- Sky News host Rowan Dean says the South Australian Labor government’s decision to push ahead with a state-based Voice has “backfired”.
Mr Dean described it as an “embarrassment for Labor”.
“We all voted against the Voice but no Labor … thinks it knows better,” he said.
“Just over nine per cent of Indigenous Australians in South Australia turned out to vote following a resounding no vote in the federal referendum.”
Liberal MLC Ben Hood joined Sky News hosts Rowan Dean, Rita Panahi and James Morrow to discuss South Australia’s state-based Voice.
Big middle finger to the SA Voice by the legendary Australian Aboriginals! Well done brothers and sisters!
I love ❤️ South Australia.
Good on ya from Western Australia.
But as usual the Labor party won’t listen to the indigenous people and push ahead which what they tell them they should have!
The Representative for Central Adelaide Moogy Sumner

Good on you from NSW
We voted No to apartheid
No to racism
No to the Voice
...and vote NO, to undemocratic practices.
You voted "No" to a Voice enshrined in the Australian Constitution!!
@@ralphmogridge8364 ...and why did they do that? What were their reasons for voting, "No", to that proposal? If you ask people, you'll find they are largely the same reasons, for their rejection of these state sponsored initiatives.
Alternatively, perhaps you prefer being an out of touch lefty, increasingly dependent on support from inner-city, champagne socialists and an Islamic community preaching homophobia and misogyny with 10 times the vigour of Tony Abbott.
I doubt I've told you anything that you did not already know. So, stop feigning ignorance and just say what you really wanted to say.
...and they're trying to force all three on you anyway.
@@ralphmogridge8364 Why did they vote that way?
This could not be a clearer sign of how useless the Voice is when when not even the aboriginal people are willing to participate in it
The REAL aboriginal people i would listen to, not fake one's, mayo , pasco.etc

Don't forget Pearson, that grifter who lives in the most caucasian place in Oz. Wouldn't want to get any red dirt on his hat!!
What doesn’t our governments understand about the word “No”… 60 percent of Australian voters voted no.
Come on Australia vote these socialist/ communist out.
Labor continues to humiliate themselves all around the country. South Australians said NO, and now South Australia’s Aboriginal population have also said NO.
It was for a Representative not a Yes or No why are you people so thick

Everyone is hurting because of the food cartels, the bank cartels, the fuel cartels, we are being gouged everywhere and these corporate scum are posting huge profits everywhere while record numbers of aussies are being pushed to the poverty line and Labor can only focus on some ridiculous ideological crap that 30 billion a year every year cant fix. Very true, and as for the Greens, they listen to the little voices in their heads.
Shameful waste of taxpayers money..
The list of reasons to vote labor out just got bigger!
Why can't Labor except NO is NOOOOOO Simple as that.
Because the UN won't accept NO! And the UN will keep knoring away until they have Australia girt by sea firmly in their NWO grip.

Yes, spell it out. South Australia is not a democracy any more. Banana republic of South Australia.
Nooo, not really. It shows we are a strong democratic federation of states and not a republic. That's what Labor wants. To turn us into a Republic. So Alt Albo can write all these far left idealistic dreams into an executive order. Because he will be El Presidente. So I guess there's more than a bit of blue sky out of all of this. It also shows that our indigenous community has as little faith in their own that represent them as we do in ours
Be careful for what you wish for . Australia is not a democracy , it's a Constitutional Monarchy although our unlawful politicians and parliaments don't care . Read our Constitution . The Commonwealth Of Australia Constitution Act 1900 ( UK ) , the red cover not the fake green one .

What seems to be totally forgotten or ignored, by the SA state government is that a lot of ABORIGINAL people voted NO in the Referendum? Perhaps that's why they didn't vote in the state state based voice, as they don't want it. And how will a couple of hundred Activists voted in. Represent approximately 300 different tribes that have their own elders and decision making process. You talk about being arrogant, SA PREMIER is off the charts with his arrogance. We all voted and the answer was NO for good reasons. ABORIGINAL people will be poorly represented by this.

What is going in Australia=fullstop =beyond banana Republic
Labor may keep on pushing this BS and we keep mocking its failures BUT people keep voting labor into power!…
The same is coming for albo and his clown show
It was classed as a failure as a State referendum because it saw an abysmal 8.7 percent turnout of the 30,000 people who were eligible to vote, but only 2,583 formal ballots were cast
Voting was voluntary and only open to South Australia's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population
But those elected despite the poor turnout were joyous declaring we're the first jurisdiction to create … a First Nations Voice,"
Many in SA would beg to differ in a state in which the ABC coverage of the Federal Voice Referendum took just 54 minutes to declare almost 65% of the state voters voted NO, the second highest of the nation voting States
And how many Torres Strait Islanders live in SA? It's all part of a narrative that when put to the test just doesn't stack up.
'Elected' is a loose term if they got in on only 6 votes for some, zero for others. Madness.

The Indigenous are well known for their low voter turnout. It's why it is easy for activists to capture the perception they are representing Indigenous issues.
it's easier to complain then actually do anything about it. Being heard is more important than closing the gap, we would lose prominence if that happened.
