I recommend that you react to EXO's Dingo Killing Voice as they sang snippets of their hit songs so you can get an idea of EXO sounds. EXO leans more towards R&B and they are very well known for live vocal performances.

I'm not a fan of EXO, but I admit that they are famous without promoting abroad like other groups (apart from China or Japan), in fact in the past they received many invitations to perform overseas such as America and Europe but their agency rejected them because they focused on promotions in China.
Maybe if at that time the agency had allowed EXO to perform and promote overseas it would have been bigger than the group that most people know (Exo-L will definitely understand what I mean)
because at that time usually when a group's songs start to become known (especially from small agencies), they will spend more time outside Korea to promote, especially in America (like 'that group')
But not with EXO, their agency focuses on the Chinese and Japanese markets even though their fanbase is quite large in other continents. Even though I'm not a fan, I noticed it. because in my opinion and kpop friends that is the most unfortunate thing about the performance of big agencies
@@Rarayandina2 sadly SM have a history of stopping the growth of their groups right before they can hit it off. It happened in the past with TVXQ, SNSD and F(X). The three groups that had all the factors that garnered them fame not just in Asian but also Western market but their wings were dispel before they could rise high. SM just hates it when their groups have much even the slightest chance of having power dynamics over the company. Exo in general had the most potential to break through in various markets but were refused the opportunity by their own agency.
@@Tooba-K123 that's what I've thought for a long time, their music and vocals have characteristics that deserve to be recorded in kpop history but the way they manage their artists is very disappointing
@@Rarayandina2 which is why I'm happy for all the events that are happening in 2024. Taemin legit grew up in SM but even he had to leave so think of how much garbage this company must've become, for an artist like Taemin to leave. Taemin is also one of their top soloists but was continuously sidelined for his solo stuff efforts in favor of other stuff. WayV is only a political means to keep a hold onto the last bits of China Basecamp they're left with otherwise WayV is utterly non-existent with the way they're treated. CBX's case is a callback to JYJ, Jessica China line of Exo. Renjun not falling for the same trick as Lucas and Taeyong fell by apologizing for something that wasn't their fault. OneW finally showed the middle finger to SM by leaving as well when he was the most obedient puppet throughout all these years. D.O. didn't fall for the black mailing trap as other members so he went out with renewal of the contract that sets him free. The only sad event that happened is Karina being forced to apologize.
They even wasn’t active for a long time in Japan so their popularity is very limited which is really a shame….
EXO are called VOCAL KINGS AKA EMPEROR of K-POP. All 9 members are multi talented and can do it all from singing, dancing, rapping and they're even actors and musical actors, producers, song writers too.
The main 3 vocalists of EXO are the best 3 male vocalists of K-pop industry.
EXO debuted with a lore or story of being ALIENS from EXO PLANET which is why all 9 members have superpowers such as fire, water, wind, force, healing, light, thunder, frost, teleportation. These are shown in all their Mvs which connects the storyline. So that's what you saw in this MV as well. EXO was the first group to debut with a story in K-pop. They're also trendsetters for many other things.
EXO holds the fastest selling out record in the whole world which they earned by selling out concert tickets within 0.2 second only. They're also known as the kings of live performances.
You definitely should react to TEMPO BY EXO next. EXO killing voice on DINGO would be awesome too.

I'm sorry, i get very excited when people are introduced to this very talented group. In terms of vocals EXO are in another complete level even among western artists and they're one of my favorite groups because of it. I would put them *almost* on the same level as TVXQ, who are known as vocal legends of kpop. But I have to say, EXO truly shines the most in live stages. You could react to any live performance of theirs and it'd be fine because they always give their 100% on-stage, but personally I recommend their MAMA + Monster + Wolf (Remix version) at Tokyo Dome live performance if you want a taste of what they're like in their own concerts. If they had another world tour, I'd sell all my furniture to get a ticket, that's how good their tours are lol, but I digress. Anyway, EXO are respected seniors of their own in the industry and their songs have become staples for other artists to cover. You could check out their Killing Voice to get a better sense of their discography, or alternatively check out Tempo next, which is a really good, unique song where they display all their strengths.

Check out their debut, Mama. Mama is the ruler of the planet they are from, EXO Planet. In the video, they are asking Mama why/how he let everything good basically go to hell. They began with 12 members, and the beginning of the video explains that the 12 legends (members) are torn in half and hidden. Now, they are all coming together to save our planet from the same fate. The Red Force is at war with them. They are out to do some serious damage, and the 12 legends are now tasked to stop them. This should help when/if you choose to react to it, but you really should. It's really good.

I think you should take a closer look at the solo career of one of them in particular: Lay. His M-Pop (mixture of modern sounds with traditional Chinese instruments) is just incredible, as are his music videos. He's a mega star in China, and rightly so : singer, rapper, dancer, producer, actor... I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised. I recommend "Lit", "Veil", "Flying Apsaras", "Honey"... To listen to something totally different I would recommend "Nothing Else Matters" by Voiceplay, then Angelina Jordan - Bohemian Rhapsody. Another song of EXO's is there debut song, MAMA, which introduces the XO Planet, their powers and the symbolism found in most of their songs. It is definitely different from Monster. Mamamoo, who has now disbanded is perhaps my favorite girl group, because the sing and act like women are also great.
EXO and NCT are probably my favorite KPOP groups followed closely by MonstraX and Stray Kids.

EXO is a whole lore, honestly without watching a guide it's hard to go into it, there's tons of stuff. Basic things to know are that EXO are aliens from EXO Planet, each with their own superpower, and have come to Earth to fight the Red Force and save humanity and the Tree of Life. Watching their debut song - MAMA (your highness)- MV would help explain a bit about that since the story is at the beginning of it.

Exo is a bit inactive (not officially) compared to grups that are more trend nowadays. They are 3rd generation kpop and more trendy groups are 4th and 5th generation, so... but still they are famous for their vocal talents, it's rare to have 3 main vacalists in a group and some sub-vocalists that can be easily main vocalists in any other groups. Una de las cosas que me encanta del grupo, es como los productores, coreografos y demás, dicen que es difícil trabajar con ellos, porque son tan talentosos, que quieres probar su talento pero no sabes como.
