Fifi yeah I think she was referring to baekhyun when she said that. Honestly exo’s voices like individually are so unique. Some are deep. Some are high pitched. Some sound much more fuller even though they aren’t deep. It’s just interesting.

Same. I can't seem to get tired of it even though I've listened to it like a thousand times.
because it really does sounds very "exo-ish" ?? same, def one of my favorites
same through sound alone or with the meaningful lyrics/mv, it's one of the most memorable songs this year, which is curious because it's rather simple. But it's good. It gives you a break from some of the over production that you find in kpop. I like both, but Young is a welcomed break.

Each member of EXO have unique talents. Baekhyun have awesome vocal. Sometimes his vocal can be soft, sometimes it can be explosive, emotional, full of melody. He is very talented boy.

The MV is about going in circles and always doing the same thing everyone expects you to do.
Going in siecles brings us nowhere.
At the end Baek went out and he also didn't make a perfect ball like it was expected, he did his own thing. One can also see a blank paper and a "imperfect" clot on his chair. He didn't make it to a ball like the screen instructed them to do. And he also didn't drow circles like everyone else did on their papers.
There is also the metabor with the colours.
The colours represent different individual personalities, but since everyone is going in circles, the individual colours get mixed together and became one brown monotone standard.
Don't forget that the "young" just slept after doing what they were instructed to do. Like in a Matrix. Baek decided to stand up and to take another unknown path.
Not going in circles and always, doing the same thing everyone expects you to do.
It's okay to do things the way you want it to do, because you are young and still have the opportunity to do so. Explor new ways, because there will come a day you can't do it anymore.

One thing that i appreciate about musicians react is that they can point out connections between the composition of the song to the lyrics or music video where as the usual fan would only be able to notice connections between the lyrics and music video. It’s like there’s a whole other layer to the music that everyone misses out on.

Talking about the dirty synth as a fan oscillating is a great observation too - it has a rotary quality all the way through, kind of organic and yet at the same time incredibly mechanical, as with the rest of the song
So glad this song gets the appreciation it deserves tbh absolutely beautiful production- I couldn’t find out who produced it, but whoever did did a fantastic job
The video is one of my absolute favourites too it’s just wonderful, in both a textual and like meta-textual sense (film student here lmao). One day I’ll write an essay about how much I love this song lmao
Loco is also a crazy underrated rapper - I’d recommend his other stuff, like check out Don’t that he did with Hwasa of Mamamoo!
If you ever do write an essay on it, let me know. I love what you've written here and would love to read a more in-depth analyses over the whole thing.

the collab of 2018 👏👏 2 of my favorite voices/people: baekhyun, who literally has one of the most velvet-y voices, and then loco who literally has such a unique way of rapping & such a nice voice. their voices matched so well, especially /w the style & concept they were going for.
