I grow Aloe Vera Barbadensis in the UK and have for a number of years. I have a house full of plants and use it on a regular basis. I am now 39 years old but look younger than I did at age 26. Everyone should be growing this and using it, amazingly they arent. It is still a hidden gem.

I had friend that suffered in pain from a stomach ulcer, I gave her aloe Vera and her ulcer was healed in about 2 weeks. Just cut the inside of plant out wash the slime off, chop it up and blend it with whatever you drink. It not only heals outside wounds, but inside wounds also.

Thanks for the infor. on Aloe vera plant. I knew it since I was little as a special wound healing plant in Africa. I buy and drink the juice: I also use the jell topically. It is a very valuable God given beneficial plant to man. Who said it is man made? Don't make the Creator furious; give him glory for the benefit of all we can find in nature especially in plants.

And none that you can find in any supermarket has this approval!

Wonderful info on an ancient plant!
You can use a potato/carrot peeler on the skin instead of struggling with a knife to take the skin off.
A suggestion: in the text, the word 'lose" should replace "loose" at 6:24. Also, at 18:09 "nursery's" should be "nurseries."

There is a video by Tinklenburg using aloe vera as a capping agent for colloidal silver. Usually the capping agent is gelatin which vegans and vegitarians won't use. I've not tried it yet but just transplanted a huge aloe and 7-8 offspring. I'm going to try them outdoors this coming summer. Another great video Superfood. I've got a crazy idea for colloidal silver aloe salve. I'll LYK how it turns out.

The little baby Aloe plants that grow around the mature parent plant are sometimes called "pups", and they are tender, crispy, and very good eaten raw without any special preparation. Powdered Aloe is prepared from the dried skin of the leaf and has a very strong acrid odor. The fresh Aloe plant will sometimes exhibit a strong unpleasant odor if it is not healthy, but a nice healthy plant does not have that quality.

+Fatima, why would you want to boil it? It is perfectly safe and wholesome fresh from the plant. Cooking will destroy all its beneficial properties.

I was told that raw aloe Vera is very cooling and eating it raw in the long run will give rise to joints pain. I was advised to boil it like the Chinese does it: boil it with red dares and goji berry or with pearl barley.

The Koreans like to drink this in a very sweet drink. I wonder if it's healthy that way.
