My country Philippines does not allow rhd cars. But guess what, Filipinos actually used to drive rhd cars before, and they drive on the left side of the road. But in 1945, that changed, as all motor vehicles would now become lhd, and start driving on the right side of the road. They did this to take advantage of lower price vehicles imported from America.

Im from the philippines, and it's true that filipinos like me used to drive with right hand drive cars before ww2, and now we switched to left hand drive. However, rhd cars are now illegal because of RA 8506. If the philippines switched back driving on the left just like what happened to Samoa, we could easily import cars from japan since most of the cars are from japan. The philippines would have save tons of money and time since japan is close to the philippines. Plus if they drove on the left it is a sign of independence because america and china all drive on the right. And they are the same as malaysia, indonesia and singapore. The philippines should have done switched back to the left in the Late 70's or Early 80's. Now this switch would devastate everyone, unless everyone is cool driving on the left with LHD in the meantime. I hope in the future. The filipinos would enjoy driving on the left A.S.A.P. That would beneficial and better for the filipinos. Mabuhay!

I did not screw it up at the first time. I bought a uk spec e39 in 2014 and drove it 300 miles home without any problems. It was not tha hard...well its no japanese car, the wiper switch is not on the opposite site and yes its an automatic but the basic driving is not that hard. I own it for more tha 5 years now and i drive it every day...i've had some delicate situations but i never crashed or nearly crashed it so i think driving a RHD in right hand traffic is not that hard...people always don't want to believe that it is actually pretty easy, but only few people who tell me tha driving my car must kind of suck, know what they're acutally talking about lol. I enjoy my car every day and i will keep it as long as i live...at least i hope so...

Its no different than someone getting onto a motorcycle for the 1st time and saying everyone will stall out on 1st gear or drop it right there.. That is also 100% WRONG ..
And people CAN look to the far left or far right without moving the steering wheel and shifting the car into the other lane on accident ..
    Not everyone is incompetent ...
