They have too much soul, blues, jazz into their melodies..., literally, instant full body goosebumps 😭🥵 😰...They need to be studied fr and then Suho, Xiumin and C(I do want to butcher his name, I know how to say... The main giant rapper😂 Chanyh..) are qualified vocalists whose talent surpasses lead vocalists in other groups💯... Kai, Sehum, can also hold their own, ... Name any other group that has even half of that?? Even our Seventeen Boys, with that amazing vocal line... are probably on Suho, Xiumin and C level💯, Our BTS too, none of their 4 main vocalists can touch that top 3 tier💯 NCT... 😢 Okay there... We might have to give it to Tael👍... He is on his way, Doyoung and Heachan too... , But that Tael ... He is another anomaly😂 in the best way possible, same as ATEEZ's Jongho... they are toooo unique... like those kind of gifted geniuses that only appears once in generations💯.... Kpop is truly Blessed💐😭💯... Those 2... might hold their own with the top 3 EXO top tier.🥺.. Maybe. BTOB, vocally are strong too, and let's not forget EXO SM Sunbeas, Superior Junior and Shinee💐. And YG Deasang and Teayang oppas💐...JYP...maybe Rain, who is the top vocalist in SKZ, anf Got 7? Can they outsing that EXO triple threat? Chen, Baekyun and D.O... are untouchable, they really are.
Those are called lightsticks. Each fandom has their own lightstick. They're an important part of live performances! They are usually bluetooth capable so they all sync up at live performances often changing colors with the mood of the song or going along with the beat.
Anyway, I would say EXO is more of a standard boyband. I don't mean that in a bad way either, I just mean they are more vocal focused than BTS. Personally I'm ARMY, but I do enjoy EXO as well. They're generally regarded as rival groups but I think most of the time the people who get into that too heavily probably need to sign off for a little while and realize it's music :) EXO is very talented vocally. Kai, who is a member of EXO, has some of the best solo songs in kpop in my opinion. If you want to check him out, I would look up Kai - Mmmh. If you were a fan of 90s r&b, you'll love that song.

EXO has 9 members. Their songs have different number of members because they released & are releasing albums while other members were/are in the military. Lay the Chinese member is not actively participating in EXO but he is still a member.
Yes, EXO is tasty 😂 top tier vocal with huge discography (12 years in active since their debut) They have 9 members & during 'Obsession', 2 members went for military service.
U can check EXO 'Let Me In'. Their rap is different in that song.

I have watched your BTS reactions, whose origins are rap. EXO is all about vocals (inc Rap) any genre they will have it covered. This group has no visual, vocal, or dance weaknesses. This is a group that a massive fandom that has waited since 2019 for a live concert due to staggered military enlistment. Their live concerts even today set the standard that many groups follow today. So whatever else avoid comparisons. BTS and EXO are apples and oranges. They serve diff audiences

I wasn't into Kpop at all until I heard EXO by chance 11 months ago. I happily went down the rabbit hole. I appreciate all Kpop now, but love stanning EXO. I see you reacted to D.O., who's part of EXO's main vocal line (one of the best ever in kpop).
Please add their medley in their Dingo's Killing Voice appearance to your list, as well as classics Call Me Baby, Tempo, Monster and the pre-debut What Is Love. The latest are Let Me In, Hear Me Out and Cream Soda off last year's Exist album.
They all have successful solo careers with various styles. Try Baekhyun's Bambi, Chen's Empty, Suho's Zero Gravity, D.O.'s Mars, Chanyeol's Good Enough, Xiumin's Brand New, Sehun's On Me, Kai's Mmmh, Lay's Lit.
I you prefer it live: Intro+The Eve+Forever, Mama+Monster+Wolf, "Drop That" live in Japan or their legendary "Love Shot" performance at the 2018 SBS Kpop Awards.

You should watch the music video for EXO's Tempo. It is a phenomenal song and production that is really wild. I'd like to hear your comments on it. That short "break" that you mentioned is the bridge before the last chorus. It's fairly common in EXO's songs. Check out Tempo and you'll see what I mean. Thanks for the reaction, I enjoyed it.

You might find it interesting to know their core is R&B but they delve into many many different styles and genres. There were 12 members to start in 2012 and now currently 9members strong. All but 2 have solo albums, and there are two EXO sub Units, EXO-CBX and EXO-SC. Also, SuperM is another group that two of the EXO members are a part of. They have lives, dance practices, cover songs, SM Stations and OST's. So much to dive into.

Yess. The Korean syllables work so well in rap. I believe they have softer sounds. It’s a pretty sounding language IMO. I think it’s what makes the transitions to the English language parts be seamless.

You just found treasure. EXO are the best of the best. They are king of vocals and harmonies. They have a crazy good versatile discography where most of the b-sides are just as good as their title tracks. In addition to the group discography being amazing the solo projects of most of the members is great too. Generally, when people discover EXO they become a favourite group right away. Give it a few more listening and I predict it will be the case with you too 🙂
Nice reaction with technical points. The harmony of the group is great, smoothly switching from lead vocals to second voicing to rapping. It looks easy when they sing, but I see fewer groups who can perform well both vocally and with intricate choreography. EXO’s discography spans 12 years, originally with 12 members, now officially 9. Currently, 2 members are still enlisted in the military; the rest are pursuing solo careers in their own companies. Their names are Xiumin, Suho, Lay, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, and Sehun. LAST FLIGHT OUT is my favorite PLUS ONE song. It's actually one of my all time fave songs. I love the melody and I love the lyrics. I am a 90s kid so I know Plus One. It just happened that I fell so hard with this super duper amazing band called, EXO, that's why I am here. And, no, I am not that old, hahaha!

As well as EXO's Tempo and Killing Voice, there's a live video from a concert about 6 years ago, EXO Acoustic Session + Lady Luck (plus a few more) that really shows their live singing and performing skills.
This kind of reaction is what i like for EXO songs. The appreciation of the music, the vocals, the style and singing techniques, not just the visuals. I'd love to see more. If Obsessions' bridge sounds like a different song remixed into it, what about watch TEMPO next?

I don't know if it is possible to react to this on your channel, I'm not a reactor and don't know the guild lines. But I think you will enjoy this....this is a cover ( in English) between Exo's Chen and a singer from a group called N.Flying. I love both Exo and N.Flying but find this especially lovely because it is rare that korean singers record outside their own language. I highly recommend you check out N.Flying at some point too. N.Flying is a 5 member band but three members are in the military so only Lee SeungHyub and Yoo HweSeung (the second vocal in this video) are promoting the group at the moment.

Many are saying that he should check out their Killing Voice or other live performances, but I truly think Nathan would appreciate EXO more if he first reacted to some of their MV like Love Shot, Tempo or KoKoBop. He is a producer and generally very interested in well-produced music and very classy boy band songs. EXO is such a great kpop group, he should first get to know them through some of their classics and then react to their vocal skills.

Great reaction! Loved your expertise. EXO is the absolute best in vocals, choreography, visuals, harmony, ad libs, vibrato, blending, showmanship, staging, niceness-did I miss anything. I’m sure other commenters have flooded you with suggestions. Wolf is one I think you would really like. And El Dorado. Cream Soda, their latest. Virtually anything live and in concert.
If you’re looking for new artists to you, I strongly, enthusiastically, wholeheartedly suggest Dimash. He’s a 30 year old singer from Kazakhstan and his vocals and vocal abilities are other worldly. He’s my next favorite artist after EXO. Suggest SOS(my favorite is the first time most of us heard him and could not believe what we were hearing - from 2017 Chinese Competition The Singers. ) then his newest is When I’ve Got You. His fans the Dears will love you.
They are amazing vocalists as exo and as individual artists. Exo members can cover any of their vocalists if needed.
everyone it’s already telling you to watch killing voice but I also suggest to watch the music videos for tempo and monster I think those are like really good introduction to EXO as a group and you must also watch their ballads because they are amazing!!!

Exo holds the fastest selling out record in the whole world which is sold out concert tickets within 0.2 second. They're known as the kings of live performances.
Exo are a 9 members group.
I'd recommend you check out LET ME IN, TEMPO and GROWL by EXO.
For solo songs, MIRAGE OF FLOWER by CHEN, ALL I GOT by BAEKHYUN, 1TO3 BY SUHO and MMMH BY KAI. I promise you'd be enjoying these.
And since you wanna explore other industries, maybe check out LIT by Lay. It's Chinese pop. Though Lay is also a member of EXO.

You can’t go wrong diving deeper into EXO. They’re amazing at singing, rapping and dancing with such rich voices. Some of my favourites from them are:

and you’ve GOT to react to Mama. It’s the most over the top debut and it’s so great.
If you’re looking for other K-pop bands, for vocals you should check out BTOB. For more full package dancing singing and rapping, you can’t go wrong with Seventeen. Both of their killing voices are great places to start.
EXO 🔥
EXO are one of the most important bands in Korea. Their song growl was jokingly called the national anthem and everyone knows it. EXO are one of the bands who have not only the amazing talents but also have a huge variety of music to enjoy 😊 it's never a waste of time if you want to look for good vocals and a fun variety of music. Like you I'm not a huge fan of rap but through EXO I learned that rap is not only about dissing and calling out bad words to hurt someone (which is happening in my country) it's refreshing to hear and see.
In loop you can so much good music tho. If you want rock \Band vibes you can react to FT ISLAND, cnblue, day6 or the rose
If you want ballads there are BtoB, Paul Kim, Chen (a member of exos solo work), IU or Sam Kim
If you want party vibes there is Super Junior, Big Bang, Psy
If you want a whole variety of music then I suggest you check out EXO, Stray Kids or Ateez more. They are in my opinion the groups with the most part of music at the moment

Plz react to exo more. You will see how different their rappers are from other groups. They always add vibe to the song, according to the beat and feels of the song. They dont so the usual rap or just the agressive style. Their discography is so diverse. Obsession lives are insane. one is Exo-XExo live stage misx. You will be blown away. It is a mix of two stage performances one with Exo concept amd other with counter ego X-Exo as the concept of the song is like that. The director planned the camera angles so accurately for the two shows.

Chanyeol the main rapper can sing...as a fact even if Chen,Baekhyun and D.O(who wasn't on this video, nor Xiumin cause they were serving in the army), are the main vocalist and the most powerful vocalists of the group, they all are very good singers...you can appreciate it in their balades or their solo stuffs...their harmonizations are top notch...last year i think, Melon called them Emperors of K-pop...they are one of the biggest group still despite not being really active since 2019 because of their military service...
I am a multi fan and i can say exo has the best vocalists on the whole kpop industry you have to check out some of their solo songs from
Baekhyun,chen and D.O

Please react to EXO’s music, EXO vocals layer and style are next level. EXO debuted in 2012 with storyline and concept up to now. They can most of the genre of music and their rap is totally different style. I’ll recommend go with EXO ultimate guide or first title song “Mama” 😊 Don’t get confused when you see more /less members of the group from Mv, as they have members left since 2014 and some due to military service, enjoy ～
Nathan,,they are an awesome group.both vocally.and harmony.. React to their killing voice Performance, u will be mesmerised and also get a snippets of all of their songs from old to new...all of them are bops. Some are best oat( Original soundtrack for korean dramas) .exo has been a really popular and on top of the game during the time when bts just started and slowly emerging in.around 2014.,2015..they were big name and ruling the industry.. Its a disappointment despite Their skills.and vocal talent they didnt enter the global market as it was never their aim..otherwise,,they would've been a globally recognised group now based on their potential...

If you really want to know more about pop music from around the world. You could start with Mexico. They have amazing pop artists. Camila, Reik, Jesse and Joy, Ha*Ash….RBD who was huge in the early 2000s and just had a huge reunion tour.

thanks for your reaction to EXO. they are such excellent performers- both as a group, as well as solo acts. from an original 12 members, they're down to 9. currently though, due to mandatory military conscription for South Korean males, only 6 are active. they will be a complete group again in 2025.
if you're also interested in checking out artists from other countries, you can try these 2 groups from the Philippines: SB19 and Bini. they're pretty popular in the country right now. =)
