Bell Sean ain’t no Jamaicans on the U.S. team. They are not fast enough and lack talent. That is why they wear green and yellow and finish behind the Americans 6 seconds back. A bronze is a fantastic result for the girls from Montego Bay. 3rd place for that inferior talent is amazing!!!!!!
Allyson is the only American runner to have titles in the 100m, 200m & 400m at the National Championships. And that's outside of her World Championships and Olympic medals. I don't know if people really realize how special and rare she is. Already a legend at 28.
Mike Johnson could have done it but his form was too upright, it caused his dig and drive phase to almost be forced out too early. He would not have gained enough momentum quick enough to be able to run 9.8's. But had his form been not so up right he def could have done it.
There are men who have the capability but don't do so. Bolt could easily be a force in the 400 as well. Then there's Tyson gay, he runs 9. seconds in the 100, 19. seconds in the 200 and 44. In the 400. He could very well be a force also.

@@alexarihani2902 Sure. So compare them Felix and Richards Ross in this relay where they both had running starts. 47.9 Felix, v/s 49.2 for Richards Ross. Enough said.
I also love watching her run. Although I initially thought it was a big mistake for her to run both the 200 and the 400 at the World Champs, I now believe that she did so to build her stamina for final stretch of the 200, a training strategy that worked to perfection in London.
Can someone please tell me why Allyson Felix does not anchor these relay teams? She always runs the fastest times/splits of the other 3 ladies. That's why I can't understand why the USA coaches won't let her anchor. Answers anyone ???????
Some coaches prefer their best leg on the second leg to leave a big lead so that the othet legs only have to keep the leg instead of trying to gain or fight for it.
It's a different concept from the 4x1 where the fastest is on the anchor. With 4x4 and 4x8 you want that " power leg" on the 2 spot to build a lead and the 3 and 4 runners hold it or bring them back. They are not the fastest runners on the anchor on these relays. I moved from anchor to 2 in high school and didn't understand it until my coach showed me film.

Felix ran a 47.9 and ran a few meters longer because of the cross over. One of her best races ever.
cross over makes it a bit shorter..that's why second leg coulc be run fastest in a 4*400 m relay.

This won't happen again, I honestly love the USA relay teams, they breed 400 runners....
Watching these all over again!!! :-) I love the Olympics!
If I don't see USA on the track, I literally switch off TV. They are beautiful to watch. Quite talented and just classy. God has blessed African Americans!
Felix has come a long way! A queen! A legend!
Until now 2019 watching already for my idol.. Allyson felix i got nervous even though I know u are always win.. And after that I got a flew haha.. U are a legend.. Team usa.. Love from philippines
Felix ran a good 1.5 seconds quicker than the gold medalist of the 400m individual event. Enough said.
Can’t compare a running start As a relay race to an individual race
@@alexarihani2902 Sure. So compare them Felix and Richards Ross in this relay where they both had running starts. 47.9 Felix, v/s 49.2 for Richards Ross. Enough said.
@cliff hanger she almost won gold until her competitor literally jumped over the line.
It's really starting to be unfair the way FELIX always DUSTS her competition in any event! Like, who can beat her?
Well....um....funny you should ask that....
+Jon155mt straight foul lol
kekelovequeen lmao
This Will always be one of my favorite Olympic wins!! ❤️💙🤞🏾
Trotter Smoked That 1st Leg Race Basically Over After Felix They All Ran Great Legs !!!!! U.S.A.
Wow !!! Alyson Felix was flying, it was literally game over after the 2nd leg, USA just had to maintain the lead
Allyson and Sanya two of my fave track stars for sure
The way Ally ran that track is still unbelievable!
Me watching this 7 years later . Omg this looks nerve wracking .
Anytime I'm watching Allyson Felix, she gives me goosebumps. That lady is the G.O.A.T. 💘
Phenomenal performance by Allyson Felix here.
Again, I will say it, Felix has mastered how to run that 400 meters, when she got the baton that was all she wrote!!!! A beast on that track!!
I also love watching her run. Although I initially thought it was a big mistake for her to run both the 200 and the 400 at the World Champs, I now believe that she did so to build her stamina for final stretch of the 200, a training strategy that worked to perfection in London.
Very professional job of announcing, pleasing to listening to.
I couldn't ever forget this, just incredible!!! Congratulations!!!
Tbh, I watch these to see the HUGE leads that USA has on the other countries. lol
Allyson Felix SLAYED!
But I agree that she should be anchor. She can catch anyone on the track.
It's a different concept from the 4x1 where the fastest is on the anchor. With 4x4 and 4x8 you want that "
power leg" on the 2 spot to build a lead and the 3 and 4 runners hold it or bring them back. They are not the fastest runners on the anchor on these relays. I moved from anchor to 2 in high school and didn't understand it until my coach showed me film.
Got it Ahlyssa, thanks.
THanks Mahlon.
Wow ladies!! AMAZING! U.S.A don't playyyyy. You ladies are all so awesome individually, then came together and ran an INCREDIBLE race!
