That very first one reminds me of that guy that adopted a dog who refused to listen, only to find out the dog only understood spanish.
RUclips helped me realize that animals understand perfectly whatever language their human friend is speaking in. Watched a Russian talking to his cat. Cat seemed to respond. I laughed at my own stupidity. Horses in Spain, duh. Fluffy dogs in Japan.
Japan: high trust society.

This is regarding Mexico- When I lived in Southern California I’d cross the border for affordable dental work. Many dentists even accept U.S. based insurance providers. Need a root canal by the co-pay is *STILL* way too expensive? You can afford it there. Have a toothache that you want looked at (and *ONLY* that tooth treated without getting X-rays or your entire mouth? If it’s a simple cavity, you can have it filled and be back on American soil by the end of the day.
