The animatronic work is nice and the movement is fluid, but they move more like heads than eyes; the pivot point being in the back like that makes it so you can't add eyelids or otherwise a mask over it if it were in a Chuck E Cheese styled animatronic or otherwise robot; I'm not sure what these could really be used for sadly with this flaw, but as an experiment to show how well these little servos work I like them! The servos are the real show in this video, I think

nevermind, I see how you did it. thanks for the mechanism. I can't pause my print, is there another way you recommend doing pupil and iris?

In some slicing software you can stop the print at a certain height, this is when you could change the color of the filament. I know simplify 3D has this feature. Alternatively you could split the model into three sections and print them separately and bond them after. Or you can try a more hands on approach and cut the filament mid print and stand over while feeding in the next color during printing, this method is quite laborious and can easily go wrong, but i've had success in the past when coming to the end of a spool mid print.

You can always use paint or marker pens. :-)

Do you sell the 3d printed parts ? Worried local hubs won't do the bearing step or use tge right filaments.

I've used Shapeways.com with excellent results. You have a wide choice of materials there, too.
