in the manga's bonus pages its revealed who's memory formed what doppelganger, the last ones are: senshi is chilchuck's (he thinks the man is hot, dwarfs are very attractive by half-foot's standarts) , marcille is laios's (the way she was during the resurrection Left An Impression) and chilchuck is marcille's (she be infantilizing him, though not as much as senshi) (senshi's doppelganger are Wildly off base) i think its so sad how none of his teammates really See laios for who he is :(
I thought nothing of it during the episode but the way you phrased it made this episode 100x sadder. Nobody in the group really understands Laios, the only solace was that he didn't seem to take it personal.
@@OuroborosTheInvincible also, Laios despite having minor details appearances are the closest to the real members. They say he has terrible memory but they couldn't formulate a genuine memory of Laios. To be fair for Marcille, she was shocked how masculine Laios is even though Falin said they're almost like twins.
Doppeldungeons Laios - Marcille: Serious looking Marcille, with her hair down. It’s how she looked when resurrecting Falin, which left a strong impression on him. Her spellbook was accurate in looks but not in actual spells because Laios is familiar with it but not too much. Laios - Senshi: Pretty accurate in looks and personality, but missing the helmet hole because Laios doesn’t really care about equipment. Laios - Chilchuck: Same as Senshi, his neck wrap is now a scarf. Marcille - Laios: Overly tall and masculine. Was told that Laios looks very similar to Falin, so seeing him for the first time was a shock. Marcille - Senshi: The one with the weird equipment. Wasn’t seen much in the anime but he looked overly dopey because that was her first impression of him. Marcille - Chilchuck: Younger seeming Chilchuck, but not as much as Senshi. She knows intellectually that he’s an adult but she doesn’t really get it deep down. Senshi - Laios: Looks more feminine, almost similar to Falin. Male tallmen (humans) seem kinda feminine to dwarves, especially clean shaven ones like Laios. Senshi - Marcille: This is ‘Handsome Marcille’! Senshi grew up hearing negative stereotypes of elves, and it still affects him subconsciously despite him knowing Marcille. Senshi - Chilchuck: The Chilchuck who looks youngest. Marcille knows Chilchuck is an adult but doesn’t get it. Senshi, by contrast, absolutely does not think Chilchuck is an adult at all. He doesn’t know much about half-foots Chilchuck - Laios: The crazy-looking Laios. Chilchuck has known him the longest of these guys and thinks he’s kinda weird and dangerous (even though he cares deep down) Chilchuck - Marcille: Fairly accurate, and her hair is almost better quality than the original’s because he likes blondes lol. Her spellbook is simplistic because Chilchuck has no idea what’s in there. Chilchuck - Senshi: Overly handsome Senshi. A lot of male half-foots tend to find male dwarves masculine and handsome
This was a fun episode! We never know whether it'll be serious or light, but it's always done well, one of my favorite things about this show. The Autism Spectrum is more of a wheel than a line. There's no progression, no better or worse, just different needs and challenges. Within a specific set, it's not just random, but it's a wheel, not a line. Laios - and he is very much coded as autistic - would probably fall under low support needs, just because whatever challenges he may be dealing with are not obvious. It's fitting that he doesn't necessarily notice the physical features of his companions, but he definitely notices their behavior.
As an Autistic person, yes, this! It is an Autistic spectrum because we all vary in Autistic traits and it isn't a line regarding our traits. It's a wheel! What we do experience is something called spiky skill sets where we can be fine in one area and other areas we struggle in. Like we can be really good at text messages or phone calls, but struggle with emails. And these skill sets can fluctuate all our lives. Yeah, Laios is definitely Autistic! Especially a low support needs Autistic person. Especially, because he doesn't need as much support as higher support needs Autistic people and because his actual needs are not recognized by Allistic (Not Autistic) people. Laios is very well written as an Autistic character. Very relatable as an Autistic person.
Laios' Cjilchuck and Senshi were supposedly locked away early. I actually assumed it was Laois' Marcille because he has actually read her spell book, but isn't great with details, so it looks right but not spot on. The Senshi I think was Cjilchuck, cause we know Laios' Senshi, and Cjilchuck instantly agrees that Senshi is handsome like that. Then, I think the Cjilchuck would be Marcille.or Senshi's because both see him as a cute child
Based on extra material, you are correct. The final Marcille was Laios'. Specifically, the author notes that Marcille back when she was more serious, casting the black magic, left a strong impression on him. That explains the hair being down and her tone.
The party: Laios wont figure out who the real one is! Also the party: had such inaccurate ideas of Laios the real one was immediately sussed out Like seriosly, Laios' mistakes for his copies were generally being a bit bad with details in their appearance. Not HUGE personality differences. Makes me kind of sad tbh :((
Also, on your autism talk, you're more likely to have adhd in my opinion (diagnosed with both) There are some traits of adhd that are very similar to autism, including hyperfixations vs special interests, but adhd is way more common (it's actually a dominant gene, autism is a recessive gene which is why it can skip generations but adhd generally doesn't) AND people with adhd don't typically have sensory issues the way autistic people do Tbh the things that autistic have that no adhd person I've met has experienced is EVERY SINGLE autistic person also has gastrointestinal issues (leaky gut leads to a lot of problems) AND our senses work differently then most people's so we can hear electricity. Lights make sound when they're on cause of the electricity in them. These aren't professional diagnosing things, this is my research from being autistic with autistic family and friends AND being adhd with adhd family and friends. My brother with just adhd can't hear electricity but has enough shared traits he's sometimes thought of as autistic, but he is just extremely adhd. My other brother with autism can't stand the light in his bedroom because "it's so loud". My mother and I (also autistic) agree. But the way you talk just reminds me of my adhd brother is all i really meant to say, plz don't take any of this as an insult just. Kind of infodumping tbh
Ngl, the more story heavy episodes with Falin, the Red Dragon and the Lunatic Mage are my favourites because it's more my style. Not to say that I don't like the more chill ones, but this was easily my favourite of them. It's totally in character for Laios to be completely oblivious to people's feelings but be so damn insightful when it comes to habits and observing them. Especially monster related ones. Add to that his dog impression (where that was clearly not a voice actor, that was an actual bark) that Falin mentioned earlier too. This isn't the show I eagerly await the next episode but it's definitely the one I enjoy most this season when I do get to it.
Really enjoying your reactions to this show! This episode is really fun seeing how the shapeshifters are based on each character's perception and I am super excited for the next episode
Hey I wanted to add as an Autistic person, if you think you are Autistic that you interact with the Actually Autistic community even under the #ActuallyAutistic tag and do research regarding that by listening to Autistic adults from all over. Or even look into Autistic led organizations like Neuroclastic (especially this one has great resources!) or even Autistic Self Advocacy Network or the Autistic women & Non-binary Network because they have more accurate stuff on Autistic led experiences due to it being Autistic led. Why I say that is because most Allistic (not Autistic) people don't understand what is or isn't Autistic. So someone saying you aren't Autistic doesn't mean anything because most people don't actually really understand what being Autistic looks like or what it is like to be Autistic. Not saying you are Autistic by the way! I'm saying if you want to figure out if you are Autistic or not, I highly recommend doing research within our community because most Allistic people spread frankly inaccurate stuff about us. Especially from Autism Speaks that is a hate group for Autistic people and more. I'm not even touching on all the ableist nonsense within Autism research and all the eugenics along with that. So I recommend if you want to figure it out, I highly recommend doing research within my actual community and decide for yourself if that sounds like you or not. If not, that's fine! If you think you are, then awesome! And even if you decide to get an official diagnosis or not, the Autistic community actually accepts self diagnosed Autistic people too! Especially due to barriers around getting an Autistic diagnosis. So anyways, I just thought I would share that! Anyways, loved the reaction for this episode!❤
Dang, Falin wasn't lying, Laios really does have the best dog impression!

The localization popped off in this one, the creative liberties they took were excellent

it was revealed in bonus chapter, senshi imagined marcille as the insta model one 😂 i always love your comments abt dungeon meshi!
