With a ton of mounting evidence (including newly uncovered things), it seems the game is making a return to one of Warcraft’s most iconic places on Azeroth: Lordaeron. It was basically wiped out undead, yet is home to the beginning of humans and some of the most important human things in WoW, including Arthas, Prince of Lordaeron, who became Lich King. There are a ton of storylines that can be carried forward and made fresh, we might see an uncorrupted Lordaeron for the first time in-game, lots of political intrigue is possible with the allegations of a forgotten true heir to the throne from an evil anti-undead cult everyone loves - the Scarlet.

in all these years the alliance never had problems between them like the horde had… like 4/5 warchiefs and allot civil wars going on, now is the perfect time to give the alliance side a war between themselves, Andwuin coming back to take hes Throne many humans in the stormwind city dont want him on the throne, now is the perfect time for them make Turalyon go away from stormwind and unite the other human kingdoms to create a new order of the light with the Scarlet crusaders ,the league of Arathor and the rest of the paladins from argent dawn and Anderhol. let Turalyon get all those light order people back together and they cleanse Lordearon from the plague and they get back undercity for the humans as other capitol city. the undeads could get that back living in the underground or along side with the humans above, sense millions of the undead are priests and warriors along side with mages from the scarlet crusade. and now its the perfect time to interduce undead Paladin class in the game! why undead can be warriors / Holy priests and they cannot be a paladin? a paladin is a warrior that uses holy magic to heal and imbue hes weapon to fight! Taurens get their paladin class from nonsense! they one day they look at the sky saw the Sun oh look sun = paladin? blizzard stop making stupid stuff without a sense!
i am not an alliance player, for 20 years i love the horde and my orc warrior! but it would be awsome to see something like this to happen! i just give an idea of a huge patch and lore that blizzard can work with. DONT destroy THE TURALYON LORE he is the most badass guy the alliance have! let him be the King of Lordearon and Rule with arthas sister.
Turalyon could create the new Order of the Light by naming it *The purifiers* and bring the Light to restore all those places destroyed by the scourge of old!

The best possible next expansion would be a full revamp of everything north of the Thandol span, from Gilneas to Sunwell, Hopefully making Zul'Aman more than a hole in the wall and connecting Stratholme to Deathholme like they're so clearly meant to if they were on the same map. There's so many hints starting to point this way; Even the Silver Hand popping up in the DF Tyr questline. We must also remember The Hinterlands - with the Wildhammer Dwarves, A mix of troll clans, and even some of the only official alliance high elf NPCs, who stayed aligned with the Wildhammers (And mostly got killed by horde players in a quest). But I think that whole chunk needs some love too.

Calia might become a problem for the Forsaken eventually because that whole "bringing her back as the Light and she herself would have her be" is kinda concerning. I mean the only reason the light would want her as an undead is to control the only race that can resist its influence. Cant think of any other reason why the Naaru can suddenly bring people back as undead. So Commander Belmont has some good reasons not to trust her.

I like the idea of Turalyon being more pragmatic and measured than say wrath era Varian, but still more willing to go into conflict than Anduin. So Horde and Alliance becomes two of many options to rep. Then you can really go nuts with Faction pvp. Encorperate the races into it and soon you got teams and leagues. Holy shit. Then you know what you can do. Have actual War in World of Warcaft. 20 vs 20 battles based on WoW history.

@@desireekallenberg3235The whole concept of the undead being fully aware, with clear memories of their past lives, and politically organized into the Forsaken doesn't make sense either. They should be mindless killing machines, unable to reason. As to curing it, if it's spread by plague, then a storyline that develops a life restoring antidote to that plague is plausible. Also there could be an angle using priests and paladins using the power of the Light to restore life. Think of how many times our toons are rezzed by those classes, or simply by ghost running. 'Curing" undeadness really isn't that far fetched.

Do you see a possibility that the Alliance will have a council like the horde, where Turalyon and Anduin will have more or less equal power? I could see that. Anduin could retain the title of King of Stormwind but it would be more like the position in the Alliance that Genn holds now. If Turalyon retains control of the Alliance united armed forces, he's essentially more powerful. I do not think that there will be a power struggle. I think that when Anduin returns, he will not want to be commander of the Alliance. It might be kind of like what Thrall did back in the day. I could see him focusing more on his priesthood and social projects and leaving the military to Turalyon.

I often wondered why Blizz never took advantage of with the Scourge fractioning, that there weren't more customizations given to the Forsaken like looking more like a ghoul, a geist, a san'layan, or even a mini abomination. It would fit with the Helm of Domination out of the picture, some Scourge regaining free will and going to the group who'd be more understanding of their situation. We've had undead trolls since forever so why not have them as playable since there is that undead look for elves.

I would love for there to be more focus on Lordaeron and the leading powers there, the Forsaken and Blood Elves.
The Desolate council needs to step into character and show just what each member can do, even more so than during the cleansing of the Ruins of Lordaeron. Belmont would stand to gain the most tbh, with Calia the fallen princess, Faranell the former medic extraordinaire, Velonara the Dark Ranger and Lillian Voss being Voss, he doesn't stand out much with a marked lack of backstory.
The Blood elves have long suffered from lack of presence in Lordaeron, yes there was a bunch of advisors suddenly popping up, but they did very little outside of that. Plenty of presence in Outland and Northrend, but not in the lands they originally settled, so for them to step up and claim more territory would be awesome. Dragging in the Nithgborne would be an interesting idea, since their homeland iss so markedly different from the Plaguelands and Tirisfal.

Imagine the Scarlet Onslaught sails from Northrend and takes Gilneas and we have a raid or another mega dungeon retaking Gilneas.
I think it would be interesting to see patch by patch political developments along with zone revamps especially in the Eastern Kingdoms. Imagine a reworked Arie Peak and Blackrock Mountain where the zones are then based on the respective factions establishing a hold on there Kingdoms. The forsaken creating a 'new Lordaeron' like you mentioned and i think it would set the lore up nicely for the factions of Azeroth to be fully established before we inevitably take on the Void.

With the current peace between the horde & the alliance I wonder if it's likely for the forsaken to offer the Gilnean help in reclaiming their land for the atrocities Sylvanas commited, maybe even team up with the paladin orders that aren't extreme to help fully reclaim the plaguelands. I know the Argent Dawn at least been working with forsaken (at least a argent dawn forskane npc) since vanilla so I could see a situation where any undead of sound mind being okay (except in the minds of the various scalets if they enter the picture, which would either put them as global enemies or just enemies of the forsaken)
I could just see the forsaken being instrumental in showing their new place in the world by helping both the humans and worgens(gilnean) dealing with both feral worgens and scourge forces.

The Alliance not re-taking Lordaeron is the biggest travesty in the canon. The fact that alliance players are sent on a SL quest to help the council clear the plague in UC is a slap in the face. Bring on the Scarlet Onslaught. May they cleanse the land of undeath for good and all, which the weakling Anduin couldn't bring himself to do. Burn them all and salt the ashes--just as the mongrels did Teldrassil. No forgiveness, no mercy. If Blizzard actually does an Army of the Light-as-villain expansion, I hope they let us choose sides.

  • @MrDarkenson
    @MrDarkenson 11 месяцев назад

The problem stands. Whom are they populate this new Lordaeron with? Most of it's citizens are now Forsaken. Those who fled to Hillsbrad got rounded up later in Cataclysm or accepted Worgen curse in order to escape undeath.
Most of Lordaeron refugees lived in Southshore and Theramore which both got destroyed. Those who tried to return to Western Plaguelands also fell under Forsaken sword either during Battle for Andorhal or during guerrila warfare on the surrounding farms.
Stormwind doesn't have men to spare as they still have Westfall and Duskwood to restore. Unless Blizzard shits out magical numbers out of thin air that can rival Forsaken numbers then I do not know what else can restore Lordaeron.
