Beautiful ❤️I need to watch it in slow motion. I am new to knitting. You amaze me. I love it. Thank you.
Wow,this made such a difference! Not to have all that mess in the back thank you!! THANK YOU!!
Glad it helped!
Oh my goodness... this is sooo cool. Thank you for showing us this technique. I'm a new knitter and I totally understand your way of teaching. Thank you... thank you... thank you...
Omg I LOVE this technique to keep from having long floats. Can’t wait to try this hat! 😀
I love this hat! Thank you for sharing!😊 you are a very good instructor!
I like that cast on and join, thanks for teaching me something new!
I'm watching this as a serious knitting beginner (experienced crocheter) and your tips for the colorwork to avoid long floats in the back and how to join in the round are awesome. However, it seems that there is a gap after the first round of colorwork. timestamp 11:44. You say in the video to complete the first round as demonstrated, then do 1 round with just the main color. When you come back, you have already completed the 2nd round of colorwork with no instruction on how to do that. I'm looking at the pattern which is linked and I'm hoping I can decode the instructions (not much of a pattern reader and rely on videos) to make this happen. Fingers crossed for me!
Did you figure it out? I'm confused now too
@@HandleToWatch sorry - no! The instructor never replied and since I do this for relaxation, I bailed and moved on to something else. Life is too short to be aggravated by a hobby! I had forgotten about this and will have to take another look to see if it's still not making sense to me. Good luck!
Beautiful hat I'm going to try and make one thank you for sharing your tutorial !
You're welcome, thanks so much for commenting! Did you get to make your hat yet?
Beautiful
Lovely! Thank you for all that you do! ☺️
07:36 starts fair isle
Thank you for q clear tutorial
Sorry I’m totally new to fair isle after your first row and you go into the 2nd row with just the color A what do you do with your accent tail? And then to pick it up wouldn’t you have a long float to row 3?
Minas Gerais-Brasil!
I know I may be silly but I can't find where to click for pattern
Hi, I was wondering if you need to increase four times on a row with 60 stitches shouldn't you do 14 stitches and then an increase stitch?
Very pretty!
A question: why do you have to increase on the first knit row?
The brim generally would be too loose, compared to the width of the hat, so having less stitches on the brim offsets that.
@@GoodKnitKisses I see. Thanks you!
I really need to practice. I want to make this, but I'll throw it across the room since I can just barely cast on!
Oh No! Did you practice your cast ons and attempt this pattern yet?
No, I went back to crochet since I didn't have enough time to sit and practice. Maybe this winter? 😵
84 on 7 is too much for me 63 on 6 is my best so 8z i could do 40 some is it 4 or 8 stitches we need 44 or 48 possible?
Hey, thanka for the video. How do you do the magic loop? Do you have a video for this? My needles are far too big for the size hat i want to knit (the hat will be for a one year old)
Hi Kristen! I was wondering if it is possible to do the magic loop technique and fair isle at the same time? Unfortunately, I only have 32" needles
Sure! I’ve done that.
Dear Good Knit Kisses, do you have a video for loom knitting , this same hat with little hearty shapes ?
Yes but I have been really delayed making a video on it. I'll update this comment here though when I get the video up. So Sorry for the delay there just aren't enough hours in the days.
Loom info please ?
Hi there, how would I make this for a 1.5 year old?
How much of color B did you use? I have a partial ball of a color I would like to use as the accent color but not sure how much I would need.
Oh gosh now i wish i had weighed that skein. Sorry i can't say.
Can you make this hat with a very thick rib because that’s usually what I do with hats
Sure! So Sorry for the delay. Eek! It will just appear bulkier on the ribbing though.
What length circular needles allows you to not have to switch to DPNs? I'm currently making a hat on 16" and was planning to switch, but then saw this video where you didn't switch. I'm a fairly new knitter so a little confused.
A16"needle is the best length for most hats knit in the round
How can this be done on the loom?
Yes but I have been really delayed making a video on it. I'll update this comment here though when I get the video up. So Sorry for the delay there just aren't enough hours in the days.
because I can't needle knit, should I just do the cowl and close the bottom for the hat? I tried to convert from needles to loom and it was just way too confusing :( I'm very disappointed.
never mind, looks like the cowl is for needles as well .
Did you end up making this on the loom? I just haven't gotten to that project on video yet with all the other projects planned. SO Sorry for the delay
