      ​@@Iceteaconsumer900as a student myself who obviously need to save money, i would recommend to buy the whole chicken instead of parts, in my country it's cheaper, just buthcer her nice so you won't waste any meat. You can use parts like breast and legs in your meals as usual, and you take parts like wings, spine, to make chicken broth (I later use it to cook risotto or something like this). It will help you a lot if you're student like me or just need to save money

      @@Iceteaconsumer900 I also couldn't do it, but then I watched some videos, a little bit of practice and it's fine now. I believe in you, my friend, you can do it. Just remember to have at least somewhat sharp knife (you don't need it to be much sharp cause you're not going to cut bones anyway, but it's still need to be kinda sharp). Also personally I prefer to cup it as soon as I arrive home, till it's still soft, cause if you put chicken in the freezer first, it would be much harder to cut. So I just arrive home, cut it, put in different small packets and thrn into freezer.

    Asian here, if you're really committed to eating Rice please stop buying those small bags, get the bigger sacks rice (5-10KG would usually last me for a month) they're way cheaper on the long run.

    I followed this as closely as possible. Walmart, 2lb bag of rice, chicken, frozen vegetables. Thing is, 2lbs of dry rice made what looks like 1 month’s worth of rice when I did it 😂
    Thank you very much for the awesome meal prep advice. This video motivated me greatly.

      @@Bickle121 The reheated chicken was actually pretty good with the spices. I kept the veggies, the chicken, and the rice all in separate containers. Normally, I would add a little sprinkling of water to the rice when I heat it up to make it less dry, but in this case, I found I didn’t have to do that. I just measured out my rice, veggies, and chicken on a plate and microwaved for a couple of minutes that being said, after the first week, I used the rice that was left in a stirfry with olive oil and soy sauce, and I liked it much better.
      Also, I like the fact that I got two weeks of lunches and dinners for $30.

    All of this btw is before the 12% taxes.
    Eating healthy is definitely cheaper, but eating at all is not cheap here in Canada BC. Wish we had your prices because every day it looks more hopeless here. Honestly seeing your six meals costing a third of the price per serving makes me jealous :L

    Yep. Unhealthy food isn't cheap like eveyone likes to say. The issue is a lot of people lack the education, schools need to be teaching this since not a lot of folks are learning to cook at home.

    My excuse?
    All those listed ingredients DO NOT cost that much in my area.
    (Doesn't mean I eat junk all day or anything. I actually try to eat balanced meals, balance of meats and vegetables. Even if it costs me.)

      But no, it's just my area, things are pricey, tax doesn't make it any easier.
      I could get the ingredients to make what was cooked here, but I wouldn't be able to make it into 6 meals.

    Thank you for this Noel! As someone who has always just ate bland food when it came to meals like this, I've gotten off of track as I started a family and they were not so keen on bland foods.     Also, if you are bad at cooking or busy maybe try an air fryer. It’s very low effort compared to other ways of cooking and is incredibly consistent so once you find the settings there is no guessing work.

      Many things in different sectors need x and y engineering going to space and more if you have dreams like those you will know the importance of x and y

I'm good at math but why we still talk or use X and Y when in accountancy talk about business like Journal, T account and etc. and why is even involved to other strand like Culinary, Automotive and Arts???

      ​@@zayedrahmanrafiu1108 being someone with no trade and no uni (put all my eggs in uni basket and then failed at it so I'm basically with no prospects at 26) I use damn find x during basic physical labour. When working with food had to adjust saline solution so with some paper and a pen, knowing salt and water measurements for smaller portion of the solution I was easily able to solve for x for more volume solution. Even in my current warehouse work I use the basics of math pretty much daily. Might be cause I fi d it faster than manually counting instead of I need x ammount, that's y boxes of z and some change.

      ​@@Yani_123culinary is effectively, chemistry and physics just tasty. Though in culinary classes you wont often be taught why things happen the way they do, just how to replicate them.
      Solving for x and proportion can be used for scaling up solutions etc.
