    I have two of these, been running one for about a year and the other for about two years. No problems so far, fingers crossed!

    I've been running cyberpower for a while, but something I've been considering is switching over to solar power stations. Way more expensive, but during the winter out here in northern new hampshire the power tends to cut out for 48 hours at a time when a bad storm rolls through.

      I have a friend from the Philippines who often has blackouts and brownouts that prevent him from working on his art commissions. I would love to gift him one of those, but he refuses to let me do it... :(

      Valuable info to me. I am considering protecting my pure SSD NAS with one of these, although our German power network is absolutely flawless. In 10 years I only had a single 20 minute outage.

    To avoid the PC from waking up randomly you need to disable the checkbox "Allow this device to wake the computer." on all input devices and network adapters. Additionally in the Power Options of your current power plan, find "Sleep" in the tree and then "Wake timers" and disable them there.

    The usb output would be handy to use with a little raspberry pi server so you can ditch the power brick entirely

    Well I have to say I am reasonably impressed with this unit. I might just have to consider getting one of these over a comparable APC unit. I had assumed CyberPower was just some no name brand but I guess I stand corrected.

      They're pretty big in the business - they make commercial-grade double conversion units as well.

      Guess I've been missing out then. I looked at their product catalogue and they do indeed have some pretty nice and sizeable units.

  • @kyoudaiken
    @kyoudaiken 3 месяца назад

    GreenPower probably means that by itself, the unit doesn't use much power and you won't notice a change on your electricity bill, which is important to me since I pay almost 0.29 EUR per KW/h, that's 0.43 CAD.

    we have 2 of them one of them is not working now after 2 years of service it a rack mount it not the batts as it say full charge when power go's off it go's off too kind of upsetting so will be buying a new one soon just got to save up lol i love watching your videos thank for doing them :)

    • @themaritimegirl
      @themaritimegirl  3 месяца назад +2

      It's almost definitely bad batteries. The battery meter will still show a full charge even if the batteries are bad, because it's just looking at the voltage.

      @@themaritimegirl i was thinking of trying new batts to see hope it that as it a lot less for them then a new ups thanks for the reply and info

    The identical load reading in watts and VA is odd.

    • @kyoudaiken
      @kyoudaiken 3 месяца назад

      No, not really. It's because the PSU in his load has active power factor correction, as mentioned when discussing the features of this model.

    • @themaritimegirl

      No, but PowerPanel has a Linux version, and I'm sure CUPS works as well.

    Is it possible to turn off ECO mode? I can't figure it out, for the life of me, and it's causing trouble. x.x

    • @themaritimegirl
      @themaritimegirl  2 месяца назад

      @@Sadeyr No. Eco mode just means it's not running on the inverter. It wouldn't make sense for it to run on the inverter all the time, as it's a line-interactive UPS.

    • @Sadeyr
      @Sadeyr 2 месяца назад

      @@themaritimegirl The problem I am having is sudden power jumps which, when in eco mode, the system is not catching fast enough so it is affecting my PC. It only kicks into eco mode a moment after the shift happens and it causes a lot of trouble, and from what Ive gathered the way people fix this issue is by disabling the eco mode on their cyberpower UPS'. This one in particular seems to lack the ability to turn it off, though. : / The last one I had just had a button for it, I assumed this one would have some kind of setting to do so but it doesn't

      Have you tried turning the sensitivity up? That might fix the responsiveness issues.

    • @Sadeyr
      @Sadeyr 2 месяца назад

      @@themaritimegirl Ive been messing with it a little, though it is a little confusing to me. It mentions that a lower sensitivity is good for unstable connections and will make the battery kick on less, but wouldn't you want that with an unstable connection?

    • @Sadeyr
      @Sadeyr 2 месяца назад

      @@themaritimegirl Er, sorry, I was talking about 'Utility Power' for that. It says to put utility power at low for unstable connections so the battery kicks on less, but Im unsure if that is a good thing or not. I do have sensitivity on high now!
