    How to Weave or Tucking in Floats Stranded Knitting and/or Fair Isle knitting. Those pesky floats of yarn can get in the way so why not tuck or weave them in as you knit? That's right, with a few extra movements you can tuck away those floats in your stranded knitting project or fair isle sweater.
    Once you get the rhythm down, you will not have to think too hard about the motion. Don't believe me? Give it a try. Grab some yarn and needles and let's do this together!

    Thank you, thank you, thank you! I looked through many videos, and yours is the most easily understood as well as being concise. After following along a few times, I was able to pick up the techniques and am now confidently working my way through a fair isle sweater.

    Hello Marly, thank you so much for this VERY cleary demonstration of how to weave in the yarn with 2-hands-method. This was a miracle, a mystery for me😆😆 I tried it, surely, but the yarn had its " seperat way of life"...😂😆. Now I will start again with your video for help. Some weeks ago I tried the english or french way to knit with yarn in both hands. O.k., with ONE colour I've got it. Now I will do it with 2 colours.
    Thank you again, all the best for you and the people you love! Have a good time!! GittaLloreley from Germany🍀😇😇🍀🌈💞

    Great instructional video. Perfect speed for me to follow along. Question, how or even would this work for 3 or more colors? I am having a hard time keeping tension in my 3 color stranded knitting. Thanks!

    Do we always carry yarn ? Even if you do a row in the one color .?

    I have huge tension problem when I try fair isle. Even though I try I always end up with a less stretchy fabric which is particularly a problem in a hat. So, would you recommend to use this tecnique to hide the yarn at every single stich?

    Catching the float's is slowing me down. Do I have to catch them. With the pattern I only have 30 stitches in the middle of a different color. I tried joining the wool but I get big ugly holes.

    That is great, thanks! (Would it work if you do that wrap on every stitch with the yarn that is not being used, thus eliminating all floats, or would that make it too bulky?

    • @MarlyBird
      @MarlyBird  4 года назад +1

      It wouldn't turn out the way you think. There is something called Jacquard knitting but it is completely different.
