One Institute clothing mod I cane to love at first site is Look At Me - Institute Edition, which adds a new model of clothing for the entire faction that looks even better than what vanilla gave us. It even gives Shaun a new suit that really separates him from everyone else
Great modlist, thanks a lot for putting this together! Further down I have some more useful mods. I personally had some problems with some mods on this list. Namely Pack Attack, NPCs travel and Diamond City expansion. Pack Attack NPC Edition made it so I couldn't exit the game normally anymore and after some time I couldn't even save anymore. NPCs travel made the game a bit more unstable for me. I had random crashes here and there without prior warning and I wasn't able to reproduce the crashes, which makes it very unpractical to use in survival mode. DC expansion also gave me random crashes really often. And the performance wasn't that great either for me. But otherwise these mods also added lots of fun. Now, I think there are more mods that are really useful in making the game experience fresh. Namely the mods of SKK. I feel like u could throw in some enemy faction mods like raider overhaul n the merc gunner one, maybe some of the added interior mods. This is almost exactly how I play fo4, love this list
a really cool weapon mod is Satojomov Armory. basically, instead of adding new weapons to the game, it adds new attachments and conversions to most base-game weapons. its one of my favorites.
I was watching through this video to make an updated modlist without missing some of the old good ones and i heard you say, "i could probably make an hour long video with just lore-friendly weapons." You should. That seems like a really enjoyable video to watch as a fallout gun-nut and it seems like it would give you some probably really enjoyable research time into a whole category of mods. Also everyone always tries to find cool weapon mods for their new playthrough, so it should be a popular video? maybe?
Look for the RUclipsr "Gopher". He's got the best videos on every mod manager, manually installing mods, etc. Plus, he's a freaking awesome LP'er as well who specializes in, what else, Fallout and Elder Scrolls.
Hey Juice, thanks a lot for this video, I will try this out. Small suggestion for another mod that will help a lot for the inclusion of ebjects (even if not with 4k textures or models): Junkmaster. By now, is at Version 3.0. For short, is a whole armor and weapons overhaul, adding tons of new and exotic objects (new armors, weapons and even some consumables from the past...) and making some modifications to other already existing (Raider armor has been divided in Raider and Marauder, and there are also new versions for the combat and Trappers one)
Honestly I still haven’t used the settlement function. I never thought it fitted in with the fallout series it’s why I could never play a vanilla survival play through because you need settlements, but sim settlements has made it slightly more enjoyable than vanilla so thank you 👍
How does it not fit? The series is literally about society rebuilding after nuclear annihilation and facing the threats to those societies. The way they did it was flaming garbage but the concept is perfect for Fallout.
Now THIS is the video that was meant for me :D I'd already stumbled upon "We Are The Minutemen," but I'll happily check out more of these mods for my own use! I just want something that upgrades the core experience, ya know? (Of course you know, you did a twenty-two minute video on the subject. XD)
So I downloaded Eli’s and... WOW this mod is what I’ve been looking for in a clothing mod, not only do the outfits look amazing but there also lore friendly and arnt to weak or overpowerd 10/10 would recommend
I love this, as I come back from time to time to get this kind of lore-friendly experience but upgraded. I would love to play Sim Settlements, the problem for me is how hard it is to wrap my stupid head around.
Honestly, I had the same concern and its way easier than I thought it would be. It really is pretty simple and the videos posted by Kinggath on how to use it makes it that much easier. Definitely try it, it will change the experience so much.
Get all mods from thuggysmurf, so many more quests, big new locations, reform the institute, Sarah Lyons ousting Maxson, a teleportation network across the commonwealth, blow up diamond city if you want
At the start of the game, instead of fighting a deathclaw with power armor and a minigun, it should've been a rougue synth. It introduces you to the main plot and isn't ridiculous either. In the glowing sea there could've been a settlement of ghouls, as they were shunned in the Commonwealth by diamond city, the brotherhood, and probably the people as a whole. There could've been a wasteland legend kind of thing, and it would've given players a reason for going into the glowing sea other than Virgil and taking down albino deathclaws.
If I can make a recommendation. Institute Electro Lasers, is a fantastic mod that upgrades a faction and its astatic with one simple change. Honestly its one of those mods I just cant remove from my list, just such a big impact for so little memory. It changes the institute blue bulky behemoths, into an actual different weapon. Not only changing its efect to be more useful against mechanical enemies, but also going from lasers to bolts of eletricity. Seriusly cant tell you how much more entence it is to see lightning strike setting down a sinth patroller, and have bolts of energy searing past your screen, you’ll know the institute boogymen are here. Not to mention it takes an old weapon thats a fat version of the laser riffle and actually makes it a unique weapon... Realy question why the institute would recreate the wheel... poorly I might add....
I break my modes into 4 categories. I do not run anything that breaks the game, the lore, or the story. None of this makes it easier to play adds weapons and armor or even enemies that are not normally in the game, I think the menus, perks and speech wheel are fine. I will likely start improving the look of the critters but I have not yet. 1. Environments: These are mods like grass and tree mods, lightings, better weather, better water... I currently run Clarity, Darker Nights, No more twiggs, Regrowth Overhaul, True Grass, True Storms, Verdant Wasteland, Vivid Fallout - All in One, Enhanced Lights, and WET. 2. Settlement Building: These give me tons of new items for building settlements Creative Clutter, OC Decorator, Snap'N Build, Graf's Security Fence, CWSS Redux, Nuka-cola and Vim display racks, Scrap Everything, Snappy HouseKit, Workshop Rearrangement, and Unlimited Settlement Budget. 3. Game Improvements: This includes things like different menu, game physics, higher resolution maps... I run Chem Redux, High Resolution Texture Pack, Nuka Recipe Book Retexture, Satellite Maps 4K (Commonwealth, Far Harbor, and Nuka World), Zoom Out Extended World Map, Realistic Death Physics, andnShaikujin's Better Warning for Settlement Attacks. 4. Settlers: There are tons of things to improve NPC and Settler looks. Mods to make them not rush into hand to hand instantly, talk better, remove the dirty faces, make them more active, better variety of equipment, more facial options. There are also a bunch of different mods to make NPCs better looking and higher res. I run things like Busy Settlers, Unique Customizable Settlers, Less Aggressive Settlers, Settler and Companion Dialogue Overhaul, Better Settlers, Beautiful Female Settlers, AGCP Follower Makeover for Cat, Piper, and Curie, Desdemona Reimagined, Eyewear and Mask Retexture, Kirs Freckles, Lots more Facial Hair, Lots more Female Hairstyles, Lots More Male Hairstyles, Oni Cute Asian Face Parts, Ponytail Hairstyles by Azar, THBrows, and the Eyes of Beauty Fallout Edition.
@@gagne6928 I focus on appearance and settlements building and appearance wize the game looks really good. It would be cool to add some of the lighting effects from Fallout 76 to Fallout 4 as mods have taken everything else there already. I tried the Better Goodneighbor, but did not like it overall. Maybe they have made it better, but I did not like the fact they cluttered the streets with a bunch of old cars when those likely would have been used to improve the barrier around the town. He also added a bunch of little junk vendors, but you turned out just being able to sell a bunch more. I have been thinking about a backpack mod for realism, but I would not want to to add to the carry capacity as you already can carry so much stuff you would need a backpack that could fit a refrigerator inside of it and still have a little room left over. Plus I never do 3rd person, so it just seems a waste. NPC Travels would be a nice one. It would be cool if they interacted with your vendors and you could have extra beds you could rent out. It always bugged me that you are the only customer for almost all the vendors in the game and that your settlements have basically no use in the game but to store your junk. I like the idea of more travellers... especially as the game progresses.
@@toddabbott781 If you focus on settlement building, then you are missing like a few dozen building mods.... just saying. I basically only FO4 nowadays to build stuff and I run at least 50 workshop mods in my current load order.
Father Elijah (RIP) created the holorifle. It's not technically lore friendly for it to be in the Commonwealth unless Elijah started mass-producing them and handing them out before his death. Still, I love having it in FO4 lol.
My mod idea for today: Power armory: this adds prototype power armor models to the game that would make sense to exist For example in the base game there's T45 T51 and T60 So this mod would add earlier models like T01 T25 T30
I'd like to sugest the Zap rifle as well it ads a Early to Mid late game laser rifle that looks slapdash and hand made like the raiders have made their own with what ever scrap they found laying about. it also integrates to the leveld lists and is awalible on xbox as well as pc through the in game mod manager.
Survival options is awesome combined with combined AI and stealth mods. You can make it so you and NPC's die from just few hits totally changing how you play the game. AI is smarter, stealth more realistic and you die faster. You can't just go in and start shooting without any plan most of time. Or just go in and sneak without plan :D
Does the broken bottle weapon and the Nuka Breaker you show around the 2:40 mark come with the Wasteland Imports mod, or are they from a different mod?
Thanks a bunch man! FO4 is one of my "go to" games for when I'm bored. I've got 800+ hours into it and, there's just a lot to be desired in the base game, but at the same time the modding community feels like they just go in the opposite direction and don't really address the core game. Yeah we get a few mods here and there that do, but not enough to change things up and make the world more realistic/believable... it's mainly slooty mods and weapon mods. Now if only someone would tackle the fact that the wooden shack structures make 0 freaking sense in terms of their construction, I'd be a lot happier with the base game and, would actually mess around with settlement mode more.

The proof that everyone's best friend should have been vanilla is the fact that 'healing dogmeat' is an unique affinity action with a few followers. And Dogmeat is vastly different from all other followers.
I loved South of the Sea when I played it on the Xbox One, even though it did take up about half of my mod space. I just hope they update the Xbox version soon. They've neglected it since January of last year. I really want to see all the new things they've created!
Thank you for the recommendations, what you said about the Instatute is totally true. I agree that, they have such a grate new technologys but they using those weak weapons, fearthermore I never understand why don't they use weapons with rad effect. In the lore syths are immune against the atomic radiation so seems logical that they would untalize that in combat.
And the best part is most of these mods are on Xbox One
But most of them haven't been updated in years. Which means they most likely are full of bugs or glitches due to updates to FO4 via Creation Club.

Thanks again for putting together this modlist, I hope someone also finds the linked mods useful too.
NPCs travel is a solution for variety in ps4, but xbox and pc should avoid it because incompatibilities with A LOT of mods
I love modding this game. Just got done with my winter survival playthrough. Now I’m gona turn it into a fast paced shoot me up like doom.
Great video, you have put me on mods recently and i love it. Thanks for the work you do
Very good video, JuiceHead. Thanks so much for your hard work. I for sure will be downloading some of these!
interesting video
my favourite is npcs travel
improves the game by a lot imho
I feel like u could throw in some enemy faction mods like raider overhaul n the merc gunner one, maybe some of the added interior mods. This is almost exactly how I play fo4, love this list
Great video, I will definitely use a few of these mods. Thanks and keep up the good work man
Show me a mod that lets me put Mama Murphy in a full set of Junkie power armor and recruit her as a companion
I usually find a mod on ur list I don't like but this one I love on them thanks juice
This is perfect I've never really played Fo4 and now that I have great hardware I can finally play and want the vanilla-ish experience.
It's been almost 5 years since I last played fallout 4, i just picked it up today on the PC and i cant wait to relive that part of my teenage years
a really cool weapon mod is Satojomov Armory. basically, instead of adding new weapons to the game, it adds new attachments and conversions to most base-game weapons. its one of my favorites.
I was watching through this video to make an updated modlist without missing some of the old good ones and i heard you say, "i could probably make an hour long video with just lore-friendly weapons."
You should. That seems like a really enjoyable video to watch as a fallout gun-nut and it seems like it would give you some probably really enjoyable research time into a whole category of mods. Also everyone always tries to find cool weapon mods for their new playthrough, so it should be a popular video? maybe?
I love how non-chalantly slow the Wattz-3000 reload is
I would love to but I’ve never modded on pc from nexus. Can anyone recommend a video to help me download mods from nexus? Or just help in general?
Check out Gopher! He showcases installation steps, and puts out standalone tutorial videos ruclips.net/p/PLE7DlYarj-Dc9DITuQ4OSjy5kYvcYxy1V
Look for the RUclipsr "Gopher". He's got the best videos on every mod manager, manually installing mods, etc. Plus, he's a freaking awesome LP'er as well who specializes in, what else, Fallout and Elder Scrolls.
Sugar thanks!
Kurtis Haren thanks for the help! Been tryna get mods for a while
@@jaydendonofrio2487 nexus mod manager is a good start but i recommend you move on to better mod managers when you become familiar
Thanks for this. Theres some good mods in here that I previously iverlooked.
2 small but highly effective mods are instant headshots and lockable doors, especially lockable doors thats a game changer
Ive lowkey been waiting for this! YOU MY BOY JUICE
Those are great ideas
Thanks?
Aaaaaaaaaand here we go, adding more mods to my already 222 mod list in making Fallout 4 Stalker inspired
How is juice STILL bringing out fresh videos after all this time?
Crazy...
Installing Mosin Nagant would make the ultimate experience.
14:32 WHOA HOLD IT. Where'd you get that gun?
Sim settlements chucked straight in there shocker
21:26 DEAR GOD WHAT IS THAT
its ur mum
Nice vid. Just what I was looking for.
I’ll have to check out some of these mods, especially the Minutemen, Children of Atom, and Super Mutant mods.
I love mod lists like this. Thanks!
this is a banger vid, im gonna have to make some esp space for all these wonderful mods
My mod idea for today:
Power armory: this adds prototype power armor models to the game that would make sense to exist
For example in the base game there's T45 T51 and T60
So this mod would add earlier models like T01 T25 T30
Intreasting
What sucks is you can't even have half of these on the Xbox because of size limit
This list has really helped me bring my FO4 game up to the same standard that my Skyrim SE game is at. Especially pack attack and NPCs travel.
2:38 So he actually tried the Pip Boy 2000 mod, that's cool. I wonder what he thinks of it compared to the Pip Pad mod.
9/10!
Pip Boy 2000 Xbox one? 😢🙏
@@sjwalita2600 I don't think so since it requires Script Extender. Here's the link to the pc mod though if you're curious.

Juice Head: Says 'China Lake'
Me: *Black Ops 1 Zombies Flashbacks*
You featured some time ago a mod that you used to merge bunch of mods together, i think you mentioned 250+ mods getting smoothly bunched up together, I've been trying to find that tool but i just can't remember the name of your video, what was it Juicehead?
Thank you for making this video, I've been looking for a video that add more to fallout 4 rather than remake the game from the ground up. Hopefully most of these mods work on xbox one.
Bravo very well needed on your channel boss🙏🏻. Some of us just like fallout 4 and want it in a better state.
7/10 Thank you
So I've seen a lot of your mods vids and you never mention Modern Firearms (That I've seen, anyway...). Do you not like it? Have an alternate that you use? I find it hard to believe that they would survive 200 years, but still prefer modern weapons... So what is your preferred mod?
The proof that everyone's best friend should have been vanilla is the fact that 'healing dogmeat' is an unique affinity action with a few followers. And Dogmeat is vastly different from all other followers.
Some assembly required is my favourite mod that I have downloaded
21:26 Nice brown face glitch there
Juice: talks about the strength difference between mutants and humans but kills them in 3 shots...
Pack attack is no longer there. Any ideas anybody?
I liked South of The Sea but eventually you try to explore a certain destination and the game crashes.. Everytime you try to go there, boom.
Bro you should make a gun video showcasing all the guns he uses during gameplay
Ty juice for all your vids
finally a mod that makes Nuka world raids actually challenging
I wish they had more Super Mutant mods for fallout 4. Like giving Vim! to Super Mutants to make them friendly/recruitable as settlers.
Dude I have to admit, your thumbnails look so modded and awesome but your actual game looks so Vanilla!
You have Cross Break Avtion Laser listed twice in the description. Awesome video though
I loved South of the Sea when I played it on the Xbox One, even though it did take up about half of my mod space. I just hope they update the Xbox version soon. They've neglected it since January of last year. I really want to see all the new things they've created!
This was a great video! Thanks!
Looks like I have some modding to do!
SOTS has Church of Atom in it as a part of the mod for a while now. Use SOTS or Church separate, or download and endorse both but install SOTS.
I must say this was a badass video bro
