- Sky News contributor Gary Hardgrave has blasted “evil” rent-seekers who want to “bludge off the rest of us”.
Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan, on Monday, addressed the state’s Yoorook Justice Commission.
“The same thing is happening in Queensland - they’ve got this kind of pathway to treaty after 70 per cent of Queenslanders voted emphatically no,” Mr Hardgrave told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“They know it’s the rent-seekers who want this, and they’re just going to bludge off the rest of us.
“They’re trying to create a crisis that frankly doesn’t exist.
“This is evil, it is evil, and we’ve got to call it out for that.”
The truth is Australia would have been invaded by someone else if the British didn't do so first.

People put labour or liberal high because they're worried if they don't then their vote won't count.... but that's the wrong way to think about it, all you need to do is put liberal above labour or vice versa even if they're 9th and 10th it doesn't matter, then put who you actually think best represents you as preference 1 and 2 and 3 and 4... put the major parties as low down the sheet as possible, just make sure you put your preferred major party above the other major party and your vote will still count.

My landlords were good with rent increases until they wanted their property back for their daughter 5 yrs after renting it to me.
I didnt bother applying for another as a disability pensioner who had to quit my part time job after losing my place either. I do miss it. It was a very attractive modern place. Nicest ive ever lived in. The area suited me well. Suburban with a small town feel but with more anonimity and lots of nature is my jam. I had that for 5 years there. Priced out the market there and mostly everywhere now except roxby mt gambier whyalla and othher places ive never even heard of let alone know where they are and i dont drive also. So non public transport areas in woop woop i can afford not really suitable for me either.
For now i stay with family and store my stuff (shutting storage down and ditching most my shit soon as national storage are crooks) Put my storage costs up $50 in the first 6 months. More thsn my landlord did in 5 years. Could have bought all the stuff i have stored again new for the money ive paid them in the past 7 months.
When ive has enough of my famy and need to be alone i rent a hotel room or executive apartment for the weekend to get away.
Its expensive as so cant do it often but man its nice to walk in pay and then walk out 2 days later with no further responsibilities or issues.
No inspections. No bond cleaning required. No lulling into a false sense of security thst this is your home and you have rights.So long as you dont trash the place and you paid for your stay youre free to go.
So refreshing. Id never have been able to do it if i was still renting and paying all my money in rent.
Its been a cool experience in some ways. And very freeing. Believe it or not.
Im thankful for the experience. And im planning my next booking. Taking the godkids to glenelg and booking an executive apartment with beach views and taking the. to the beschhouse once winter is over. Its so expensive at that time of year it will take me that long to pay for it.
Should be a blast though and alteast the kids can get what they asked for or as close as i can give them to it...which is to stay at my place.

Soon the increase in our population from the astonishing increase in immigration will reflect in our lack of planning for infrastructure - hospitals, schools, roads, dams, doctors, ambulance and all the rest of it. It is already reflected in the rental and housing costs.

Where I come from the return on an investment is normally related to the value of that investment. The value could be its money value or its scarcity value. It is as simple as that. What else could it possibly be and be fair and reasonable to all parties. There is a market value existing. I cannot afford or I am too old is simply a non related problem not actually directly related or indeed involved, that is poor past planning or whatever.
Don't worry, the Chinese PLA will, like the seventh cavalry come in at the last moment to save Australia for themselves.

Why give negative gearing and capital gains tax discount incentives on one hand and then charge a land tax on the other? Why not scrap them both?
The reason is they don't want transparency, what they want is for people to become investors coz then they will vote to keep the negative gearing perk that highly paid politicians value so much.

My daughter in law has one, l have said nothing. When i saw it she said she has not seen another one on the road. Also, in this particular notice how the novice pilots despite having tone and lock were not confident in their orders or their ability to evade the intercepts from across the border in route onto their positions. As such they opted to abort rather than take on the enemy aircraft. Pilots should not be entering a combat situation with fuzzy orders derived from a supposed NATO Rapid Response Drill nor taking on an unexpected enemy without rules of engagement. Had a Jstar been present both of these items would have been cleared and confused units would have returned while compromised units remained in engaged. Remember It’s not the combat aircraft that determines success in Ace Combat necessarily but the logistical support that goes along with it which are usually reserved only for USAF use.
