@@LochyP Fidna originates from AAVE and as a morphed contraction of "fixing to." The approximate evolutionary chain would look something like this: Fixing to →Fixin' ta →Fi'n'ta →Fitna →Fidna.
It basically mean either "I (figuratively) itching with desire to do X," or "I'm going to do this because I really want to."

I deliberately made sure to pick a dwarven civ with 6k+ pop and set up my place right next to them and still I didn't get immigrants for several seasons. So I had to kit them out too. Well, I was cheering my little dudes along until the nobility started rolling in. And, my top dude, my head of state and of church started getting a little reachy. A crafts dwarf was accused of order of production violation against the head. No punishment. But my first death at a hundred pop was an open murder of a dwarf in the tavern. No one spoke rumors about that execution in the tavern below the church. The Roc was easily dealt with the well militarized squads, but the church's military leader was hurt.
