  • Robert’s porn consumption escalated into an addiction while he was in the military. In this episode, Robert shares how the culture of pornography in the military had a profound impact on his consumption habits. He also talks about how pornography affected his relationships and personal well-being. I think the reason why it is so difficult to stop is because it simulates bonding and ''love'' even if it isn't there. It is a trick, a scam. But it's easier to go there rather than to feel the pain of whatever it may be and/or because of the sheer novelty of it. For me being neglect and verbal abuse. I see now that the mother wound is perhaps the most dangerous thing to have as a man as it destroys self respect but also loses what could've been a healthy bond and wholeness. It feels like I am fighting an upwards battle with rocks falling down on me at times. I've lost my soul with my addiction.

From personal experience: It is difficult to quit Pmo, I have managed to quit alcohol, smoking, drinking excessive caffeine, but PMO took the longest time (started in 2006, but started to really bother me in 2014). Fought against it for a decade, even joined some weird Discord servers, where you really see, what Corn does to people. What helped me is to keep myself busy (work, walking a lot, push ups etc.) and also deleted all Corn associated accounts. What creeped me out the most and woke me up were the Discord servers.

I don't normally comment on these things. But that was a very ❤ felt disclosure!! Discovered last year that my military husband has been addicted to internet porn for well over a decade. This channel has got me through the last year. Robert, hang in there.
