Had the same color. Was a pretty amazing car to drive. The engine was way powerful compared to the silly turbo petrol now in the market. Problem is the rubber seals and such. It always cracks and is a headache to replace. And the most common issue was the power steering leakage. Had this issue with this CRV and the Cicic I owned. Still an amazing car that I miss.
To be frank , not so great . All said and done it’s a awd mainly focused on on-road dynamics. It will be great in wet conditions . But that’s it . It is not meant to be driven off road .

Spare parts are easy to come by , most shop have them or they can be easily ordered . Prices for the parts can be a little bit on the pricey side , but once done correctly it will be hassle free for a long time . The main weak point in most Honda’s from this generation is the power steering system , just look for leaks

General service you can get it done from the Honda dealer itself . Items like power steering pump and suspension parts you can source from Delhi easily , and get it installed from any reputable workshop in Kerala

Hi, I have seen a 2011 model for sale for 4.85L. Is it a good deal still? I heard something about the new BSVi fuel is causing issues for old petrol cars, is that the case? Also whts you r opinion on getting CNG kits for the CRV, I heard that get the efficiency to 17 in certain cases.
4.85 lakhs is pretty much the top end of the market . If the car is in perfect shape and has low kilometres ,try to get the price down to 4.25 lakhs . I haven’t heard of the Honda engines suffering from the new fuels . Avoid getting the CNG kit installed as it will really decrease the life of the engine , it’s better not to modify the engine in any way as these K24 engines are very delicate . And spare parts for these cars are really expensive especially engine components. It’s best to buy the crv knowing that you will have to live with the horrible fuel milage , or else buy a different car with better fuel milage .
@@thatcarguyindia Thanks for the advice. I decided to pass it as the car already had 3 owners. plus if CNG kit is a bad idea then it's better to look for something with at least 10-12 mileage. Even though I dont' drive much it feels financially and environmentally irresponsible to drive a car with that low efficiency when you have better options. Thanks again.
