I love how you cleaned one side completely before starting the other side. It really showed the "before and after" so well. You did a great job. People coming to church on Sunday were probably amazed.
I just started watching your videos a couple of weeks ago. As a 60 year old woman, my daughters asked me why I like watching them. My answer was, “I find them very relaxing and satisfying”. I think it is seeing how something to simple can make such a huge difference. I find peace watching them and listening to you talk about your beliefs and life’s mission. Thank you.

Revealing that gorgeous light stone was a great idea but you've also probably reduced the chances of someone slipping on the steps which become greasy when left in a dirty condition. NICE JOB!
From the looks of that little country church, it probably only has an elderly to mostly elderly congregation. If so you really did an awesome job helping them out. Great job as usual! God bless you and Rachel and your growing little family!

It’s been dark for so long, probably no one remembers what it used to look like. Fire ants in other places, sprinkle Grits much easier on the environment. Would love to be a fly on the siding when church members see the marvelous difference. Thanks for showing the different stages, job well done!
Diatomaceous earth dries up their shells. It's cheap and non toxic.

Dear LCJ, I want to thank you for the wonderful work you did for us. I had scheduled a manlift for the following weekend to pressure wash the siding and use the new sidewalk attachment for the steps. We have a "mature" congregation. We are young at heart and love our Lord Jesus Christ. We are slowly growing with young families coming to hear Brother Wayne Sewell preach and teach the Word of God. I'm one of the youngest in our church family at 63 and a disabled veteran. I try to wash the church once a year but the mold grows fast and all I used was trisodium phosphate. Just wanted to say you guys are true "Guardian Angels" here on Earth! You warm my heart each and every time I watch you and your amazing little family! As a disabled mom, I too appreciate when someone goes out of their way to do things out of kindness. My husband used to have a lawn care bizz for a few years, and we never made anything from it due to always helping out those who needed it. It was so long ago, we didn't have the internet to help us promote, but we still enjoyed doing what we could to pass on the kindness! Thank you for being the amazing people you are!

I clean headstones and memorials. I use D2 biological solution. This was a huge cleaning project and you did a wonderful job. I would spray the steps with the D2 solution and it will turn the steps as white as the wall in a couple of weeks. (Congratulations on your baby. You and Rachel are a great Christian family)
Concrete steps won't turn white. D2 on marble and other gravestones will turn those white. Concrete never was white so can't turn it to white.
Suzanne, to clean the headstones, do you use a brush, or sponge? And where do you get the D2 biological solution?
We have a problem with rust stains from wire coverings on stained glass windows over our bluestone building. Would the that solution work on that?

I think it was a nice touch at the end where you sprayed for the fire ants. I've seen dirtier churches. Usually, it means that the congregation is small or poor or that they have higher motivations than vanity over the appearances of their building.
I completely agree. It wasn't bad the siding looks pretty new and over all the building looks well kept. You just have have titles like that to get people to click on the video. Personally I love that it was left undone so that I could do it for them. If that saved them a bit that can go towards someone that's hungry in the community or someone older that is struggling then the thought of that makes me happy

I was at a church that had a lawn maintenance committee, and they would get mad at you for picking the weeds around the flower area, so we put it in business meeting. Then all the committee people left the church and only our janitor was left to take care of grounds. Sadly this happens a lot in churches when all the team are same age. Over 70% of church over 70! Kids move away, never go back to church. We need churches to have clean up days. Thanks for doing the concrete. I work out of town, and when I come home, the first thing I do is pour bleach over my concrete walks!

Beautiful job. As I was watching, I was wondering what the conversations would be as the congregation walked up to those steps the next time there was a church service. Would any old timers tell stories about when that concrete was first poured? Would any kid pout that their blood stain from skinning their knees on those steps was washed off? At any rate, I’m sure they were so grateful.

I know black dirty steps like that are a hazard and you can slip on them when they get wet...but personally I find that I like them better than clean steps/sidewalks depending on what house they are in front of. Sometimes dirty rocks have a charm that clean ones don't. An example that most people will probably agree on are dirty 100-200 year old tombstones. Clean ones simply don't have that Gothic charm that dirty ones do.
Definitely agree on the tombstones or an aged patina look by a house. Now you can see these stair better which might be safer.
I love watching these. They are such a de-stresser. I find it peaceful to know you are helping someone and how clean things become. And your wife sounds like such an awesome person. She must be fun to work with when you do these clean up jobs. :)

What a complete transformation of this church building! Washing the steps and the front and doors just makes it look so bright and welcoming. I’d have loved to see the faces of the minister when he stopped by and the congregation on the first Sunday afterward! I’m thinking there may have been talk of a miracle. 😉
