Oh my gosh, this has got to be the cutest DCP apartment I've ever seen! You guys did such a good job making it look stylish and cozy instead of cluttered even though so many people live in such a small space. Loved it!

I was a cp in Patterson January to August 2009, May to August 2010, in vista August 2010 to January 2011, and back in Patterson January to August 2013. It's so neat to see your experience and also how much everything has changed. The only thing we were really allowed to hang up on our walls was anything put on the bulletin board they supplied us, and maybe one or two other things total but we'd have to take everything down for inspections. It's nice you guys can decorate a lot more!

The "have courage and be kind" sign gave me feels because Cinderella is my fave. Your apartment is so adorable and seems so cozy! The more I watch your videos, the more I want to do the DCP myself. lol

Absolutely love your apartment! I've watched tons of DCP apartment tour vlogs and never seen one as cute as this. My sister and I are coming down in January and your apartment is my goal! lol I really want those sofa covers! Hopefully my other roommates will want them too!

Nice video. I've been starting to watch different CP housing complex videos. I've just been accepted for 2018 Fall Advantage, and I'm seeing what complex would be best to pull for. I previously did a CP during Spring 2000 and Vista Way was the only complex for domestic students. I liked Vista Way, but it's nice that we have options now.

Oh my gosh, the couch covers are so cute! I can't believe ya'll found ones that worked so well. I was super confused when you showed them at first cause, you're not wrong, the fabric is super ugly haha. I'm sure they picked that pattern to hide stains from year to year since it's so busy and colorful (which, when you think about it that way, GROSS). Great video! I miss Patterson :( My little retirement community haha

Random question: did housing do away with the bulletin board rule? I've noticed so many apartment tours showing people hanging things on walls and that was sooo not the case when I was there! And it was even stricter in the couple years after me. Are you able to hang whatever you want up now?
Natalie Koch yes!! Housing took down all the bulletin boards and you are allowed to hang things up! But only using command strips!!
This as by far been the best DCP apartment tour so far! I love how y’all made it look so homey and all the extra details! I’m curious as to where you got the mickey pumpkins wreath? It’s so cute!
Salem Watson Aww yay!! Thank you so much!!!! My roommate Kat actually made it! She cut a mickey trick or treating bucket in half, spray painted it the right color, and then put it in the wreath! So it’s an original!! Hahaha!

I actually have filmed a video about this is just haven’t posted it yet so I’ll talk more in depth about it soon! I don’t take the busses! But all my friends who do, hate it! It’s just a hassle! But if it’s your only option, you just do it! It’s just SO much easier if you have a car!

Not sure if you would know, but does that couch cover fit the couches in Vista as well? Checking in August 13 and a bunch of my roomies are flying in so want to live where all the busses are, but the couches aren't cute there either hahaha.

I just got my itinerary to move into the Patterson's next Monday!!!! is there a laundry unit inside of the apartment, and when do you usually find out how many roommates I should expect to have?
So I don't really see anybody asking this but... When you bring things that aren't provided like toasters, towel hangers, mirrors, etc. How do you know if you should bring it or if your roommate is going to bring it? What do you do if like 4 people bring toasters? Where do you put all the extra things if someone else already brought them? I have just been wondering this while watching multiple videos like this.

And she got it from Home Goods!!!! I’m. It sure which side it is but I would guess XL. The beds here are a standard twin, so probably bigger than the bed because it hanged over so far!
This is the cutest DCP room I’ve seen. Don’t know why I’m so obsessed with watching these videos im not even planning on going and I won’t be able to as I’m disabled but I like living it through others. You’ve been really creative with how you’ve done it up. It’s so homely all the others I’ve seen have just not really had that homely feel and have hit me with a little bit of a weird vibe for some reason. I don’t get why the couches are so damn ugly.

What a nice apartment! The prettiest one I have seen! Its obvious that you guys are Cps who came with car loads of your things or have them shipped. Us internationals just get there with one max two suitcases. No space for decorations and blankets in their. Still, your apartment is #apartmentgoals
Currently deciding between commons and Patterson, are you super far from laundry? I️ feel like Patterson has the better apts but laundry seems so nice to have in apt. However if it’s not super far or a huge pain I️ may not mind. TIA!

I love how homely you've made the apartment! Would you recommend Patterson to someone who won't have a car? It looks so much nicer than the other complexes but I'll be 100% relying on buses and my own legs. I'm coming from Australia so bringing my car isn't really an option haha.
Taylah Daviss the walk from Patterson to Chatham to get to the busses isn’t bad at all!! You can easily do it with no problem! It probably takes about 5-7 minutes totally depending on which building you live in in Patterson! You would be fine! Lot of my coworkers who rely on the busses live in Patterson and handle it totally fine!!

Alyse Megan I’m actually not sure hahaha! This comforter was my roommates in college, and she was moving into a house and didn’t need it anymore, so I took it! So I’m not sure what size it is or where it came from! But I would guess just twin because the beds here are just twin size! So if the comforter was twin XL I think it would hang over the edge farther! Does all that make sense?! Hahaha
I noticed one of your roommates had a candle warmer with a candle. Everything I've read has said that anything with a wick is not allowed in the apartments, has that changed? Your place is super cute btw!

Isabella Rich for my room personally, we brought any storage and most decorations before! After we got here, we bought the rug and curtains!! And for the living room, Janie had brought most all of the decoration and things before! So, we had most everything before!!
We also all drove cars down here, which explains why ere were able to bring so much stuff! Nobody had to fly and worry about luggage restrictions!

Stephanie Becerra well Chatham and Vista both have the bus stop, which is nice, but the walk from Paterson really isn’t bad! But I would avoid the Commons if you can! It’s much more difficult from there!! And YES ALL THE COMMAND HOOKS YOU COULD POSSIBLY BRING! We went through SO many packages! You can never have too many!!🤗

Emily Beth These are both warmed by a lightbulb NOT A HOTPLATE!!! That’s make the difference!! We had inspections and they didn’t say anything!! So, you should be good!!
