I'm not going to fault you because It's actually really hard to find, But opera GX is Chinese spyware. If you follow the company rabbit trail, You're going to find a business based in Shanghai
@@Dabuddah actually not true, at least partially not true, opera was not developed in china or by chinese people, rather it was bought by chinese investors after it was already a product on the market. maybe it is now spyware or whatever, i still use it, have never encountered a problem since it was bought by china in 2016 or whatever year it was, but if someone is scared of china for some reason sure they could use other alternatives like vivaldi, or brave, but personally i think opera is fine and idc if china spies on me because all theyre gonna see is me watchin videos laughing at their government
actually, opera ist just another chromium brother, so you can be sure, the actual non castrated version of chrome is much more efficient, fast and safer
I prefer Firefox 😁
Only 17 times? Is this gonna be a 20 part series?
Yeah, I was surprised at only 17 times. haha
Lol was going to make the same comment.

So close and yet so far
Three more instances of unfinished storylines:
- Yrel and her Lightbound coming to Azeroth
- Gallywix and his dealings with Cartel Xy in Tazavesh (which I can definitely see being continued once we get to experience Undermine as a zone)
- Xal'atath and the void ethereals (likely being continued sooner than later)
Yrel and her Lightbound weren't heading for Azeroth as far as I know
@@NoConsequenc3 Not yet, but Danuser told us in an interview a while back that we will see her and her Lightbound again
Yeaaaa Yrel is unhinged! Basically a space nazi
Was expecting this to get a mention it seemed like a legit set up for some future story line with fanatic light users but then just got dropped, I mean It would have played well after seeing the Naru try to force the light upon Illidan and all or after Anduin got turned in Shadowlands, have him find them and go to far the other direction into the light cult just something.
Also no mention of the Massive sword in Silithus?
I really liked the Drust in BfA, I hope they do something big with them in the future
Same
Yeah awesome aesthetic!
Loved but hated them. That fuckin' slam they do, that puts a spike in the ground with their like.. Black misty look AoE. Sucked ass, overwise, dope ass NPCs/enemies
They're lowkey ass and boring and very niche. Army of vrykul thrown beaten by Kultiran settlers who refuged into the dream fused with the power of (void/nightmare/death)? that don't have any of the specific identifying factors or looks of each one of the powers they are associated with who were re-invoked into the world by a grieving matron to be promptly defeated and ended up in the realms of death by reverse traveling the dream with the intention of affecting the cycle of life and death.
It's so outlandish and dumb and non-sensical even the Jailer sounds more plausible at that point. They're just a bunch of death-vrykuls, beaten by kultirans at the time using sticks and rocks and they're trying so hard to sell them as an actual threat or an army. Worst part is everybody thinks they were just a 8.0 thing, but they continued through the entirety of the 8.1 campaign as well, which everybody seems to forget. They lasted a long time (for no reason too) and really shouldn't have been an enemy at all past bfa, they're ridiculous and so is their lore and looks.
@@braules The Drust are based on the 'Detritivore' (great Wikipedia article on this) role in ecosystem, or simply put, the bottom feeders. They're not dead, but they consume everything that is dead and decaying. They're worms and fungi that consume decomposing matter in a way that turns it into live-giving soil for nature to grow upon. They hold a niche in WoW that wasn't being filled up to that point. WoW always dealt with something either being living, sick, corrupted or dead. They're a great addition that completes WoW's metaphysical ecosystem.
Can't believe they didn't continue the story line when my party took down King Gordok and became king of the Dire Maul ogres. Nothing, not a sausage. At least I got the healers pants.
It would be funny if you became king, a repeatable quest would show up outside dire maul every month where waves of Ogres show up pissed at you and try to take back the crown because their kingdom is falling apart without leadership.
It felt like they killed Taylor because Nazgrim(his counterpart in cata and mop) had died in Orgrimmar.
And then they brought Nazgrim back and Taylor is still stuck as Garrison follower in draenor :P
Id like them to build a story off the Botani that escaped into our timeline. Them planting a new Sporemound into Azeroth and an expansion based around the more twisted side of Life could be interesting.
When the Mag'har arrived, there were Botani that escaped to the Northern Barrens, so we could get lucky there, or the Botani that did arrive outside of Stormwind could have carried seeds and they're germinating now. The Northern Barrens one is the more likely though.
Botani, lightforged... A lot of thiings interesting lost because player hate wod
@@harmagedonFR Yet Bfa made good use of it to plant future storylines (which we have yet to see pay off). Honestly, I think it was a good move, trying to salvage something from the mistakes made.
Another story left unvisited is what happens with Alterac, long-term. After WC2 Isiden Perenolde was being supported by Genn Greymane to take the throne of Alterac, after he fled to Gilneas for safety. And then he's just been totally forgotten about.
He probably is the 'baron perenolde' in custom battles of wc3
At the very least I want to see who in Alterac is making all this cheese.
@@karlfranz9373 The problem with that is that he went to Gilneas, and by WC3 the wall had already been put up to cut off Gilneas from the rest of Lordaeron.
@@HomicideJack187 It's also likely that he lives in the northern regions of Gilneas, which of course, became the southern part of silverpine forrest..
@@karlfranz9373 That's a good point. Still, it'd be nice to see something happen with Alterac when we revisit the Eastern Kingdoms.
Bellular: 17 things blizz forgot about.
Me: they forgot how to write a compelling story…
and they shouldnt because this is a game not a movie.
Here is a good one! There is an ancient highborne that you free in Ferlas. Sensiria is her name and afterwards she turns into a succubus (boss) npc and says she will return one day. Probably the most forgotten npc of all time, considering many players didnt do the zone and I actually think only horde players can do the quest.
Wow a succubus, how dangerous
Bro you’d say “Yes m’lady” the second a succubus would make eye contact with you, don’t even
@@Hi-fd4cw True, also alot of the npc's near her did too considering she consumed all their souls
I would like to learn more of Merithra. You know, the new leader of the green dragonflight.
Did you know that she spent around 1'000 years stuck in Ahn'Qiraj in very close proximity of an old god. Of the two other dragons that shared her fate, one sacrificed himself in the battle against Sinestra while the other betrayed his flight and aided Deathwing and the Infinites (indirectly serving the void).
You want to tell me the 1000 years with an old god did not leave any marks on Merithra?
I want to see what happens with that belf kid attacked by the bronze dragons in the Children's Week at the Caverns of time. She's now an adult and returned to the story again at the end of Shadowlands for the belf heritage armor, I think. I have the theory that 10.3 is going to be about void+bronze/infinite dragonflights stuff and a lot of paladins are going to come to the dragon isles (like the guy we meet in the Tyr Quest) to fight the void. At that moment maybe she fails to do something really important and kills by mistake an important bronze dragon?
You have to keep in mind that the end of legion (argus) was not planned as a part of legion itself and just got stitched into the legion experience when they brought 85% of the diablo team over to crunch on WoW after the fiasco that we remember by the dreaded name "WoD".
A lot that followed made no sense and had to be dropped to ensure that the game can continue moving forward
A prime example is what people brought up time and time again during BFA's pre patch events. The alliance has access to draenei technology, the army of the light with a f-ing spaceship, independence day lasers and exo suit armour capable of mowing down legions of demons... so how was the horde ever able to do ... anything. All of this had to be "forgotten" or nothing during the entirety of BFA nor shadowland's launch would have been possible
I would of added a side quest or added a chapter to the "A Good War" short story explaining how an infiltration team sabotaged the space ship and preventing it from being repaired quickly.
It wouldn't have been that hard to do.
The tauren Heritage questline is the thing that alerted us that the Shadowlands have been opened, so in a way, the tauren spiritwalkers played a pretty big part pre-expantion
Not sure why you’re doing all these Lore video’s recently, but I absolutely love them! Keep ‘em coming!!!
To what you said about Christopher Judge being hired for a one and done dungeon thing. Thats what they did with Martin Sheen as the voice of Nozdormu.
Okay but like, I'm having a hard time giving a shit as long as Shadowlands is still canon. I wish they'd forget about more storylines at this point... in fact let's just forget all of Shadowlands. Let's awaken from the bad dream, free of the Jailer's memory.
Speaking of Christopher Judge and voice actors from SG-1, who else feels like Khadgar wouldn't be Khadgar without having Bra'tac's voice? Thank you Tony Amendola.
Every time I hear Knowledge is Power, I can see Master Bra'tac saying it after telling Jack he has over 100 years of experience in combat. Not bad for a man of 133.
We love you Bellular, keep up the great work.
Blud spreads so much misinformation wot?
@@preds43 dont care, liked and subscribed
@@NoConsequenc3 😐 My golly...
That "unused" drust area was used for the ending of the Ardenweld campaign.
I love Draenor and honestly wouldnt mind discovering more of it. It's how you do a new world because it was immersive while Shadowlands was far too random and weird in the wrong way
A big difference was that the shadowlands were all seperate realms that people ported in and out of for dailies. Shadowlands would have felt so much bigger, like Draenor, if the realms were all connected.
Pray we never get Med'an in the game.
Isn’t in Wotlk times there was a huge speculation about Nerubian empire beneath the earth? We just adventure through dungeon, that’s just sad.
Blizzard have never exploited the potential, no reason to expect they will now. Fan theories are always better than what we end up with
While I would argue it's not absolute, "[unrealized potential is not valuable]" is once again useful here.
The majority of Blizzard's audience held their breath so long they passed out.
"This is all dropped content or-"
It's the new, modern, Danuser-lore Blizzard. It's dropped, forgotten content.
The plant people escaped into the Barrens at the end of the Mag'har Orc allied race campaign, I'm kinda expecting if we do get a revamped Azeroth that will include a Barrens that's been covered with plant life from the plant people.
I am feeling almost ashamed that I used to care so much for WoW lore when by now it's clear that Blizzard doesn't give a slightest f*ck about it, aside from what kind of fan beloved character they can pull into some kind of story twist to try dragging players back in, without any real long term consideration of where the story may go or has been so far.
After the Alexstraza Timeline thing that was cut, how they handled the changes in Shadowlands, I don't have much hope for the current writing team and lost a lot interest in the lore.
There is also Tyrus Blackhorn who we freed in Hyjal, Funny McBunny and the Bannit race from WC3, Unknown Worgen Pack from the Island Expeditions, Aramar Thorne from the Traveler Series & Dagran Thaurissan II growing up.
I hope Lothraxion is a triple agent... I just don't want him to be a badguy.
I love seeing how everything has unfolded and what’s to come
"Lothraxion has my trust." - High Exarch Turaylon, moments before his assassination at the hands of his High Commander.
Lots of Fans would prefer Blizzard to revisit unfinished Storylines instead of radical Cosmic Forces Storylines.
You know in Dungeons and Raids all those hallways/doors/ etc... that are shut off or closed. You could be like Naxx, extended, forgotten halls of , you could do so much and also time walking with them to show more lore and go back and filler in long long quests that tie things together. @BellularGaming
Aw no mention of the Sanlayn who are out there without a leader, assets that were datamined like a new banner and never ended up being used if im not mistaken. Their story kinda seemed like it was cut short, wouldnt be surprised if they were initially planned as Allied Race since forsaken didnt get one.
Since you've mentioned it in a couple of videos now, there are Earthen Ring members in Dragonflight, for example- in The Waking Shores. They're just side quests the campaign doesn't drive you to them.
I could see many of these storylines coming in the future. I almost wonder if some stories from Shadowlands were saved for future story. With how Dragonflight has been going, I feel they could lead us anywhere.
into the in-game shop, where one may one day purchase the right to play those story lines?
Lol, the Jailer using Opera GX, you made my day XD I think he would have ruled the world, with 'The One browser' to rule us all XD
Yes! Thank you for bringing up Primal Trolls! I've been asking everyone I can about them and haven't been able to get a straight answer. What do you think about them and how they can get worked into the game?
so many of these have such cool potential
The absolute lack of consistency or planning and the constant starting, stopping and dropping of story lines and plot points is such a big part of why I dropped this game even after 10 years of sunk playtime...
Also Sylvanas wanting to make more people into Forsaken is so counter to her original characterization and the characterization of the Forsaken at their inception... Becoming undead was a hellish existence for most people, undying, unfeeling, twisted and corrupted, even powerful undead who came out the otherside mostly in one piece like Sylvanas were shadows of their living selves, you literally had to have something broken inside you to want to be or to enjoy being undead (either going mad or just being power hungry like necromancers-). Wanting to turn more people into forsaken was supposed to be a major moral failing for Sylvanas, a fall from grace that went further than any of the dodgy stuff she'd done before (like her plans to drown Icecrown in super-plague before Varimathras and Putress fucked that up for her)...
Every single dead-end or fumbled storybeat is a rantworthy gaping maw of frustration for anyone even remotely invested in the story in its entirety... Unless you're willing to just sweep it all under the rug and take every retcon, rewrite and obvious case of profit & keeping the content train rolling taking precedent over narrative and just grin through it...
13:45 There is no way they were thinking up the SL plot that far back. Otherwise they would have handled it more competently. And the bar for that was already pretty low.
I love these kind of stories! So awesome ❤
R.I.P. old Sylvanas :(
I still fight that Blizzard should add in the cut content from past expansions especially since some would be tied ends. Like so much was cut from WoD that it would have been greater
i seem to remember during TBC prerelease that you could see Fel illidan footsteps in felwood. but i cant find anything about it online. does anyone else remember this?
10:31 drogbar are the primal trolls, we haven't yet found the connection, but it's right there!!
These stories are NOT forgotten just to be continued and some of them already have after your video.
4:00 Wasn't the final vial used to create the Reliquary of Souls, which was how Illidan was able to free demons from.. presumably fel addiction? I'm pretty sure I remember that being the case - at the very least it was heavily implied that it was the case, since the last vial was in Illidan's possession, and water from the well of eternity would very much be capable of accomplishing that, being infused with the blood of a titan, and thus as potent as Sargerite.
Can't wait to see what happened to Xal'atath, N'zoth who got sucked into the blade, Illidan and Sargeras with the titans, etc.
On the Christopher Judge thing, Stargate was, unexpectedly, his breakout role. And still, God of War is what MOST people know him from. I don't think this means as much as you may think.
De other side is my favorite dungeon in all of wow. Has my two favorite characters, Bwonsamdi and Milhouse, And a really fun boss fight in meuhzala.
Wow. A sponsor that actually convinced me to try the product.
Would be cool if denathrius becomes the leader of demons and sows chaos through his dreadlords
The one that i want blizz to finish is the storyline of Voljin becoming a Loa, there were hints in bfa that he would become the new Loa of Kings if i remember correctly
I hope they use this storyline in the Troll Heritage Armor questline since it would fit perfectly
Not having Earthen Ring in Dragonflight seems like a sad mistake.
They’ve had pretty well known voice actors handle pretty small roles in the past Casey Brown and Nolan North come to mind.
Maybe not as much street cred as Christopher Judge but still fairly well known actors.
Sometimes it’s just hey X actor is in the area or at lunch with another actor.
It’s a fun idea though.
honestly i love this! they could do so much more with WoD than they did. i mean it was the original orc homeworld! honestly blizz abandons stuff for time. i would have loved to see a lot of these plot lines finished even if it meant having the expansion last longer than normal in between expansions. give us more content for our $ or rush to get another expansion out. yea blizz!
for the longest time i thought the djaradin were the primal trolls they promised us, but apparently theyre not?
Uh, that last vial of well water was used in the black temple under the spirit head room, we were told that during the black harvest green fire quest.
I thought the last vial was used to creat the Reliquary of Souls boss in BT
I really hated how dirty they did Admiral Taylor in WoD. As Alliance I liked him, as Horde I respected him. He's been a constant part of our travels, and him just getting killed off-screen by some random necromancer and being turned into a bone monster...really pissed me off. And there was no payoff for it, either.
seeing neopets in the opregx Add braught back memories, who remembers playing it?
Additional points: Giant Sword in Silithus...and...the damn Gallywix cannon on Azshara never fired.
What about Vol'jin and the story of him becoming a new Loa....it's sorta refenced in Shadowlands Ardenweald quests and then vanishes
We may yet see the other continent if we revisit that Draenor because of a radical light army expansion.
Ion Hazzikostas - The worth thing to ever to happen in the world of warcraft. His stupid decisions - that is why quit WoW and will not return until he is gone.
I agree, in no other career could you be a total incompetent and loss multi millions of subs and still have a job. He caters to no livers and the top % players and people just keep leaving the game. Wow will never be nearly as great as it was with him at the helm .
It is not a real expansion without a troll raid or dungeon patch ! So my bet is on the trolls.
Not sure if anyone mentioned it, but when Maeiv lands on the broken isle, she actually calls them Suramar
Wasnt there a big story plot about the forsaken dying out in MOP? Worgen make humans immun to resurect and forsaken decaying physicly and mentaly. I always thought here goal was to find a way to save the forsaken. Sad that this was binned
Mmh.. what about the cultists in Darkshire also,so close to Stormwind.
Was they dealt with. Did the Darkshire militia those that was still loyal route the cultist out?
Could see the area resettled by Darkshire survivors,Night elves and Worgen Gilneans.
Can we just all agree that SL was utter shit and let us all collectively forget about it so Blizzard can move on and retcon the fuck out of it already?!
We never saw a conclusion to when Acherus raided Light's Hope Chapel did we? I mean...in the Death Knight order hall campaign, we just went over and eliminated Paladins, attempted to raise Tirion and some mean things were said on both sides but that seems to be it. Shouldn't the Paladins hate the Death Knights now?
Man I just realized how sad it is, that new players will never play through the class order halls in Legion, which honestly were peak content for me.
oh k i was i confused here as nozdormu is a proto drake ....in the raid ...but here when he turned he is his titan dragon form ...and we been told it was the old gods who made him go made .......so retcon is it
"We cannot procreate" exact quote from Silvanis in BFA... I was hoping her madness was in the service of the forsaken.
As a big fan of audiobooks I was really looking forward to Lothraxian doing cool stuff.
Also what's happening with Yrel..?
Man. Here is hoping they leave Medan as a fake character and write him out of canon entirely. Same with WoD. I don't want any of that crap to ever be brought back up. It deserves to stay dead. In fact, everything on this list should stay dead plot lines except maybe the well of eternity vial and of course Scarlet Crusade.
Agreed! Some things - especially from blizz - should stay dead and be forgotten.
How about Salandria? Her children's week stuff with the bronze dragonflight, then bringing her back for the Blood Knight transmog quest before Dragonflight. Wasn't part of any of the recent bronze stuff, so... why bring her back?
About Medivh powers, they can make him lose his powers similar to MU Gul'dan when he went into coma.
For the game's health, they should totally restart the whole world. Make every single zone evergreen with rep/renown so they will be able to add rewards later on... And most importantly, this will give the devs a total playground where they CAN go back to an old zone and add stuff years later (An instanced dungeon, raid or even zone progression where, yeah, you've done this zone, but now enter this portal and go explore what happened here when Trolls invaded.) Yeah, even if WoD is done, I wish they'd go back now to Farahlon. And with DF scale, I really wish Old Azeroth had the same. There's like 200K people in Stormwind, yet the capital now feels... Tiny. I mean, when the game launched, Stormwind was huge and impressive for sure... But now, when you look at Boralus or Valdrakken? And I firmly believe all Capital Cities should be actual questing zones with the possibility to expand later on. I don't care walking or flying over empty fields that will, one day, be a new district or something. And you can even expand underground. Ironforge and Gnomeregan are probably the easiest for that.
I just want a living, vast world. Keep Dragonriding, sure. But lock it behind main story progression. I want to explore. I want to see a pack of mob and think twice before engaging. I'm really bored of just, dropping on the boss, killing it, and fly away. I want to fight, win and lose. Danger, survival, cowardly running for my life. I mean, I'm riding a freaking dragon and it doesn't even breath fire and attack anything, except a weak stomp when landing. I don't want that. I don't want to see a dragon and think, oh cool, another mindless mob. I want diversity in monsters tactics and most importantly, a reason to group up with a priest or paladin when facing undead or seek a hunter to track and take down an elusive massive boar.
Maybe Denathirus' disappearance has to due with the fact that, by the end of Shadowlands, Blizzard had decided that the Ethernal were not magical spirits but robots, and Denathius' soul being immortal was hard to reconcile with both that decision and the fact that the jailor's clearly wasn't.
Matt Mercer repaired my gear all through Shadowlands. Blizzard hiring someone with a big name in the world of voice actors doesn't necessarily mean they had big plans. (Although, yeah, the Drust storyline was weirdly dropped after more than an expansion of build-up.)
I just had a mildly unsettling thought about that image of the Earthmother.
Why the fuck did they decide to give the anthropomorphic bovines a more or less human creator deity?
We're they just trying to make the most fuckable god since Alanis'
role in Dogma?
Community: "whats with all the other storylines??"
Blizzard: "I forgor💀"
this is the drama i need
We killed Gorak tul in the questline where we go to save jaina from the blighted lands
Man I think I know a lot about WoW lore but then I watch these videos
I feel like one problem WoW has is that they use waaay too many sidequests that go into literally nothing. A lot are good for sure, but quests that are things like "Go collect my flying lions chew toy, pillow and ball" could've been forgone for a questline with Baine learning about the spirit walkers.
I actually liked this quest in Shadowlands, as it was more down to earth than a lot of the others. It was a nice change of pace without any cosmic threat looming over your character like a damocles sword.
this video just made me realize blizz cant write a good story to save their life, all these scrapped stories, for the "love and friendship wins all" Dragonflight story, if i have to see another gushy goopy i love you as a friend cutscene im going to kkill myself infront on blizz hq.
Oh yea, there is a Light Dreadlord. I wonder what he has to do with The Jailer sense they all work for him, apparently.
Ve'nari is dead though? We found her corpse at the catalyst in Zereth Mortis? Or did she fake her death and I just forgot?
Think it was engineers that could look at the body and discover it was a ruse.
18:30 There was much more the shadowlands could have explored, but it was obvious early on that a lot of shadowlands was cut for time. Plenty of unused portals in oribos, is the biggest hint.
The death-representative entities or places we know of in WoW:
Yogg-Saron. Yes, he's an old god, and a void entity, but he was for the longest time, know as The God of Death. Was that just completely unwarranted? Pulled out of someone's behind? He was barely awake when we got there, so it couldn't be because he was killing things left and right, and by the time we got there, he was no longer known as the God of Death, that title being given to the Lich King instead.
"Hell", a place envisioned by humans (and maybe Dwarves?)
The spirit realm of the Tauren
Bwonsamdi, Mueh'zala (depicted)
Helya (depicted)
Ankoan afterlife (Where ancestors keep watching over the mortal realm after death)
Centaur afterlife (where they merge with an element or elemental creature, Ohn'ara / wind for Maruukai, the element of earth for Maraudon centaurs)
The Everlasting Party of Goblin afterlife
Sky-Riding with Elune for Night Elves
Tuskarr & Kul Tiran "Sea" afterlife where they become spirits that help the living
Spirit guide to the other side (Ancient Vulpera ancestors are believed to have become this)
Death Revenants (unless they're depicted as the Mawsworn)
Monks deal with Chi, which is explained to be "life", but they can also take life with Death Touch. It would have been fun to experiment with what exactly this means in regards to creatures that are of the Death realm.
There are probably also other things I've forgotten about.
There’s also Craftenium (I think that’s what it’s called) the afterlife where mechanics and tinkerers go
@@Hi-fd4cw To be fair for that one, since some creatures go to the emerald dream when they die, or to the void, or to the nether, i.e. their respective, representative realms, as opposed to the shadowlands, it might be that's a place that's part of the realm of Order, given the Titans' fixation on engineering.
No Dread Admiral Nightingale at the end?
I love and hate these theory and what we could have had videos so much lol
So the water from the well of eternity is a piece of incorruptible Azeroth that can be used to remake her pure and uncorrupted by void lords
I feel like afrasiabi had a vendetta towards Sylvanas and derailed her character out of spite.
17 was a weird one to stop at given how often they don't follow through. I imagine blizzard are so tight arsed they don't even let farts escape.
Ah, the time Cho'Gall become a chicken
17? That number's a little low, isn't it?
