Dan, I have spent the last few hours watching your INCREDIBLE Mandala tie dye and bed sheet videos. I can spend hours on hours watching you and the art of fabric dying. Where have you been all my life? I’m addicted!
Wow! Reminds me of a set of full sized sheets a guy dyed for me of blues & purple back in the late 70’s, I got many years of use out of them and the colors held up well throughout many washes. Yours are so vibrant, ❤ them. Thanks for the demonstration and reveal. I know this is 4 years ago.

@@ladywindzephyr7540 it would if the tye dye was cotton broadcloth. Whole cloth quilting used to be a common thing back in the day but the whole cloth was either white or red ( red was a rare occurrence made by the more adventurous women)
Dear Dan, what an amazing teacher you are. I have seen many videos on tie and dye but yours is the best that I have ever seen. You are a master creator and your designs are stunning. I just can't wait to experiment one. I do lot of hot dye, vegetable dye, and biological dye, but I never tried Ice dye work. You really inspired me. When I try one, I will send you the picture. Certainly I look forward to see more ideas from you. Once again Thank You so much.

Love love love ...Groovey ✌🏼❤️ 😊 I haven’t made Tie-Dye since probably the 80s or early 90s and my son just turned 18 in April. & If they’re not working him & his friends play lots of video games. I was talking to them about doing some tie dye on some old shirts & they loved the idea that I was going to do my shirts ,they started getting excited and saying which shirts they’d want to do. It was nice to hear they want to join in on the fun. They’re in 11th grade & as the world knows they had to do school at home & they usually attend a career center, so they’re used to hands on. Since they didn’t get to do that I’m thinking of having them all come outside and bring some old shirts or whatever & make a day of Tie-Dying everything we can! They all work together, go to school together , they’re the three amigos & I’m the Groovy mom..lol I’m a beginner bc now that I’m 41 It’s been years since I’ve done this. I can’t wait to do this. I appreciate your videos, it’s definitely going to get these teenagers/ young men outside doing something fun & hands on. You’re work is beautiful & they look like the shape of animal crackers before you un-tied them lol ..pretty cool seeing the process. I subscribed & I hope 🤞 ours turns out somewhat like yours! I know you’ve been doing this much longer so yours is definitely going to be better! I guess I’ll never know until we try..I’ll check out your links. Thanks again ✌🏼❤️🤗 Btw my husband name is Dan ✌🏼
Am wondering if I can freeze the soda ash solution in my ice cube trays? Has anyone tried that? I like to dye silk scarves & hankies, to wear and use in mixed media art.

Several different approaches than others. Thanks for the delightful and informative video. Question: Does the foil band help keep the dye on the sides of the folded & banded fabric? I can imagine that when the ice melts the dye and/or the ice could simply fall off.
