    I’m sure this is just scaling up 1080p to 4K (basically zooming in), and it’s not actually re-sampling the data and preserving the quality.
    It still won’t be decent 4K I’m afraid without some proper superscale/ai upscaler

    Can I then drag copy to a 4k timeline with 4k footage and export in 4k
    ie I shoot 4k on gopro that is main sequence.
    Shoot 360 camera and that probably exports to 1080 do what you say here in its own sequence once done put it on main sequence and edit there?

    Wow, thanks for sharing. Is there a way for doing the same for 1080p footage that was shot in 120fps, while keeping that frame rate and pumping it up to 4K for the SloMo effect? There is a way for doing this by filming in 60fps 4K and then letting AI do the magic and guessing the missing 60fps, but that doesn’t look as smooth as native 4K 120fps. I could imagine doing your way of upscaling instead of upframing would result in a better quality?

    • @antpruitt
      @antpruitt  3 года назад +3

    I knew this was possible. I travel the world and I have a lot of footage on 1080p I want to use it for a project. Thanks. If you have any recommendations of video tutorials that are good for color grade let me know. Thanks.

      @@antpruitt I don't know if youtube allows but if you have a link to that I would appreciate it. I am shooting in 4K now. I have a lot of footage in 1080p from all over the world I could use for a project but I really want to upgrade it for the purpose of selling it. I would like to do some stock footage stuff.

    Can you compare Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve upscale with Adobe Premiere pro upscale please and if possible with video2x (free AI upscale and interpolation for image/video). I wonder how good it will go with video interpolation from 30fps to 60fps by using DAIN or RIFE, sadly my gpu is to slow for that insanity lol....
