Can't tell you that but according to Blizzard, PvP players will receive additional conquest instead reducing the RNG in PvP gearing.

thorghast was meant as a roque feature content (and i love this type of features or games). I spent most of my shadowlands time in thorgast getting mounts or transmog.
But they made it a ''chore''ghast (players nicknamed it like this). You needed soul ash for making your ledgendary and you could only get it by doing layers of choreghast on your item livel. it became really annoying for pvp players or raiders. Why would a pvp'er ever want to do pve type of gamemode? Iedgendary's were really expensive to make and soul ash had a weekly cap and you really needed it for player power. If you missed a week of grinding soul ash it meant you couldnt get the ledgendary. they were so OP if you didnt had the ledgendary you werent even considered for pvp or raiding.
Ledgendaries were so overpowered even i tried pvp for a while and got the pvp ledgendary for the mage. The ledgendary gave me 3 shield(frost, arcane and fire) at the same time. I was a tank with massive damage. So everyone abused their overpowered playerpower and skill didnt matter anymore. If they kept thorghast optional with non player-powered related rewards it would have been a succes.
That makes a lot of sense, thanks for the insight. I guess everything that's fun might become annoying if you're "forced" to do it. 😅
