Your comment made me laugh so I googled "mid century modern turtle" and it turns out that they were actually a relatively popular thing in mid century decor. Or at least enough that there are multiple google image and shopping results for turtle figurines of the correct era.
Check out Carl's Sims Guide for a review too. So many of you seem really excited by this. If you're a builder, it seems to have a lot to offer. However, gameplay is super buggy. Carl did living room renos where he placed 4 bath tubs, a climbing wall and several dog poos. The Sims clients loved them all. He even 'showcased' the dog poos and the Sim clients cried tears of joy at seeing them! Funny but also sad - again, no real gameplay depth.
I think most sims fans just liked seeing people talk about the packs and don't like anything negative being said and ignore the fact their precious game is literally made by the devil and they are just seen as walking wallets, I mean you gotta be real stupid to pay over £1000 for a game that is as poor as the Sims 4, it doesnt even work, it's basically early access.
This game pack is awesome, I never designed/decorated my sims homes because I felt like I was never good. But after stepping out of my comfort zone and did some design jobs, I got so much more confidence in it! I love it. Great gameplay.
it is a good idea to get to know all of the clients and ask their opinions, the husband might like pink but the wife might hate it so it's good to know your audience! 🥰
This is so cool!!! Definitely a good investment because of so many new pieces and the ability to change other peoples houses throughout the worlds. I'm excited for this to come out!!
i love this pack but i’ve noticed that the clients tend to ask for decor from other packs that i don’t have so for some of the gigs i’m pretty much doomed to fail.

Worth watching Carl's review too. Apparently, it doesn't matter much what you do. He put large dog poo everywhere, showed the Sims and they loved it... that kinda ruined it for me.
I am So excited to see what custom content creators do with the new sofas. Recently switched from console to pc for the sims. I lost all my packs, which I think is absurd, but custom content has 100% made it worth it.
I'm pretty sure you can change the flooring if you want. When it says you can't add new floor tiles that means you can't change the size/shape of the room by adding new tiles. New as in additional, not new as in different style. It's because it's a room renovation so you have to stay inside the room, you can't change it up with ADDITIONAL (new) floor tiles. Other gigs allow you to move around walls or add rooms. They went over that in the Livestream.
My son and grandma wanted to buy me a new Sims pack for my birthday in March, but I asked if we could wait until something caught my eye. Deli! Some interior decorating advice I once got: Don't mix warm colors with cool colors. You can do warm and neutral, or cool and neutral but don't mix colors like orange and green together. Not sure if that actually matters in game though. Lol ♥️

I recently got rid of my Xbox and changed to PlayStation and so I lost all of my sims stuff and have to start again but I’ve just brought this game pack as my first and I’m actually really excited ☺️
I love this game paaaack! 🥰 I keep having bugs on those modular cabinets where you hang clothes. They get automatically removed when they are overlapped with other items. It’s so annoying!
When I was renovating a bedroom for the Landgraabs I put all of their expensive stuff into my household inventory and then sold it when I got home I sold it and ended up having 100,000 simoleons and so I made myself a brand new house taking inspiration from your second Growing Together LP house
I like the separate oven and stove top I like to make double ovens using the move objects on code and moving the counter piece up (I'm on Xbox so its different than PC lol) but it's cool, haven't tried using it tho lol

maybe check how your renovations affect the exterior of the build.. there was a flower box and a gutter pipe on the front windows and a hanging flower pot on top of the door
I wasn't really sure about getting the pack 'cause I though I would only like the CAS, clutter & so, but I really love how it's played! Will get it as soon as I can.
When you ask the clients about design, they will pull up a tablet to show you. If you look, it will show you other things they like that won't be in the likes/dislikes client list. I had a gig for 3 clients with 2 dislikes and 1 like. But 2 of them showed me that they liked color stripe design, and the other showed me a red armchair. It will give you more clues to what they like. The clients all loved it.
I had one job in a house of 3 elderly sims. Right before I could send them away they all simultaneously collapsed on the floor dead. I pleaded for one of them so I could finish the job. But it turns out that it wasn't the right one. The game differentiates between your main client and other household members, so the important interactions only happen with that one person. But, but it doesn't give you an indication of who the main client is because they are all labelled the same. I was stuck on the lot unable to do anything until the ghost came back for the reveal. Then it left just as quick and the chat with client goal didn't register with the other sim so I couldn't complete it and had to end the event early so I could leave. I still got paid but it was a bit of a gong show
has anyone else had trouble with the reveal? i've done about 5 rooms and it hasnt once successfully shown the before and after pics...not sure whats going wrong
SAME!! honestly it's discouraging, I spent an hour renovating and get pissed off clients and no money, even though I listen to their likes/dislikes.... great.
