I think this video proves that Ink is most definitely not an idiot. He did only the things he wanted and nothing more. He may not be trainable, but that is a very different thing.
Maybe consider that Ink has no way to bail from a risky move with any of the holds up high. Pretty sure if you built something pyramid-style with lots of places to climb up and down, he'd be a lot more chill about it. (And you'd maybe get less annoyed side-eye and swishy tail, hahaha.)
I noticed you give Ink more treats when he's on the ground and fewer treats when you're trying to lure him. Reversing that dopamine distribution might train Ink that climbing is better than the ground.
Was going to say this. Doesn't matter the animal, you want to reward them when they are doing what you want. Give lots of treats and love when he's on the first one, let him associate being up there with lots of rewards.
I was not expecting a third Ink video! So excited to see it! I don't think I commented on the other two videos, but I thought it would help convince you to make more cat bouldering videos if I let you know that your first one was the CATalyst that convinced me to push my husband and I to try bouldering! 🐈⬛Getting Ink to try harder will probably take some animal training skills and some stepping back from "hard" boulders for him with other activities or easier boulders that build Ink's confidence (just like you would with your students). Absolutely purchasing some Ink merch! I certainly need more cat/climbing clothes. Thank you, Louis!
WHAT DO YOU MEAN THIS IS THE FINAL INSTALMENT Edit to add: No matter how excellent the usual climbing videos, I will always prefer Ink content... doesn't even have to be him climbing, I would happily watch a video about his daily activities Edit to add to add: Ink is such a baby and I love him
Absolutely adorable, like the previous Ink videos, but it's also pretty obvious to me how much effort it takes to get a cat up a boulder. Honestly, I'm impressed how compliant Ink seems to be (with regards to stuff like 0:08, but even just generally being in a climbing gym with lots of people, being held, ...), I'm pretty sure none of the cats I've known would have done nearly as well as he did. And if you do end up needing to make another cat video: I would be totally ok with an off-topic discussion of how you trained him, logistics of a cat in a climbing gym/public, etc. :)
That cat sure puts up with a lot of being picked up and put down. What a good sport you are Ink. My cats would walk out after taking a few swipes at you. 😁
I want a personal Louis coaching where he holds me like 10:47 when I cant do the boulder. ... Dont tell him, but I am using Louis to get to meet the true star, Ink!
Ah, excuse me, I'll hear none of this nonsense about this being the last video with your star athlete! I am liking, commenting, and sharing this to help it get to 1mill.
Ink is absolutely adorable... and quite docile? My cat would have fought me tooth and nail not to be set upon those boulders. She would probably have run a lot further than back to bed as well.
Bengal cats are super athletic & LOVE climbing. He’s a wonderful handsome FLOOFY boy. ❤ Possibly it’s just not his thing & maybe finding a bengal cat for the next video.❤😊
I'd absolutely love to work with Ink on this, I bet he could do it with a bit of feline coaching 😄 He seems like such a chill cat, not stressed in the gym, able to relax and interested in food, so he has everything it takes. Training cats just requires a different mindset from training humans or dogs. In general they need more time to think things through and make up their own minds to act, and the more energy you pour in by cheering them, the more passive they become 😆 If you can make it a game and let them believe they're pulling all the strings, you can get them to offer all sorts of behaviours.
ruclips.net/video/B8aGsBfipk4/видео.htmlsi=HdEQS0B3v2M02Ms4 Not sure if this will accept links, but here's an old example video of what a cat can learn in just a week. They're not nearly as impossible to train as their reputation claims 😄
@@cyborgraptor1778 Kaiser is very well trained for sure 😊 Almost all cats could do the climbs if they wanted to, they're pretty much born with the needed skills, but getting them to do what we want is the challenge 😄
you really had the right idea I think with the cat house placing it up. Had you placed a big volume there where his house could be, I think it might have worked.
Louis, you and Magnus are my two favorite climbing personalities on youtube. With this comment I want to politely request for the possibility of a colab between you two
How about using one of those laser dot pointer pens - that would work if he's already into chasing the laser dot around! Anyways, love Inky's little personality!!
I think you need to just take Ink to this gym here more often, and play with him in anyway he wants so that he gets used to it, and finds it rewarding to be there. It seems he's a bit weirded out being there in an unfamiliar place.
Never thought I'd see a non clickbait cat boulder. Although, I think you got the wrong type of cat for this. You need a hyperactive type of cat. Your cat seems to be the snoozy type. Very cute though.
It feels like Ink is the worst cat to try this with! He seems like such a pillow cat, happy to be carried and handled and not intrested in doing any exercise at all.
I strongly disagree - he's also an insanely obedient cat, and spent much more time trying the climb than you'd convince most cats to do. I personally know at least four cats that would act much more energetic, but they'd all scratch your face off around the fourth time you tried to put them back on the boulder. At least to me, e.g. 11:10 doesn't read like a cat that's "not interested in doing any exercise", it's a cat that's had enough and wants to be left alone
When the treat is right in front of the jumping space, he won't make the jump because he's scared of hitting the hand/tube. Maybe try leaving enough room for him to jump beside your arm so that he could feel more confident! Otherwise, he'll just stretch his face to reach the tube
i think maybe an even better way to motivate ink to go to each move is by using a laser pointer. my cat can run a 9 second 100 meter dash if theres a red dot right in front of him
Want to borrow my cat? He will just wonder away in the gym and then 5 minutes late you will be like how the hell did you get up there. Then you will have to save him.
It's cute how there's no discernable difference between how Louis talks to Inky about his climbing and how he talks to humans he's coaching
😂😂😂
Ah yes, his classic "You like the tuna??" speech of confidence that he gives all his coachees
i love the way ink looks up the climb at 12:54 "Dang why did I slip there"
Completly ignoring the treat right in front of him.
you single-handedly affected the "Most Replayed" part of the video 🤣
My cat just spent the entire video trying to get into the tv to get to Ink! 😂
That cat is literally me
Carpet from the start was a must - the slips dented his confidence and desire to try again. Ink is such a tolerant boy 😻
"Free solo'd el cap without a chalk bag" is one hell of a flex 😂
time to just leave this video on a loop for the rest of the year.

Some cats swish their tail when they're very engaged
@@mobius273true but ink looks pretty upset and unengaged lol
definitely depends on the individual cat in this case, some cats will scale trees in like 3 seconds and some cats dont want to do anything lol
@@whatTFisThis i think he was at the beginning but then he became more overwhelmed
What? It's a cat, it can get down at any point
his boulder for his cat costs more than my home spray wall 😭
I truly admire Ink's determination and tenacity (at not giving a flying F about climbing). Does look pretty majestic on the preferred perch though!

Does catnip spray count as a PED (Pawformance Enhancing Drug)? If so, the IFSC want to have a word about all those gold medals...
I think the trick would be a laser, mine climb like crazy up my curtains when I turn the laser on haha

Was actually having a bit of a tough day today mentally but seeing ink's progress has brightened it up a bit, thank you for posting him
12:53 acting like a proper world cup climber looking back immediately at the place he fell
Ink is an inspiration to us all tbh
I feel as if I'm watching the birth of a new sport.

Inky gold medalist in the next cat bouldering Olympics. Calling it now.
better title man runs after his cat for 20 minits
I'm watching some bloke getting his cat to boulder, what am I doing with my life
clearly you are doing the right thing 😂
😂😂😂😂😂😅😅😅

This has to be one of the BEST climbing videos that I’ve ever watched! 😂😂😂
Clearly what Ink has been doing the last few months is growing into an absolute floofmeister.
Ink is absolutely adorable... and quite docile? My cat would have fought me tooth and nail not to be set upon those boulders. She would probably have run a lot further than back to bed as well.
The truth is out: Louis is in great shape, not from climbing, but from chasing Ink. 😂❤
This video is just the cutest thing everrrr
Ink is one of the fluffiest cats ever! So cute, good job on trying a bit of the climb 😻
FINALLY INK’S BACK LETS GOOOOO!!!!!

Semi Annual cat videos are gold!
The slips at the start might be due to inks paw pad hair being overgrown - a trim might give him even more climbing power!
As a boulderer and host to two cats, I really like and appreciate your cat content! 🥰 (regarding cats I prefer the word "host" over "owner" 😅)
you really had the right idea I think with the cat house placing it up. Had you placed a big volume there where his house could be, I think it might have worked.
lol I subscribed to you last time I saw you do cat stuff and somehow this is the only video the algorithm has shown me since then
Greatest trilogy ever!!!
It's crazy how people photoshopped their faces over Ink's to make it seem like they achieved all those things; as if a hooman could do all that, lol.
can't believe how successful ink has become, we are so grateful for being able to witness his skills 😩
I'm literally _only_ here for the cat. Could not care less about the rest of the channel lmao
I’m rooting for you Ink! And so is my cat Yoda!

the real winners are us, cuz we got another wholesome cat video
btw Ink looks so majestic chillin up there, he's beautiful
is a one arm pull up 4 times as hard as a normal pullup for ink?
Churu is called cat crack at our house. Your cat is uber chill. Mine would have smacked you lol.
Ink is me when someone tries to make me exercise
The cat, i click !
How can I get Louis to follow me around and reset all the boulders for me to fit my body size? 😂
I don't Like or Comment often, but these are the kind of videos that genuinely make my day better 😊
Lets goooo inks back!
ink is such a hard worker
These are literally my very favorite of all your videos 😻
best climbing video i've watched, totally not because of Ink
cant wait for the next cat video!
omg i literally gasped when he slipped off. how invested can you be in a little cat =p

Just ordered my shirt, can't wait for my cat powers!!!
Leta go Ink!!!!!
absolutely devastated that i didn't find out about this until after they're not available anymore
I’m literally only here for ink. I will return when ink returns.
Aww I love the ink content and the merch
Ink is adorable

I needed this video, thank you so much! ❤
I so desperately want an Ink shirt! If only I had known!
19:38 Ink's face when you said you'd starve him for a week.
My name is Ink, this makes me happy 😂😊
Commenting for the algorithm so this video can get over a million views.
Love these videos. Commenting for the 1 mill. push
Awww but hes so cute we wanna see him againnn ;________;
Omg "Inkdust" I would buy that 😂
I guess I'll have to watch this video a million times, huh? :D

Aww ink became even fluffier and cuter ^^
And a bit of a chonker - probably your climbing training ^^
"We have a reel to show you guys"
My dumb ass thought it was an actuall reel🤣🤣🤬💀
Want to borrow my cat? He will just wonder away in the gym and then 5 minutes late you will be like how the hell did you get up there. Then you will have to save him.
CATalyst climbing
It’s a pretty difficult project, so it’s understandable he needs to return next season to continue working the problem.
Loved the montage 😂😂
good effort all around
Lol if you do the clicker training for ink you'll have him doing dynos in no time! My cat loves ink!
Gordon Ramsey: Finally, some good hecking climbing
Non-climbing related question: which toy is the electric one Ink loves? I think Phoenix would be all about it
HES BACK!
(back again)
Where can I get Inks fav toy? My boy would go crazy for it
Anyone else making involuntary cat summoning noises?
