Hey Enzo, looking for advice regarding one of my weakness I notice sometimes getting mental fatigue and that my mind tends to think about random shit during indoor karting sessions and not always being able to keep that 100% focus/drive/aggression and to carry that throughout an entire session, maybe as its indoor karting I'm not quite getting a thrill from speed as you would with more powerful series, does or should that even play a role? I can't tell if its a fitness thing as I'm relatively fit or just my character/brain or maybe that its not even possible to stay 100% perfectly focused the entire time. any thoughts/experience with others dealing with this?

Hi Kyle thanks for reaching out. You are right, it isn't usually possible to remain 100% focused whilst driving. Our minds will easily wonder and random thoughts pop in. It's completely normal. However, how long you remain distracted each time a thought comes in, is more controllable.
This is all about breaking the thought pattern that has crept in by shutting it down and refocusing the mind on the next corner that is coming up. So you are driving away and you start to think about what to have for dinner tonight and WHAM, you say to your self "Screw dinner, late apex for this hairpin please!" As an example.
Also notice your body posture in the seat and any other physiological differences between when you are switched on compared to when you are mentally drifting away. You may need to shake your body out of it also and wake things up physically. I'll do a future video on this. Thanks again.

@@EnzoMucci Appreciate the response, I guess in my mind my immediate solution would be to stop the mind wandering all together which maybe it's possible maybe not idk😄 but because that's how I picture other athletes would be at the top of their game never having these moments at all I'm not taking into account that maybe they do and they've done all they can and put things in place in to limit it's impact and refocus, I'll also pay attention to my body posture next session, I have noticed I'll catch myself almost slouching even in the kart and straighten myself up but once again thanks for the response👍👍
