love, because porn has changed it in our culture. women are said to feel that in order to attract a man, they must dress provocatively and sexy, so that they can compete with these artificial films in porn, because men do not rave about the normal appearance of women in a decent dress as women probably are convinced...So people should do the opposite and not watch it and rather go for a walk with their partner, or find a good therapist who will teach them real love intiamcy connection etc.

I think it's necessary to talk about love and relationship to children at least since Elementary School. Here in Italy, we're starting talking about it, but just since the 3.rd year of Middle School (equivalent to Grade 8 for the USA), but it's not enough to contrast negative imprintings children could have had from either excessively tabooistic and restrictive or excessively relaxed and permissive approaches which respectively hampers the discussion, or lead to the use of p*rnography; or even worse, as it's the case of this video, a terrible intersection of these two approaches, with no presence of the healthy middle ground at all.
We should strive for a more balanced approach to the question: considering we've had literate, composers, film makers having used rivers of ink to talk about love and relationships, we have all the materials we need to start a discussion even with kids as young as Grade 1.

I can super relate to this one. Having parents in the home, but still being emotionally neglected and everyone just pretending that everything is fine. And then getting into manipulative relationships where I'm controlled and taken advantage of because I didn't have any guidance or sense of purpose.

I hate even writing this, because it'll make me sound like an absolute idiot....but maybe someone in the comments might be able to throw me some free advice. At this point, I'm willing to try anything. I find myself stuck in the absolute worst form of Limerence anyone could ever imagine. I've been alone for a while (kids are grown and gone).....several years ago (as lonely men occasionally do)....I looked at some "adult pictures online".....I started viewing photos of one particular girl. A stunning woman named "Suzie Diamond". Almost immediately she became my favorite adult star. I would watch her any time I could. I was never a really big "porn-watching" type of guy.....until I saw this girl.
Years have past and my obsession with her grew and grew. I didn't think much about it at first, she was just a hot girl in dirty pictures from the internet. Now, she's all I can think about.....I can't get away from her. I can't make my brain shut off thinking about her.
I know what you're going to say...."just stop looking at pictures of her on your phone...just STOP".....but that's the whole point....I can't. I have a fixation on her now.....I know everything possible there is to know about her. Thank God she lives in Slovakia, or else I'd probably have a tent set up at the foot of her driveway, where I would camp out every night waiting for a chance to even see her.
I've allowed myself to fall into the worst type of Limerence situation possible......I'm romantically obsessed with a woman I've never even met. How's that for pathetic?? I've tried dating "real" women, of course....but it's difficult because I work midnights and don't exactly "stand-out" on those dating apps. I'm just a working class guy with average looks. Those apps are like 1,000 guys to every one girl.....it's impossible. LOL
Please help....any advice would be greatly appreciated. .

I can’t pretend to know. But there has to be basic addiction groups you can join. You probably don’t have to go into details in these groups. Watching videos/pictures are like a carbon copy of real life. It doesn’t fulfill. Like I say, I’m no expert. But don’t let the virtual world interrupt your real world. And yes we all get somewhat infatuated by another. All it takes is the brain processing physical looks. But fight letting you letting life go by without experiencing it. Prayers buddy!

@@davidlemaster2034 therapy has been written about often as ineffective. I think it is in certain situations. However addiction groups don’t always discuss the specifics of their addiction. And you’re around other people who are struggling. I would say be cautious about “therapists”. It has been my experience they are more concerned with their billable rates.
