She didn't ruin the vibe on his stream, HE DID. Any reasonable person can control the tone of their response to recover from a deflating or akward moment by BEING HUMAN and moving on - instead he just had a meltdown because he is clearly so low vibration and so weak-willed that any outside influence can destabilize him.
"he is clearly so low vibration and so weak-willed that any outside influence can destabilize him" THAT PART. Maybe he needs more filtering of his chat if he can't handle this without it being so upsetting to him. He had every opportunity to handle this like an adult.
I got a (non cancerous) tumor taken out of my back and i couldnt sleep, so i picked a random streamer and watched them late at night. It was maybe one of three total times I was on Twitch, but I subbed to the dude just for that act alone. It was pretty baller.
She definitely wasn’t “trauma dumping.” If she’s a regular in a 55 average viewer stream then I can absolutely see why she’d feel comfortable enough to say, “my mom died” instead of “something horrible happened!” The fact that this guy was so angry at her and has “strict rules” against sharing bad news is very telling.

As a former partnered streamer this pisses me off. The fact that she came to HIS stream after something so tragic... She went into the stream with hopes of being cheered up and got shitted on about her mom passing. Dude is a P.O.S for that.
Exactly this. Dude couldn't even take a second to think about the fact that on potentially the worst day of her life she chose his stream to lift her spirits and he fucking raked her over the coals. What a fucking dipshit
His emotional maturity is that of a child. Because he spends his entire life probably playing video games, reading Twitter, and streaming on twitch... things in of itself that aren't bad but there's just too many people that that's their entire life. They have no idea how to communicate with people or have real conversations.
She was ridiculed and ignored so quickly for having the fortitude to disclose the tragedy, and they even gaslighted her into believing that she was at fault for responding honestly to a question that she didn't have to answer. That ridiculous reaction says a lot about this streamer as a "person," to put it mildly.
So true. And the fact that she took a „hiatus“ from watching him but is normally a known member in his comunity and therefor probably enjoys whatching him somehow tells me that she returned to his livestream and the chat for some sort of „comfort“ or to distract herself a little and then gets met with such an incredibly rude, discusting response by this stupid motherfucker probably caused her a lot of pain and if not pain then she definitely still felt worse than before. I feel really sorry for her. Losing a parent must be one of the greatest losses a person can endure and it wouldnt have been hard for him to at least respond somewhat empathetic and be like „im so sorry for your loss i wish you all the strength you need in those hard times and i hope that i can at least distract you a little and bring you a little joy.“ Instead of fucking lecturing her like shes a kid or some shit its honestly so disrespectful and i hope she stopped watching this dude matter of fact someone like that shouldnt even have viewers in the first place imo. as somebody who HAS been treated like a therapist in my personal life, there is a MASSIVE GULF between that toxic behavior and just sharing one's feelings and life news (i.e. normal human social behavior). to be clear, what this person did was the latter. the streamer freaked out and basically said don't have emotions or be a human in front of me I can't handle it. what an absolute goofball
THAT would be fucking poetic !!! Then chat could roast his ass about bringing down vibe and ask stupid questions like " why you streaming if all you gonna do is sulk on stream bro ? " IF ANYBODY NEEDS TO BE CANCELED, ITS THIS DOUCHE!

I would think that after being a streamer for any real amount of time, this would be the automatic response... Him saying it's a big bummer indicates (to me) that he's had some vibe killing experiences with similar things in the past... This should have been a practice swing with the ball on a tee, and he somehow managed to assault the umpire with a bat.
One time one of my favorite streamers asked how chat was and I answered honestly saying I was sick at the time and working on getting better. The streamer, whippy, was really nice and mentioned how he hated getting sick and hoped I felt better soon, then told a funny story about a recent time he got sick. You can absolutely have a genuine conversation with chatters who maybe aren't feeling their best without being a jerk or a therapist. SMH to this guy I hope the girl gets through her loss.
I think they’re is a difference between getting sick and u telling someone that to get my mom died or x person in my life died. Like I get both sides of this the man shouldn’t be an ass hat about it but at the same time maybe he doesn’t want trauma dumping in his chat and he considered that as drama dumping like they’re is a bunch of streamers who have in their rules no trauma dumping or say it’s a cozy space. Like trust me the streamer is in the wrong by a fuck ton with how he responded and how his tone was but even I don’t say I’ve lost someone or anything like that to even streamers I watch regularly. And it’s because that’s trying to gain sympathy to someone that’s doesn’t know me and or have any interactions outside of just me in their chat.
The way he says she was arguing with him by saying 'I just answered your question' reminds me of when a teacher is obviously in the wrong and wants to paint the student in as bad a light as possible so they resort to turning everything the student says into something spiteful and disrespectful even if the kid is making complete and total sense.
Now we're policing 'trauma-dumping' to the point that people can't act human. No feelings, no depth, you can only act happy and engage in shallow small-talk.

she lost her mom at what looks as a YOUNG age. losing a parent is devastating even if youre 50! but the pain a young person feels when they lose a parent is indescribable. how could he think that was the appropriate moment for "a lesson"
It baffles me how wildly dissonant this is, he's so detached from human emotion and empathy he sees someone going through a tough time as an inconvenience to HIM.
He killed the vibe far more himself than if he just gave a normal response like "I'm sorry that happened hope the stream is able to take your mind off it"
The fact she thought she was partially in the wrong for saying her mother died is so sad. Like no, you aren't, you literally just lost the person who created you and took care of you, that pain is unfathomable, allowing one comment to slip out and allude to that insurmountable pain is ok.

"Oh your mom died? I'm so sorry to hear that dude, let's hope we can get some good vibes going this stream to cheer you up" This situation could have been completely avoided with that sentence.
"Be good looking" Ah yes. Allow me to objectify you in every possible way, because you are here for MY benefit, not the other way around. This dude SUCKS and i cannot believe people pay him for the burden of his company. lmao
I agree. It’s like, “Hey, my whole family got offed in a car accident,” and some dude replies “Meh.”, I’d be pissed, not sad. Seriously makes my blood boil.
They even gaslit her into thinking that she was the one who was wrong for giving a genuine response to a question she honestly didn’t have to give an answer to, and yet she was courageous enough to share the tragedy - only to be bullied and disregarded so swiftly. Speaks volumes about who this streamer truly is as a “human,” because that reaction was unreasonable.
The thing that got me was the oh after he was corrected about what he said the 1st time like you just straight lies about what he asked her and then when she corrected me goes oh All snarky
True story. I had a friend on Facebook I didn’t know that well. We got along fine, but she wasn’t a close friend. One night I received a message from her on Facebook. Her husband had been killed in an accident and she knew I was often online late, so, in desperation, she sent me a message. At first I was, “Phek, who’s texting me now?” And, “I’ll get rid of them fast.” Then I read the message and knew humanity has to come first. I have many flaws, but this wasn’t one of them. I ended talking to her every night as she cried. I listened, and tried to be supportive, but I knew just being there was what she really needed. About a year later I was making a silly post about always wanting a cherry sunburst Les Paul. A few people were talking about things they always wanted but didn’t get. About a weeks later I got a large package in the mail. It was a Cherry sunburst Gibson Les Paul worth a few grand with a note thanking me for being there. In short? Though virtue is it’s own reward,,,, a new Les Paul doesn’t hoit. Be good for goodness sake,,, and sometimes it even has unique rewards. Peace,,,,
That's awesome! Being kind to someone in their darkest hour is a very big deal, even though it's literally just being kind human being, the sad reality is that much more people like this horrible people act like this loser, than how you did, and that's horrifying to me, but reading your story gave me some faith that more nice people, than assholes exist!
funnily enough he could have completely avoided it by simply saying 'hey it's been a while glad you're back!' doesn't even require her to respond so he doesn't have to respond either.
It would have been as simple as saying "Oof, I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully today's stream can help lift your spirits." That would have been a lot more smooth and professional than what he did.
This actually pisses me off as someone who lost their most around this time of year as well as a streamer,. Actually a despicable person and what a rude response to someone in one of the most vulnerable situations life can put you in. Hope his community is better than him at supporting each other.
Stay strong , bro, it’ll be 9 years for me on the 28th. Shit is rough but all we can do is live up to their memory of us :) Hope you have a good holiday season and a great new year
This time of year? The whole thing started because it happend a whiles back and she's been absent for a chunk of time. But yeah first Christmas and all
It was literally the easiest dub handed to him, all he had to say was "I'm really sorry to hear that, but I'm glad you were able to make the stream.". That's it, the bare bones of all it would've taken to be a decent person. She was obviously a big part of his chat if he noticed, so it would've been easy to say "they were worried about her" and/or ask chat to show her some love to help her feel not alone. Literally do anything but what he did.
Remember when Lupo had a dude say he would kill himself and how he responded? That's the dub he could have had, dude could have been there to really help someone and went viral positively. Now he's an ass and we all hate him
This is horrible. Imagine having the most traumatic experience if your life and finally opening up to the community you think will be supportive and getting shamed
The fact that she was a loyal member in his community to the point that he noticed she was gone….. I couldn’t imagine if my favorite streamer yelled at me like that I wouldn’t know what to do
i experienced an old fav streamer make fun of me and call me manipulative ‘as a joke’ in his stream and I cried so hard but then again I was young and emotionally unstable. Couldn’t imagine what the person in this video is experiencing rn
Yeah, it's like you found one of those few places on the Internet where you can chill out and talk to others and then the chief of this asylum pours gasoline and throws toxic gas everywhere 💀
People need to realise, streamers for the most part are not your friend, the pseudo-relationship they offer is a means to get donations and ad-revenue.
ive been slightly called out before by my favourite streamer and it destroyed me. (i was a kid at the time) i have no idea what this person went through. i feel so bad
also the fact that she felt comfortable telling him that and he basically just said i don’t wanna hear it, is insane. The confidence he had telling her off too is absurd!
Our society and the people para-social relationships have gotten out of hand. Why couldn't she just say, I don't want to talk about it. But no she had to announce that her mom is dead trying to gain sympathy from strangers on the internet.
@@CoffeeFresh_ cuz her mom did die? And he asked her why she hasnt been active? Its a simple reason, didn't really draw it out. He brought more attention to it going on a rant than just saying rip and carrying on with the stream. You're making what she did way worse than it was.
This reminds me of a stream Etika did where a chat member jokingly said in a donation that his mom died. Etika went on a 20 minute talk about how awful of a thing it is for someone’s mom to die and trying to comfort him before realizing it was a joke. Etika was Fr the goat
I spend a lot of time on twitch, and about a month ago in one of my all time favorite streamers chat, there was a person who commented about going through a rough time and potentially being suicidal. Almost every message in chat was supportive and so was the streamer. This was in a stream of about 900 people, and the entire community came together to support this person. It's not that hard to be kind and have some empathy, jeez.
Exactly. I'd see the best response that a streamer could give is a thoughtful pause, a "Hey, I'm really sorry to hear that. I'm glad you're here today hanging out. Maybe we can make today a good day." It's short, it's thoughtful and empathetic, and it redirects the mood from sad to hopeful and lighthearted.
Thank you for making this Charlie. Looking at the comments on that Twitter thread this morning, I was sick to my stomach to see people even having the audacity to argue why she was in the wrong for this. I couldn’t believe so many people’s first response to this was anything other than empathy. Good on you as always Chuck👍🏼
I lost my mother about almost three years ago. I cannot imagine anyone acting like this to someone who is grieving and taking a break. She was a regular viewer and supporter who was going through a rough time, and she probably felt she could confide in him a little. He knew who she was, and she was obviously a regular in his chat. She felt safe in that small community, just for him to put her on blast in front of everyone there. I truly hope she is doing ok, and I am happy that she is getting love and support from everyone, and that he was called out for his behavior.
She wasn't even trying to use him as a therapist, like he tried making her out to be. There's a difference between going into something heavy and just being real for a moment. He literally could've just gave her his condolences and moved on, and the "cHiLl ViBeS" would still be there. Maybe a "it'll be alright" or some generic uplifting shit like that, that people usually give to that kind of news
@@mikemayo4812 I mean, I have a feeling he embarrassed her a little bit too. And the poor girl was blaming yourself, saying that she shouldn’t have talked about it. I feel so bad for her.

Notice how he asked where she had been and not how she had been. That shows he doesn’t even care about her, he only cares about her contribution to the chat.
I lost my dad a couple years ago, right in the middle of the pandemic. It’s even worse than that because we were reconnecting after over a decade of a strained father-son relationship. It made covid a helluva lot harder. You don’t have to care, but it costs you nothing to say nothing or offer condolences. What a rat.

Peace,,,,
That’s a cool story and you’re a legend for helping her ❤
We need more people like you in the world
That's awesome! Being kind to someone in their darkest hour is a very big deal, even though it's literally just being kind human being, the sad reality is that much more people like this horrible people act like this loser, than how you did, and that's horrifying to me, but reading your story gave me some faith that more nice people, than assholes exist!
Imagine how annoyed he would’ve been if she had lost BOTH parents.
Lol
"Bro, I Can't believe you'd say that, now you're bringing down everyone in chat who isn't parentless... Why would you do that bro!"
He probably would've complained she didn't spread that trauma out over time
😆💀
The audacity she must have to lose BOTH parents.
Ironically, him giving her a basic empathetic response was easier than having a massive baby rage moment about it.
funnily enough he could have completely avoided it by simply saying 'hey it's been a while glad you're back!' doesn't even require her to respond so he doesn't have to respond either.
Right speaking about etiquette but is not showing any
It's the people's fault for supporting these parasites.
It would have been as simple as saying "Oof, I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully today's stream can help lift your spirits."
That would have been a lot more smooth and professional than what he did.
This actually pisses me off as someone who lost their most around this time of year as well as a streamer,. Actually a despicable person and what a rude response to someone in one of the most vulnerable situations life can put you in. Hope his community is better than him at supporting each other.
Lost their moist.
Sorry for your loss man. This shit is not okay and I'm glad it's being talked about by someone with a big platform.
Stay strong , bro, it’ll be 9 years for me on the 28th. Shit is rough but all we can do is live up to their memory of us :)
Hope you have a good holiday season and a great new year
@@David_Jones8112 There’s a time and place my guy.
This time of year? The whole thing started because it happend a whiles back and she's been absent for a chunk of time. But yeah first Christmas and all
Fucking disgusting dude this made me genuinely mad like wtf..... I hope she's mentally well and finds someone to talk to that can genuinely help
I’ve never wished someone to fail in life but man this guy deserves it
i 100% agree, i hope he gets fucked with every sponsor for this bullshit, idc.
Agreed, he's a massive scumbag
this guy has failed upwards his entire career
whats his twitch or twitter??
You are right to not wish him failure in life, thats not cool. However seeing him fail in twitch would be fuckin funny
"Damn, that sucks. Glad you're feeling good enough to come back around though."
It's literally so simple.
Yeah you're spot on there. The way he immediately shines the spotlight on her when he notices her, it's insane how he's trying to justify this.
Remember when Lupo had a dude say he would kill himself and how he responded? That's the dub he could have had, dude could have been there to really help someone and went viral positively. Now he's an ass and we all hate him
He's an asshole straight up. His mind was completely incapable of producing a response even close to "I'm sorry for your loss."
@@victoriancarwash4393 Awwe I’m sorry that happened to you, no one deserves that.
@@CoffeeFresh_ what? 💀
@@CoffeeFresh_ cuz her mom did die? And he asked her why she hasnt been active? Its a simple reason, didn't really draw it out.
He brought more attention to it going on a rant than just saying rip and carrying on with the stream. You're making what she did way worse than it was.
@@CoffeeFresh_ me after the lobotomy
@@CoffeeFresh_ cringe why are people like you defending this? 😬
This reminds me of a stream Etika did where a chat member jokingly said in a donation that his mom died. Etika went on a 20 minute talk about how awful of a thing it is for someone’s mom to die and trying to comfort him before realizing it was a joke. Etika was Fr the goat
RIP ETIKA
I miss him more every day :(
"her last words were subway subs are only 11 inches" i remember, that shit had me rolling
I remember that stream. Even though the donation was a joke you can hear that Etika cared for that person.
@@pip4349 I never saw it but this comment got me rolling
Charlie. It’s so refreshing to see a massive youtuber as down to earth as you. Keep rocking man. Love your stuff.
Maybe we can make today a good day."
It's short, it's thoughtful and empathetic, and it redirects the mood from sad to hopeful and lighthearted.
awesome!
Most twitch chats are full of idiots.
yeah, like imagine if he said that shit to a suicidal person and they acted on it. hes a terrible person
So who is your all time favourite streamer???

He only embarrassed himself. She didn't do anything wrong.
@@mikemayo4812 I mean, I have a feeling he embarrassed her a little bit too. And the poor girl was blaming yourself, saying that she shouldn’t have talked about it. I feel so bad for her.
I'm honestly crying a little for this person, losing a parent, I cannot imagine, I'm so sorry for you, I want to hug you for what this guy has said to you, I want to punch him in the face for you, really! I'm so sorry for you, and I hope you are getting better
I can imagine his next streaming session the entire chat is posting "bad news" and being sympathetic with each other.
What a rat.
Sorry for your loss as well. That sucks
BRO you're really bumming out my comment reading experience,, can you like not trauma dump in the comments jeeeez.. I'M JOKING, sorry for your loss; i know how it feels to lose family & it fucking sucks- hope you're doing better.

I’m sure it meant the world to your father that you reconnected.
That poor girl. I hope she isn't too impacted by this drama emotionally. She's going through more than enough as is. She doesn't deserve this.

@@0pheli0n there are so many creepers on the internet wtf are u guys talking about. Yes “surprisingly” it’s not always comfortable talking to strangers online. Just be smart and logical it’s not hard to understand what he meant as in “weirdos on the internet”
@@mervunit dw a lot of the penguinz followers are very slow I know what you meant it’s ok man.
I think this is by far the most easily avoidable drama ever. How can you be a streamer who talks in front of people constantly and have that little social awareness
Talking to an audience of people online doesn't necessarily make you a social butterfly though.
@@celticfox but you don't have to be a social butterfly to have basic levels of social awareness
@@itsmikki44 charlie is the perfect example
Clout goblins have zero awareness nor common decency. Just look at the moron bots. They don't care about their image, they just want that subs number to go up. Pathetic little creatures...
A streamer acting like a narcissist…who would’ve thought
this pisses me off because when I was 8 years old my father had passed away, it was one of the toughest times of my life and to see someone belittled for having a similar experience and sharing it is just terrible.
Takes a certain level of psychopathy to essentially respond to the news of someone losing a loved one with "Uuuuuuugh, dude, kill joy much?!"
Omg I know… AND DOESNT HE REALIZE THIS IS BEING RECORDED?? Like he should not be able to stream ever
I think it's due to the fact that he's staring at a screen. for him to deduct such an immoral reaction towards the message, if he were to be in a circle of people in irl the guy would've responded properly like a decent empathetic human being.
Since he's a streamer he probably thinks he's in his own bubble, his own set of rules, kind of thing.
@@123evilwolf I think you are giving him too much credit. I'll bet my left kidney he is a douchebag IRL too. I feel like content creation kind of lends itself to people feeling egotistical and self-important. There's a level of entitlement to it, and this guy felt entitled to "good vibes" or something. This is indicated in his "apology" video where he celebrates getting a follower and doesn't edit it out. Guy is 100% an unlikable ass.
Stuff like this actually reminds me that 1 in 100~200 people are sociopaths/have ASPD.
"Your mom died? way to for her to kill the mood."
