Believe it or not, I heard this for the very first time at Trader Joe's, in San Francisco, about two weeks ago. It was playing over their PA system (they can have some pretty good music at times). The instrumental intro caught my ear, and I tried to "grab" a lyric, lingering long enough to remember until I got home (Boys in the better what???). My hearing/memory was adequate enough to get me through to Fontaines DC, and this song. Perhaps not the most original, etc. but what the heck....good sound, good times.

Been listen to music from up and coming Irish bands for 35 years this is one of the best bands out of Ireland in the past ten years.Reminds me of the excitement of hearing the likes of the Radiators, the blades, Cactus world news and of course the great Aslan for the first time.Any Info of where they are playing in Ireland?
@Christy Dolan Great call on Whipping Boy, definitive the lead singer has a bit of his delivery. It's cause I reckon they both sing in their own accents, none of this faux American vocal's that seem to have plagued Irish music scene for years. Heartworm still one of the best Irish albums you are likely to hear. Just great to hear just something different with a bit of kick to it, besides the shallowness of Kodaline and that lark and posh acoustic wobblers that seem to have drenched the charts over here for years now.
@Christy Dolan Shocking shite, Tough to find great Irish albums over the years, I'm in my mid 30's and nothing much has impressed me from these isles through the years. I thought The Thrill's So Much for The City was a cracking album, but they were copying a load of bands I liked and they were doing American faux vocals but it was rarer back then. Was a big fan of Ash, 1977 and Free All Angels are great. Whipping Boy Heartworm is great as well. Pugwash are a underrated band. Had a soft spot for Relish debut album. Damien Dempsey first few albums are great. But that's it for me with Irish albums that impressed me. Until Fontaines DC came along.

Waterford. All Together Now festival. Saw them last year at Forbidden Fruit in a tent, brilliant gig.
I'm a sucker for guys with accents. Especially when they own it. Damn you Ireland!! :)
Masterpiece!!! Incredible Punk Rock Song!!!
