“Rose has an intelligence but a naïveté, which I think is really interesting for the part. She has these great brown, wide eyes that are very expressive & thoughtful.”
    MTE exactly, Theo.

I keep re watching season 1 reliving the highs and the blows at the end lol. Heartbreaking everytime. Sadly Stringer and Sidney had movie and tv commits and couldn't do the 2nd season

You got to love Theo. He is an incredible actor. In every movie and tv series he is amazing. I haven't seen every movie or tv series but I have seen a lot of movies that he is in and he is very talented. Also he can do more than just acting he can sing and beat box too. He's also gorgeous!

I lovelovelove Andrew Davies’ rowing metaphor. I’ve no doubt he’ll do Sidlotte wedding night justice. C’mon season 2, we need you!!! 😫😩😭🙏🏼

I agree. I hadn't thought of the scene in that way. Yes, looking forward on the wedding night conveyance. It's encouraging this video was posted so recently. People are still reeling from the cancellation of this show and want more!

Charlotte falls into a snake pit and mistakes the intensity of the experience with love. This story is perverse, and the perverse gain control in it, whereas the sound hearted are torn apart. How fandom demanded a second season is just incomprehensible. To fight furiously to see more of this is an illness in itself.

Which is why season 2 is so enjoyable- no Sidney Parker and a love story worthy of Austen.

I definitely wanted a further series though I was angry that Charlotte was infanticised by Davies - or by the actress with that ghastly simpering. Austen's Charlotte is about 22. She's a bit too inclined to speak thoughts re others she hardly knows and should keep to herself, but she is also quite sensible and it works with Austen's text. The talk in this video of Charlotte's wide eyes. Ugh. She kept simpering and I wished she'd get off the screen. It was horrible. l found her a crashing bore and beats me why Sidney would be interested in her - IMO they were not at all suited. So it worked better in a way that he was killed off I suppose as she matured thank goodness in S2 and 3 and found an insecure troubled man with 2 young people all needing her help. IMO either Davies or the actress had made her in S1 too young and a bit silly, more like the heroine of Northanger Abbey and no way could I see Sidney being interested in her.

I disagree with you. Myself and millions of viewers who fought and supported Season 1 to continue because of the excellent performances of these 2( Theo James & Rose Williams ) along with other actors in S1. They were all fantastic and made us fall in love with the story, their love story. Both characters had flaws and we see the development at the end. Rose is lovely and so beautiful on screen..both of them are gorgeous. I was hoping for more transformation of these characters in S2. Theo and Rose portrayed the characters very well and I say it will not be replicated whoever portrays these characters again in the future. ❤️ That’s why I will keep these Season in my heart and appreciated authors who ends their story into a happy ending.

Im very disappointed that Theo James won't be in season two of Sanditon.
I bought season 1, and now its a waste. Its like Colin Firth not being in the second part of Pride and Prejudice. What a waste of abated energy with something to look forward to, all banashed.

I must admit thee are times I wish Andrew Davies would leave Austen alone. I was also dismayed by his attempt to do the wonderful masterpiece War and Peace in 6 trivial episodes. What a waste. Some of Davies is good but his liking to spice up these old stories is so annoying.
