The scene was suppose to depict she was at a market and at markets they actually sell them on grounds like that on some instances. some of the people of the culture say its not that big of a deal while a few say it is. the ones that blow it way out of proportion ive found out were from different fandoms and are very consistant at tearing down the group and company by all means necessary. well either way they took car of it right away which is commendable.

You do realize YG does not believe in green screen. They had Jisoo balancing in that hole and Rose was rotating in a contraption for the dark garden scenes. Lisa's Hindu statue was digitally removed because it caused an uproar. The Winter scene with the pumpjack is not cgi. The video is 100% dope.

I didn’t feel the song at the first listen, especially the chorus. But now, I LOVE it. It’s definitely a bop. They also deliver it well. The song is meant to a be a bit mellow at first then bounce back from the chorus till the end the way they sing it, damn I can feel the transition. The emotion is spot on. The chorus part, I see many people can’t feel it, but that’s perfect actually. It’s meant to tell the haters (or those who hurt them) “how ya like that? That that that?” in such playful manner, like someone teasing/mocking “na na na nanana” (If you know what I mean, it’s hard to express it thru text lol) I also love the symbol and references used in the mv and song, like the greek mythology or Superman reference. I know for those who don’t get it will say it’s weird and like randomly put there, but for me it weirdly fits. I’m all for symbol and hidden meaning! I know there are some people who don’t like this, probably because the song isn’t their cuppa tea or because they don’t really feel the song, but then there are also people who just hate it because it’s BP. Thing is, there are some casual reactors/reviewers who bother making a whole video of how they don’t like this, and while I don’t mind their opinion, the comment section become a haters cesspool. I think the problem is BlackPink has so much to offer but they give them songs like this.. some just won't admit that this song isn't that good because BP hasn't made music for so long that they would gobble up anything they put out at this stage.. It is more of a disappointment because I always liked them. I'm a ONCE but "Really" is one of my favorite songs (probably one of their best tracks ever). the point of this song is the same as D4 and KTL songs. They all serve the same purpose which is to call people's attention. D4 was to promote the Square Up EP, KTL was to promote the Kill This Love EP and this song is to promote the future album. People that complain about these songs really dont understand this. On KTL EP for example, i think all the 4 songs are pretty good, but songs like "Hope Not" could not be a main song for that EP, this is a really good song but not a song that will call the attention of new potential fans.

I'm not trying to start anything here, I love BP and love this song, I'm just trying to explain why some people have been complaining about the mv, so hopefully you can understand.
Louise Dunnin yes i aware of the item. It all boils down to who you talk to. The scene was suppose to depict she was at a market and at markets they actually sell them on grounds like that on some instances. some of the people of the culture say its not that big of a deal while a few say it is. the ones that blow it way out of proportion ive found out were from different fandoms and are very consistant at tearing down the group and company by all means necessary. well either way they took car of it right away which is commendable.

You do realize YG does not believe in green screen. They had Jisoo balancing in that hole and Rose was rotating in a contraption for the dark garden scenes. Lisa's Hindu statue was digitally removed because it caused an uproar. The Winter scene with the pumpjack is not cgi. The video is 100% dope.

I didn’t feel the song at the first listen, especially the chorus. But now, I LOVE it. It’s definitely a bop. They also deliver it well. The song is meant to a be a bit mellow at first then bounce back from the chorus till the end the way they sing it, damn I can feel the transition. The emotion is spot on. The chorus part, I see many people can’t feel it, but that’s perfect actually. It’s meant to tell the haters (or those who hurt them) “how ya like that? That that that?” in such playful manner, like someone teasing/mocking “na na na nanana” (If you know what I mean, it’s hard to express it thru text lol) I also love the symbol and references used in the mv and song, like the greek mythology or Superman reference. I know for those who don’t get it will say it’s weird and like randomly put there, but for me it weirdly fits. I’m all for symbol and hidden meaning! I know there are some people who don’t like this, probably because the song isn’t their cuppa tea or because they don’t really feel the song, but then there are also people who just hate it because it’s BP. Thing is, there are some casual reactors/reviewers who bother making a whole video of how they don’t like this, and while I don’t mind their opinion, the comment section become a haters cesspool. Some people even say that if reviewers/reactors like it, they’re not genuine and just doing it for the view (come on!) But yeah, there are people who genuinely like the song (like me). Like it or not, it’s still a snapping comeback. “look up in the sky, it’s a bird? It’s a plane? No, it’s Blackpink!” :p

I think the problem is BlackPink has so much to offer but they give them songs like this.. some just won't admit that this song isn't that good because BP hasn't made music for so long that they would gobble up anything they put out at this stage.. It is more of a disappointment because I always liked them. I'm a ONCE but "Really" is one of my favorite songs (probably one of their best tracks ever). It's sad they get "hate" but it's not the girls fault. I hope the next song they put out shows the BP I saw 3 years ago.

People that complain about these songs really dont understand this.
On KTL EP for example, i think all the 4 songs are pretty good, but songs like "Hope Not" could not be a main song for that EP, this is a really good song but not a song that will call the attention of new potential fans.
