if the cameras run at 12v then you'll get more hours by connecting them directly to the battery instead of using the UPS inverter... then your UPS will only be used to keep the battery charged
Off topic but pls help. My DVR 's hard disk stops when ups change to battery mode. Why could be the problem? I tried to change the ups and the hdd. But problem not sorted. Pls help...
Hi there! I too tried this for my cameras with a similar ups , but instead of a deep cycle battery I used a 3s 16p Li ion with a bms... So when they batteries are low the it'll automatically cut off the power to the ups(at 3.2v). But the problem I have is that at 11.7v the ups shuts down cause the ups thinks the battery voltage is low. Any ideas? I could find the voltage diver and mod that. Please help me out?
There may be a problem with changing the big batteries with this. It is made to charge the smaller battery and if the big batteries get discharged much it may burn itself up trying to charge them. There is a big difference in the internal resistance between the two types of batteries.
@@HBPowerwall Sooo.... I have a question to you.. I have the 700 back-ups.. it uses only one 12 v 7ah.can i add an additional of like two other same battery but connect it in parallel.and if yes... Will they charge.. and work in a longer time
The problem I have with UPS's as that they charge the battery to and keep at a high voltage (i.e. 14.4V) and that cooks the battery. with such large batteries that might not be a problem but the way I would do it I would remove the ac in and use it as basically an inverter and have PV panels charge the batteries. 31w. add inefficacies and a full day and call it 100w. you could have 1 100w panel charging the batteries and no need for ac in... job done. Or run the cams off the batteries without inverting and converting
+Phillip Aboody Battery voltage has not exceeded 13.2v so I think that the size of the batteries and the fact they are pretty much stuffed will make it safe & fun experiment. As for running them directly off battery, you just spoilt the next two videos I was planning for this. Already have it setup to run full time off battery & solar :) I have 4 separate DVR's running 16 cameras - but that's another video :)
@Phill AboodY can i run 2x 200 amp Batteries 🔋, Ritar Batteries on 650 VA, /350 Watt Eaton UPS. 🤔 Just Remember the Batteries i keep them in 12 volt Parallel..
@@HannesBrandt As JUST a 350 W inverter, sure (I wouldn't max it out to 350W btw). As a charger? I wouldn't. Like I said, if you are going to charge the batteries, use a different power source as these are dumb devices and they may cause damage.

lasted for 2 years and died due to water ingress so i'm happy with the result

Well, but it can carry upto 150w load . In case of more than 150w load the ups will be damaged.
So don't connect with your home appliences of high wattage even one or more than 4 appliences of low wattage

How has it holded up over the years? Any extra tips? Like many others was thinking of trying an AGM battery.
Ooh I don't know how long ago this as decommissioned, worked well enough at the time tho.
Hello there
Way you don't have beeping?????
Good job, but you can not charge the battery, because a great big Tisaha permission to use the truck must be outsourced
Knew it was always something like that.. thanks for the heads up ...

Did i notice you have two 12v batteries in series = 24v? That won't work with a 12v UPS.
2 x 6v batteries.. worked perfectly
These type of UPS have a timer limit, can you make a video disabling that timer?
I run it for 2 years before it failed - not sure there was ever a timer in this one

you need a go pro mounted to a helmet so you can use both hands.
I did consider that however i felt sick watching it back :) You funded cell holders for the next pack (50th kWh) i'll need a name :)
sir how to remove the no load protection because this type of ups shout down after few second
always have load ? don't know sorry but that setup is still running sweet months later :)
your problem lies in the variable resistor and must be open in full
