      Bell Sean ain’t no Jamaicans on the U.S. team. They are not fast enough and lack talent. That is why they wear green and yellow and finish behind the Americans 6 seconds back. A bronze is a fantastic result for the girls from Montego Bay. 3rd place for that inferior talent is amazing!!!!!!

    Allyson is the only American runner to have titles in the 100m, 200m & 400m at the National Championships. And that's outside of her World Championships and Olympic medals. I don't know if people really realize how special and rare she is. Already a legend at 28.

      Mike Johnson could have done it but his form was too upright, it caused his dig and drive phase to almost be forced out too early. He would not have gained enough momentum quick enough to be able to run 9.8's. But had his form been not so up right he def could have done it.

      There are men who have the capability but don't do so. Bolt could easily be a force in the 400 as well. Then there's Tyson gay, he runs 9. seconds in the 100, 19. seconds in the 200 and 44. In the 400. He could very well be a force also.

However, the Greatest sprinter of all time...name one person more versatile and with more medals to prove it than Allyson Michelle Felix. Shelly isn't even close when it comes to versatility. I remember when women athletes were quite rare and almost never seen in competition. Women's athletics has come so far in the last 60 years that it is hard to put in words. It's taken into count while arranging starting points of the race in each lane. If not the best teams would have chosen lane 1 in relay races, right? but they do not! best teams chose lane 5-6, worst among the lot take 1-2...

      Hey +Christian Evans, OMG she's a beast indeed oh I'm very happy for Allyson but I'm still upset for whatever reason (wink wink) she lost by hundredths of secs in the 200 and to see the person who won didn't even qualify for Rio 200 Finals. Allyson deserves all the notoriety that Bolt has accomplished. Meaning that Allyson is deserved of another Gold in that 200 in Rio. I'm just saying Christian, know what I mean? Your thoughts.

    • @jchristianevans
      @jchristianevans 8 лет назад

      +CoffeeLiciousLady That woman straight cheated. I'm still semi-pissed about that. I have the picture saved in my phone. She was almost fully horizontal, pulling a freakin superman move to get across the finish line. I understand there's not a rule against it, per se, but that's because it was already understood that RUNNING requires you to be upright, not horizontal. They're going to make that illegal pretty soon. She definitely earned the Silver medal, but Allyson earned the gold.

    • @coffeeliciouslady3271
      @coffeeliciouslady3271 8 лет назад +1

      Hey +Christian Evans, is it me or were there lots of "diving" going on in the track and field?  LMAO  Schiffers dove, the anchor leg on the mens relay team fell or dove, whatever.  There was a lot of "Diving Competition" at the Rio Olympics and then there was "Diving at the finish line in track and field. at the Rio Olympic" Totally amusing.

    • @jchristianevans
      @jchristianevans 8 лет назад +1

      +CoffeeLiciousLady Yes I did notice that. There was a lot more diving after Allyson got robbed. But the other runners didn't successfully dive until after they crossed the finish line. So they still lost.

    • @ahlyssarobinson8437
      @ahlyssarobinson8437 8 лет назад +141

      Some coaches prefer their best leg on the second leg to leave a big lead so that the othet legs only have to keep the leg instead of trying to gain or fight for it.

    • @ahlyssarobinson8437
      @ahlyssarobinson8437 8 лет назад +10

    • @mahlonthomas2648
      @mahlonthomas2648 8 лет назад +60

      It's a different concept from the 4x1 where the fastest is on the anchor. With 4x4 and 4x8 you want that "
      power leg" on the 2 spot to build a lead and the 3 and 4 runners hold it or bring them back. They are not the fastest runners on the anchor on these relays. I moved from anchor to 2 in high school and didn't understand it until my coach showed me film.
