Just as a sidenote: Heat management in regards to retaining the heat of the hot parts like exhaust, exhaust housing and the headers lets the gas flow with higher temperatures faster. Also if you didn't already know, does a higher compresion ratio decrease the temprature. And dude, love your energy and videos. Hope all goes well.
@@LtdJorge so how do you think liquid hydrogen is created? You pressurize the hydrogen (gas). Compressing would mean the molecuels would have to move less and come closer together. Following the molecuels have to convert their kinetic energy into thermal energy. Thus is it possible to cool hydrogen with around 700bar (I believe) down to its liquid state. If I'm not wrong, is a air/fuel mixture (gas) getting compressed in the engine--> colder temprature. And the exhaust temprature thing...I took it from my knowledge about two strokes. The hotter the gas, the faster resonace wave, the more rpm, the more power. My thougt was, to make the turbo more responsive or efficient, because at higher exhaust gas temprature the gas would flow faster at lower rpm. Peace
@@RichardBernetto yes, but actually no. More pressure, more heat. However, you are right in that you need to make heat to cool the gas, but it works exactly as an AC unit, with thermal exchange. Just by virtu of compressing, you are going to get a hotter gas, because the now closer molecules generate a lot more friction.

You are such an inspiration to me. If I had to choose a mentor in the car world it would be you! You inspired me to get into rotaries, and at 17 years old I already have worked for and bought for myself an rx8 and an FB rx7 with a 13b rx5 engine being built. You have shown me so much and I can’t even describe how amazing it would be to just work on a car for a day with you let alone meet you! Had so much fun following this and the corvette! Keep up the inspiring work!
Rob I just gotta say, i've been watching your channel for a very long time, even such the first time you debuted your RX-7 at SEMA. It is really awesome to see how much progress you have been making these past months lately compared to the last SEMA debut. All the work before has been chassis and other things, now your finally able to get the organs in and its amazing! I cant wait until you get the body of the car done to seal the deal! You totally are an inspiration for my future goals in life, i want to own my own custom shop for cars, whether its a wide body install, a custom bumper or a full custom car, and build a trophy truck to race the baja 10000. Good luck in the next few weeks. I was hooked watching the rotary being put together and fired up, but watching the car coming together will be spectacular! 👊👍
Rob, I'm not sure if it's been said already or not but I'm going to say it anyway. I for one really like how you've been using the Go-pro strapped to your chest. It really does help us see what you are doing with your hands and lets us see what you see. Nice! I find myself barely able to hold in my excitement for this project AND I'm not even involved in it. You've got the guts and determination to make this whole project come to life (in a good way).

Best of luck! Not that my build was as difficult as yours, but I spent two weeks straight staying up. Till 3am and still going to work at 8am to get my fresh drivetrain finished and get to a show, so you can do it!!
I stumbled on this car at Sema 16, had no idea who you were at the time other than hearing about the UPS 4 rotor incident. I remember thinking this was such a sick, over the top project. Videos don't do it justice compared to seeing it in person. Also just realized you were in the few pics I took of the car, talking to some people about it. Nice to kind of meet you I guess.
I really appreciate the level of coordination, planning, and commitment to the car. A true professional in doing what you love. I will always admire the dedication and sacrifices you have shown. #letitsing
Glad your intercooler is still in one piece. UPS used to be pretty good (at least around here), but they've really taken a dive in reliability in the last 10 years or so, to the point where I'd rather wait a few extra days for USPS, or pay extra for FedEx. That being said, I like your logic for customizing the front framework for your coolers, etc. You might still need to eventually add extra radiators further back, depending on how hot that thing runs. You'll be cooling a lot of engine there, especially when you get it up on boost. Straight methanol may be a solution in the meantime, if you can find a big enough fuel tank!😁👍
Take a look at those top arms again.. you set them up opposing how they are supposed to be, they need to be a few degrees tilted down towards the rear to create anti dive. They way you have them set up will produce to much front end dive on braking and will make it really twitchy
Rob just dropping hearts like crazy probably because when next month come, if someone ask “ hey rob where’s the 4 rotor” his response gonna be “its right over there running like a beast”
Rob - Remember to flush out the coolant from tapping you did. Glad your not installing the oil cooler upside down - that would be a no no. Intercooler hoses will need a bead at the end to hold the seal and keep pressure - btw do you have leak tester? Good Job and keep up the good work. RIP BabyRat
